 AI reviews summary

Pros
Easy booking process: A subset of reviews notes that the initial online booking platform is straightforward and simple to use.
Cons
Subscription issues: Many users report being automatically enrolled in ongoing Prime memberships during checkout, often without realizing it, and face ongoing difficulties cancelling these recurring charges.
Customer support: Numerous reviews indicate that customer service is unresponsive, difficult to reach by phone, or unhelpful when attempting to resolve issues.
Refund difficulties: A subset of reviews highlights challenges and significant delays in receiving refunds for cancelled flights or services.
Hidden fees and unexpected costs: Multiple reviewers mention encountering unexpected charges, currency conversion differences, or price increases during the booking process.
Verdict

Overall sentiment toward eDreams is overwhelmingly negative, with the vast majority of reviewers expressing frustration over unexpected subscription charges and difficult cancellation processes. While a small number of users found the initial booking interface simple, many cite poor customer support and severe challenges obtaining refunds for cancelled travel. Consumers are strongly advised to carefully review terms during checkout and consider booking directly with providers to avoid these reported issues.

My Bali escape ended in a complete travel nightmare. For the first time in my life, I booked flights through a third-party provider, eDreams, and the problems began before I had even left Australia. I paid eDreams for checked luggage, but when I arrived at Sydney Airport, the airline had no record of it. I had to pay hundreds of dollars again just… Read more

to take my bag with me.

The return journey was even worse. Before leaving Australia, I paid around $400 to move my return flight back by one week. After arriving in Bali, I discovered that the change had never been completed. I spent four days calling eDreams, and they repeatedly assured me that I had a valid booking. They eventually sent me a confirmation designed to look as though it had come from the airline, but when I arrived at Bali Airport, the airline told me the devastating truth: I had no reservation, no valid ticket and no seat on the flight. The confirmation was fake.

I was refused boarding and left stranded at Bali Airport in the middle of the night, acutely unwell after needing medication and an IV drip. Even after the eDreams representative spoke directly with the airline staff and was told that no ticket existed, eDreams refused to arrange another flight. They told me to contact the airline and sort it out myself. They offered no practical assistance and refused to provide an immediate refund.

With no way home and no help from the company that had taken my money, I was forced to purchase a last-minute replacement flight for around $1,200. What should have been a simple holiday became days of phone calls, stress and thousands of dollars in unexpected costs. I had never booked a flight through a third-party provider before, and after my experience with eDreams, I will never do it again.

The staff were rude, unprofessional, unhelpful and blatantly lying. They also hung up on me several times.

THE WORST!!! I paid a flex ticket and was impossible to use, the app didnt alowed me, I called several times, sent emails and was impossible. The app tell me I can change my flight, the terms and conditions tell… Read more

me too but when I tried to change it said that was an error, that something went wrong and call center just said that doesnt apply and you have to pay a penalty and a new flight for 1116 Euros in my case. And for the same exact flight on google flights or My trip or other agencies is 352 Euros. On skyscanner start in 320 Euros. As you can see in the pics, in the email they said the change gonna cost me 1116 Euros and a new flight is more than 3 times less. I called several times to Copa Airlines too because edreams wasnt help me and they showed me that the ticket they bought from them was Economy Class, and told me that with that ticket you cannot make any change with out pay 200 dollars penalty and other charges, Copa Airlines told me that never was a flexiblle ticket and now I know why they dont help you or answer and talk to an supervisor is mission impossible, is because they dont pay a flexible ticket but charge you for that as you can see in all of my pictures and proofs. This agency is a scam. They just want your suscription and they steal from you.

May 2026: Booked a flight through eDreams and their Prime nonsense is enabled by default. If you're not careful or in a rush because the timer's running out, it's easy to click right past this because they make it look like you have to. That's what happened to me so I went back and read it, '15 day free trial cancel any time'. So I figured it… Read more

wasn't worth the headache of clicking back and risk losing my booking opportunity again (price had already gone up). I was gravely mistaken.

I did google search and found tons of nightmare complaints. Immediately checked account online via desktop... no option to cancel subscription. You can't delete your payment method either. I tried and it flatly tells you that you can't if you have an active Prime membership.

So I called the support number. I gave them a chance. I politely asked to cancel Prime as I don't want an ongoing subscription. She went into a spiel about how I got a discount on flight and hotel because I knowingly signed up for Prime--"terms and conditions" she called it. I said, OK but it's a free trial right? Your website says I can cancel during the trial so I want to cancel. She began the same spiel again so I stopped her.

Me: Hey I just want to cancel

Agent: I must read you the terms and conditions

Me: You already did.

Agent: I'm going to read them again

Me: Ok

After her spiel silence followed.

Agent: So? Are you there?

Me: Huh? Yes I'm still here

Agent: I need an answer from you

Me: Answer to what? You didn't ask a question. I just want to cancel.

Agent: Well you signed up and it was very clear

Me: Yes, it's very clear on your webbsite that I can cancel within the 15 day free-trial. That's what a free-trial means.

It went on like this with no progress and now we were yelling at each other so I asked for a supervisor. Of course she claimed there was none available. I pressed on, I wasn't letting this go. She finally got exasperated and asked me to hold. A min or two later she comes back and says the Prime plan has been cancelled, you'll get an e-mail confirmation and if you ever sign up again you'll be charged.

Now, the e-mail confirmation did arrive and it looks like the subscription was indeed cancelled. So I went to delete my payment method. A confirmation dialog now appears asking if I want to remove it. I click Yes. Nothing happens. Card is still there even after refreshing the page. Looks like I have to call in again...

