Unit installed November 2021, worked very well and in stall appeared fine. Unit stopped September 2025, less that 4 years. Called the customer service" line (offshore), initially told the 1 year warranty had expired, then told I would need to pay $230ish for a plumber call out fee. was dead. He attempted to contact EcoAlliance for a warranty approval. Best they could do was offer me to pay @$866 for a replacement unit and they would wave the call out fee. Plumber questioned why I should pay the call out fee in the first place. I reluctantly agreed believing I could do no more. I contacted the company by email (they won't take phone calls) and questioned why I should pay for a new unit when there is a fair and reasonable expectation of it lasting at least 10-15 years, considering the old one (which they pierced rendering it useless) lasted over 20 years. Plenty of too and frow. EcoAlliance are the kings of gaslighting and blaming customers. Apparently it is my fault the unit failed, even though it had not been examined to determine cause of the failure. Whenever I questioned what they were stating I was met with strong resistance and blaming me for being aggressive. I had contacted them at least 7 times (email and phone to the offshore service), each time it degenerated. I am engaging ACCC, the VEU and VCAT at a minimum to regain some satisfaction, regardless of how long this takes. I have no confidence in EcoAlliance nor their ability to operate a business with a strong customer focus lens and ethical practice. They are in this for the $ and will dump and run. Very disappointing and I will never enter into a government scheme again, knowing it brings out the vultures and opportunists. I should have researched them and read the overwhelming similar reviews in the first place, I would never have gone with them had I done so. Buyer beware. Buy once, cry once. Spend money on a reputable unit with a reputable provider. I am out of pocket significantly and have sourced a Rheem from Reece, as I should have in the first place. I would hate to be a pensioner or elderly and have to go through this, disgraceful.

Great heat pump hot water system – Got the 260ltr all in one great pump installed by ecovantage the other day. Whole process was reasonably quick was given a clear timeframe for installation 3-4weeks from my pre payment. Installers were great and prompt and arrived at the time frame they originally said they would. Recommend ecovantage to all. Show details ·  1

me back promptly and regularly updated me on when the plumber would fix things. A few weeks later all was sorted. The unit is a little loud but works well and is very economical. Should pay for itself in no time given the price of gas these days and it's programmed to only run during the day to use free rooftop solar power.

customer service that was extremely disappointing. I assumed because it had only just been installed, getting this looked at would be a simple process, i was wrong. First I called the installer that didn't answer, then I called the installers office (as they were contractors), they simply forwarded me to eco alliance. After multiple attempts I got through to eco alliance and the best they could do was provide a service technician the next day, this forced me to take another day off work. Next day and I start making calls again, all I want to confirm is that someone was coming and they would replace the tank but customer service could give me no confirmation at all. Every time i was told that someone would call me soon, I never received a single call from eco alliance, except for one that was a generic after installation curtesy who ironically knew nothing about the issue and couldn't do anything to help. Luckily the service technician called me, I describe the issue and immediately he knew a new tank was required and he then pushed to get a new tank installed later that day. In total I made 32 phone calls trying to resolve this issue that I believe should have been a single phone call.

I read the reviews saying the customer service was rubbish but I still rolled the dice. All in all the product appears ok and the warranty should keep me covered in the future but just be aware if you face any issues you might be without hot water for a good few days.

Unit looks neat, isn't to loud and the timers allow me to operate it when my solar is exporting. Roughly heats 20 degrees per hour and a half.

Nice heat pump – Have the Ecogenica 260fr unit from EcoAlliance installed 5 days ago. The installer team was right on time and it took them 1.5 hours to remove the old gas unit and install the new one. It took 3 hours to get hot water running. So far we never had any issues with the hot water running out (3 people in the 2 storey house). The display shows the set and present water temperature. Great service and product – So pleased with the system! I had the 290ltr fitted. Cost as quoted with grant. The fitters turned up on time. Completed the job very tidy in their work. Showed me how the system works. I know have piping hot water and the compressor is not on that often. Its also heating from my solar system so thats saving me money too! I just moved in the unit is horrendous. Seriously bad – DON'T do it! I recently bought a property where a Eco Alliance Dynaheat was installed. It's useless. It's like they door knocked the whole town. It's a crap product. The water pressure is appalling, the times it randomly starts up with the stupid fan system is insane. It's permanently hot to touch. It looks like 5 of us in this small town are having the same problems. To it off whoever installed these did an appalling job. Not even lined up straight. What really annoys me is that your company has taken advantage of the elderly population here. It's disgusting! Looks like the units may have be installed around 2021?? And yet looks appalling for it's age. As for trying to get help or support from you guys, it's non existent. What a government rort. It barely handles a shower and I am one person in the house. It certainly wouldn't be enough water pressure for a dishwasher.

