Please don't fall into the same trap as us. trip and, by the way, our flight costs had increased by a total of $4800 despite initial assurances that the quote definitely covered our requested flights. We cancelled in January (9 months ahead of planned trip) and were informed that a $1000 penalty would apply, and that the balance of our deposit would take up to 12 weeks to refund. This despite assurances from the actual cruise line, the airlines and the accommodation venue that any cancellation that far ahead would not, from them at least, require a penalty. We regard ecruising's approach to be classic bait-and-switch misleading advertising and have lodged a submission with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission accordingly.
Kara has been our travel advisor since 2014. She is very helpful and advises on how we can get the most of the trips we want to take. If I could no stars I would! Do yourself a favour and do not use this agent,they are totally incompetent change and cancel flights and accommodation constantly even after you have confirmation and paid. $3,000 and all they could offer $500 compensation. They said they sent a revised itinerary that we didn’t receive and when asked to provide us with a copy of the email proof no reply. What a surprise! We when to the office of fair trading that’s a complete waste of time they have no powers to enforce anything just a waste of tax payers money. GIVE ECRUISING A MISS!!!

SriLanka Tour plus Noordam Cruise Package (27 Nov-23 Dec 24) – SRI LANKA 9 day tour was amazing. Bandara was very knowledgeable about just about anything he was asked, he obviously loved his country and job. He was a also a lecturer, spoke excellent English & very user friendly. ALWAYS made sure we were happy with our food & accommodation & assisted me at each stop off as did the driver. Never had to pay any extra fees, really was surprised! Driver was patient & so kind, we were all Australian residents over 60, never rushed. Included 2 Safari's & plenty of elephants.
Second part of the trip was HAL MOORDAM CRUISE, 3 star. All 7 of us joined the ship in Singapore, visiting various stops in Indonesia. All good, we'd booked our own rooms and tours before leaving Australia and being 3 star was clean & comfortable and generally quite good for a 3 star cruise.

additional bookings for our cruise including the "Have it all" package as well as an unlimited laundry package. We also upgraded our aeroplane seats to "extra legroom" for our comfort on the longer segments of our flight. The Sri Lankan experience was the most memorable. It was fast-paced with two 4.30 am starts which gave us the opportunity to see and appreciate beautiful sunrises in great locations. We had a slight problem to communicate with our taxi transfer service since all contact was via WhatsApp messaging.

will receive approx $208 of $3000. While I was told it was non refundable, due to our loyalty and many thousands of dollars spent and additional friends and family referred, that at least the $150 x 2 cancellation costs from Ecruising would have been waived. It appears loyalty and our platinum status mean nothing, and after looking at the same cruise cost with different companies, after being told that Ecruising have non refundable bookings to keep costs down, I am lost for words at how much we were being charged. Sadly this looks like the end of a long relationship as Ecruising is not the company it once was, we will not be booking with them again
Follow-up · There has been no response, despite them being given 14 days to respond before review was published. Still waiting for refund of $208. There are many alternatives out there who value loyalty and have free cancellation policies.

With professionalism, empathy, and determination, they advocated on my behalf and managed to recover most my money, despite the odds of getting anything back without travel insurance. I still can’t believe they were able to pull it off. Their compassion during a stressful time and commitment to helping their clients is something you don’t often find these days.