As I'm sure you all know by now, do NOT use this company. You can fly for the same price through a different site/agent. Their Prime "discount" is a scam which in fact does not save you any money; quite the opposite, it is designed to give the illusion of a discount (aformentioned nonsense fee) as well as hook you into ongoing subscription payments. You will have a fight on your hands to get out of it but at least it is possible. If you don't believe me just to a quick google search to verify what I'm saying.

Scam scam sacmmmmmm I had a very disappointing experience with eDreams. I booked a flight from Canberra to Melbourne through eDreams, but the boarding pass they sent me was invalid. was forced to book another last-minute flight at my own expense in order to travel to Melbourne. It caused a lot of stress, inconvenience, and extra cost.

We contacted Jetstar Airways directly, and they confirmed that the refund had already been processed back to eDreams and that it would normally take around 7 days. However, it has now been almost 2 months and I still have not received my refund.

I have sent multiple emails to eDreams, but they rarely respond and have not properly resolved the issue. Customer service has been extremely disappointing.

I would not recommend booking through eDreams based on my experience.

Every single time I pick a flight on their page, they change the price to be several thousand dollars higher! On different days, different flights! I’m surprised it’s legal. It’ll say, “Oops, the airline changed the price.” But when you look for the flight again, they offer it cheaper once again and change it when you go to book it. Show details

Very poor services. I had booked a ticket once and somehow I had subscribed to it without knowing, but surprising thing was never received any email or any other correspondence regarding the subscription. still pay till Jan 2027. So I had to call the customer service, the guy who answered was sitting in Delhi, India. He finally managed to get the permission to cancel it so that I have no charges but explaining to him was a painful process. Even after I told him repeatedly that the subscription happened without my knowledge, and I have not and will not use the services anytime soon as I don’t have plans of travelling in the near future. He kept telling me that I had the chance to cancel before the trail period. If I didn’t know that I have subscribed then how should I know when the trail ended. I was expecting some refund but nope.

e-Dreams website. It’s a total scam. Don’t even think about using your credit card there – they slap fake discounts everywhere and then charge you way more than you signed up for. The site’s as secure as a sieve, so your info’s up for grabs. Seriously, steer well clear unless you wanna get ripped off and lose your hard-earned cash. Misleading practices + broken refund promise I had an extremely frustrating experience with eDreams, and I would strongly advise others to be very careful. keeping the subscription active until after my trip to “benefit from the perks.” This is clearly designed to make users forget to cancel — a very questionable practice.

After being charged, I immediately contacted support (March 16) explaining the situation. To their credit, they replied the same day confirming that a full refund (€99.99) had been initiated and would be processed within 72 hours.

However, that’s where the good part ends.

The 72 hours passed — no refund.

Since then: • March 22 — I asked for an update → ignored • March 23 — Follow-up → ignored • March 24 — Contacted again via their web portal → ignored • March 25 — Still no reply, no refund, no explanation

So not only do they use misleading tactics to push subscriptions, but they also: • Make promises about refunds that are not respected • Completely ignore customers once the issue is “closed” on their side • Provide zero transparency or accountability

At this point, it feels like they just say “refund initiated” to get rid of complaints, without actually following through.

This is unacceptable, especially for a company operating in the EU, where consumer protection laws clearly require transparency and fair practices.

Conclusion: Misleading subscription flow + false refund promises + nonexistent customer support = absolutely not trustworthy.

Avoid at all costs!! if you don’t want to waste your money and time. Feels like an absolute scam.

Unauthorized eDreams Prime charge of $89.99 after a 2023 booking I booked a flight with eDreams in June 2023 (Cairo → Sharm el-Sheikh) and never knowingly subscribed to any paid “Prime” membership. When you book tickets, they hiddenly subscribe you for a $100 a year prime subscription, which you will find out in your bank statements later. Sure, there was a small check box ticked by default, which is easy to miss, but this is dodgy behavior. And if you check reddit, thousands of people get subscribed like this. Show details

support, I received the same generic responses for days, with promises that my case had been "escalated" and that I would receive an update within 24–48 hours. No real solution was provided.

I was due to fly while stranded overseas with very limited funds, yet eDreams failed to resolve the issue in time. The lack of communication and accountability caused unnecessary stress and put me at risk of being unable to get home.

I cannot recommend eDreams based on this experience. If something goes wrong with your booking, don't expect a prompt or effective resolution.

Follow-up  · The price difference was quite huge compared to some of the other flights for the same destination at the time. I eventually had to borrow money from family to get back home. Yes, I rebooked the flight myself using another platform. The issue is still not resolved, and my bank has escalated the matter to Visa.

agreed to.

When I investigated, I was told these charges related to an apparent monthly subscription. I do not recall knowingly agreeing to this subscription, nor was it something I understood I was signing up for when purchasing my flight.

I contacted eDreams by phone to try to resolve the issue and request a refund. Unfortunately, I found the customer service experience extremely frustrating. Despite explaining that I had not knowingly authorised the subscription, they were unwilling to refund the charges.

I believe other customers should be very careful when booking through eDreams and should carefully review the terms, subscription options and subsequent credit-card statements. In my experience, the way these additional charges were presented was not sufficiently clear, and the refusal to resolve the issue left me feeling that I had been misled.

I would strongly recommend checking your credit-card statements after using eDreams and making sure you have not inadvertently been enrolled in an ongoing subscription.

This has significantly reduced my trust in the company and its business practices. I will be taking the matter further with my credit-card provider and the relevant consumer-protection authorities if necessary.