Dont trust heat pump hot water systems from the Vic Government with their 2 year warranty and 12 months on parts – I got this water heater courtesy of the Victorian state government. This time I have been told there is a $200+ call out fee and because the parts in these things only have 1. year warranty I will have to pay for the parts to fix it again. Who sells hot water systems with a 2 years warranty and 12 months on parts. Absolute Joke. Update I have just been on the phone to their tech team and looked at some figures on the led screen and it tells him that there has been a gas leak and it cannot be repaired because they no longer stock them. He did give me a generous offer me a new heat pump system for $799 fully installed . I declined his offer and told him you won't catch me twice with the same trick. I suggest to people do not trust heat pump hot water systems they are plagued with problems. What annoys me because of what looked to be a good offer from the Victorian government I pulled out a perfectly working electric heater to put this piece of Chinese C### in its place. Thanks Victorian government for pushing faulty rubbish on to the Victorian public

suitable for our needs but the salesman assured us it would be big enough for a family of 4, but it is not big enough for 2 people! No larger tank was offered with the ESS scheme. Customer service is woeful, the countless times I have rung and left messages and no one returns my calls. I strongly advise not to be bothered with this company as they do not have any customer service. I have documented all my dealings with them, every conversation, dates, times, names, and my niece who works for the Dept of Fair Trading strongly advises to lodge a complaint with them as we were misinformed on the products suitability in the first place and this issue has been going on for too long now.

Customer service not a focus – Had system installed on Monday. Not done to code. Now have a leaking compressor due to inadequate refrigerant I suspect. Multiple calls not answered, no contact made to messages I have left. Eventually rectified with some reluctance. Would not recommend. Show details

Very unsatisfied customer – Eco alliance hot water heater… I have called customer service about 7 times to let them know my heater is running continously and is very loud at night so I would like to adjust the timer on at as my bills are very high and each time I am told someone will call me or they say they will escalate the problem to a technician and they will call me but no one does. Absolutely disgusted with this company.

It’s nearly May and they have asked for $600 as the government incentives have changed recently! ( that is not my fault) Also no idea when it will be installed! Disgusting behaviour from a company! Not only no hot water system supplied in 6months. I’ve had to pay plumbers to keep my current system going and numerous other deals and companies I could have gone with have come and gone! They accept no responsibility and I’m sure if it was installed and I had an issue it will be harder to get them out to fix it!

POOR SERVICE - DO NOT USE THEM – Had this unit installed 4 weeks ago at my 80 year old mother house. Unit is make loud noises, booked with there service department for someone to attend and we have been waiting for 2 weeks now. Every time we have called them, they tell us we will get back to you. Happy so far after a week – This replaced our gas hot water system and are happy after a week. The only issue is the overflow and pressure pipe which release water while heating. The area around the heat pump is always wet from the overflow and it is annoying as it was installed in our undercover entertainment area. Show details

Keep getting flogged off – This is my 3rd unit from them . First pump blew. Then no hot water . Then the tank rusted out then without hot water for a week or so . Countless problems after that . more like 70% more expensive. Get a call from call centre someone will call you after this call . A week went by heard nothing sent another email short as lm more than feed up . Another few days to reply obviously putting me in the to hard basket and pushing me aside now saying can't come out for a simple check or to reset it for at least a few weeks and that's from the call centre who you can't understand. I get it some problems may accure but lm not the only one as friends and friends of them are in the same basket. More than not happy this unit uses more power than anything in the entire house combined

come and fix problem but have not shown up now 4 times, this is after initially escalating another delayed scheduled appointment for 25/07 and bringing it forward to 19/07 after responding to a formal written complaint via email.

Come 19/07/23 - 2.30pm still no show.... enquiries via phone call, rescheduled to the 31/07 now....

Probably would have better luck if I re-entered their pipeline as a new lead for an upgrade as they Obviously don't care about customers once they have been paid.

I been stuck calling an overseas call centre, and all I get is we are sorry for inconvenience, then get a text message saying will be another 3 weeks until someone can come look at it. This is not acceptable and will reported to government ombudsman. This is costing me money, with a day off work, and electricity with units running. I will be looking at cost being reimbursed. Stay away from this dodgy company. Should have known like any other government scheme, it ruined by dodgy operators.