Do not use ecruising if you want a good holiday!! – 1. Obvious they are good with cruise bookings, however airline and accommodation booking leaves a lot to be desired. 2. travel agent. ANA were very helpful and apologetic but it was not their fault. 3. We booked a package that came with 1 night accommodation pre cruise. We added an additional 3 nights and opted for the booking to be made in the same hotel as the initial one night. Our itinerary showed that we were leaving from Yokohama … this was not the case (and apparently never was) it was leaving from Tokyo International Cruise Terminal. We were booked into a hotel in Tokyo when they thought we were leaving from Yokohama!! 2. Thirteen days prior to our departure our accommodation needed to be changed in both Tokyo and Hong Kong. Apparently due to unforeseen circumstances!! No other explanation was given. We had been quoted and paid for a hotel in Tokyo (which would have been fine as it turns out) but then they booked us into a hotel in Yokohama when our cruise was leaving from Tokyo!! Looking at what we were booked into in Tokyo we definitely would have paid considerably less in the substituted hotel with no compensation from ecruising. Not to mention all the additional train travel that we had to do to cover all the different things we had organised when we were staying at the initial Tokyo Hotel. 4. Cruise went off without a hitch (obviously their specialty). 5. Post cruise we asked them to book us 3 nights in Hong Kong before flying home. The Hong Kong Hotel we were initially booked into and paid for was close to Central Station. The substituted hotel was not in a tourist area at all and would have been considerably cheaper as it was not in a nice area. Again no offer of compensation for the price difference and a lot of additional train travel to do our planned activities while we were there. 6. The other thing I would point out is they do not answer emails once you have paid for your trip. Having paid our final payments in June we received an email stating our accommodation vouchers and flight etickets were attached. The only thing attached was the flight etickets and no accommodation vouchers. I sent an email querying the fact that no accommodation vouchers were attached - I am still waiting for a reply!!! This leads me to believe that no accommodation had been booked at that time (even though we were charged for it) and when it came time for them to confirm and pay the relevant hotel bookings they did not have the 5 rooms required and therefore had to change our hotels!!
I will never use ecruising again to make any bookings on my behalf but will instead book directly with airlines and hotels of my choice and also book directly with the relevant cruise lines. Be warned as I would hate for you to have the same disappointments that we have encountered

The crew were excellent as usual and very accommodating. The food was pretty good.
The "Magic Carpet" really make loading and unloading tenders much more efficient, they can load at least two of their own or accommodate third party tenders as well.
The change that I have noticed on our last couple of Celebrity cruises are the numbers of American and British passengers, I think collectively they may have out numbered Australians. The Edge had New Zealand cruises before and after our cruise and many of these people had gone back to back with either. The cruse after ours finished in Auckland so many were flying home from there. Most people we spoke to had budgeted to be travelling for at least a month some had flown to Perth and caught the Indian Pacific to Sydney.
We were a bit slow booking tours but we did one at Cairns to Kuranda which wasn't exciting They have markets there on Sunday and Wednesday this was not one of those days. We spoke to some English people who booked a tour to Tambourine Mountain and the Gold Coast, they were disappointed having spent most of the day on the bus and stuck in traffic. They complained at the tour desk and were told that all the boxed for the trip had been ticked, they were not happy.
Anyway we were quite satisfied with our cruise and would recommend Celebrity wholeheartedly.

Poor communication – Our original agent left and apart from the new agent introducing herself, we never once had a reply from her and we sent numerous emails chasing up documents. I always had to call the hotline to get the information we needed. Wouldn't be using this service again.

Go, the E-cruising agent became arrogant and quite rude in her attitude. I am disappointed with their attitude to well informed purchasers. Getting the best deal is what most of us require. This company seem to only sell what makes them the most money and care little about offering the best service and pricing.

partially satisfied – Better communication, plus website was down for the whole time since i booked so very unprofessional. didn't receive baggage labels for cruise or flight tickets until i followed up with it 7 days before cruise to discover that ecriusing had them for nearly a month and had not forwarded them on to me

Tassie Cruise – Booking and advice handled excellently as usual by Kara. Thank you. Only downside was that the last two cruises in November and January both had gastro outbreaks where people don't, or just cant be bothered to adhere to safety protocols to limit the spread throughout the ship. Fabulous Christmas and New Year’s cruise with Azamara – We loved our Christmas and New Year holiday with Azamara. Ecruising arranged our flight to Perth and hotel and belatedly added a transfer service (for a fee). Azamara Pursuit was fabulous and New Year on Sydney harbour was only 1 of several highlights, including an exclusive James Morrison performance in Adelaide on our AzAmazing evening. Azamara Cruises - now a favourite – A fabulous cruise on Azamara Pursuit from Fremantle to Melbourne, with New Years Eve in Sydney Harbour. There were many bonuses and events, including Christmas at sea, and a James Morrison concert in Adelaide Town Hall. Our agent Kara Lane was efficient and friendly with the booking, very happy to recommend.
