Electrolux A Modo Mio

Great little machine – I'm not sure how many people had issues with their machines, or just the few on here. I've had mine for 3 years and it's still going strong. The machine and the pods are more than cheaper versions, but you can taste why. I'm a bit of a coffee snob, and no other pod machine I've tried has come close to this one.  Show details

Excellent but not ecological – I really enjoy making coffee with my Electrolux Lavazza Modo Mio. I can memorize the amount of coffee (short and long black) and make my plant based milk frothy. It is a bit noisy but I am accustomed now and I highly recommend it. The down side is the capsule. I after I make about 10 coffees I open them one by one to be able to recycle. perfect while it lasted – It made the best home coffee you could probably get from an automated machine. It used to leak a little into the tray but it wasnt major. Mine worked for almost 3 years before it stopped working completely .I would have awarded 5 stars if it was still working today because it was that good.  Show details

Lack of coffee coming through into mug, more water going into drip tray – I love the Lavazza coffee, so this was reason to purchase A Modo Mio. all worked well , since purchased 2013. I have cleaned and kept cleaned, but now can not get a proper cup of coffee. Show details

Coffee Machine doesn't even make coffee!! – I bought this machine a few years ago maybe 2014? coffee spout, it was very slow at first then went to a slow drip and now nothing at all.

I've tried a full descale, brewed with no pods and still nothing. Frother works fine, it even sounds like it's making coffee but nothing comes out. It's a shame because I bought it for over $350 at myer barely used it and now it doesn't even work!!

No wonder its been discontinued every one has seem to had issues with it!

Worn out too soon – Was a great machine for three years but today won't heat up. I use it for one coffee a day some times more for visitors.. I expect my appliances to last longer or is this just another 'thing' in the throw away society. I might as well just buy a cheapy from Coles or woolies.  Show details

stopped making Lavazza Machines about 5yrs ago. She doesn’t know who has taken over the manufacturing of the Lavazza Machines. (it would be somewhere on the machine. The Machines (on Lavazza au website) are very cheap. Easier & much cheaper to buy a new one…than try & find someone to repair a machine. Lavazza au Online only sell their Coffee & their Machines.They do have some very good Specials on occasion with their Machines. I have been using Lavazza Coffee Machines for about 30 years - they now cost about a quarter of what they did all those years ago.

Great coffee machine – So far i have found this machine to be a great machine, my only small complaint is that i like my coffee hot and this machine only heats to about 65 degrees which i know is the recommended temp cant figure out how to increase this to say 75 however the coffee is great a little more than similar nespresso but nicer coffee the way the milk frother… Read more

is made is excellent ie no milk actually in the machine, so easy to clean. I use a coffee mug and the ratio of milk to coffee is just right but also im not a coffee snob i bought this as a demo for $99 and i just cannot see me buying a $500 machine when this is perfect and really what is the difference between a pod and ground coffee i believe the sealed pod maybe a lot fresher thanks lavazza and electrolux for a great machine.

So much money....so little value – Lovely Lavazza coffee, easy to use and clean but such POOR quality components apparently. paid about $90 to fix what I thought then was a pump. This week, you guessed it, 2 weeks out of warranty of the replaced part, it’s done exactly the same thing again! No way am I spending any more on this product. I am so disappointed. I have had 2 Electrolux vacuum cleaners, an oven and the coffee machine and every one has had an issue just out of warranty. I’m worried too as I recommended 2 of these items to someone else and she’s holding her breath!!

Great to begin with but died far too young – Like so many reviews for this unit it was great while it lasted, which wasn't long enough. It received minimal use (i.e. about 4 coffees per week) and yet started flooding excessively at the 2.5 year mark. No response received from my email to Electrolux customer 'service' for advice and so the unit went out with the hard rubbish collection. Never again Electrolux.  Show details

$100to check it out gave up will buy AILDI coffee machine and start again cheap machine $40 pod much cheap and buy them any where .

NIce coffee, poor life span – Purchased 4 years ago, have used a max of 30 times as I myself don't drink coffee. only used when I had visitors. I had it sit in the cupboard for 6 months. I went out and spent $50 on pods for it, tried to use it and the pump turns on but no water comes out at all. very disappointing. the machine has had an easy life with rare usage.  Show details

Glad they are discontinued – The machine makes a good coffee but has been frought with manufacturing issues. Such as, not lasting over 3 years, excess water reservoir too small, the pump does not turn off if there's no water running through it. The pods are often difficult to purchase expensive. pod choices. Now my machine doesn't work and the serviceman tells me he doesn't know what caused it without me bringing it in and could be up to $300 to repair. What a joke. I've had breville and sunbeam coffee makers and both lasted years and I ended up giving them away when I upgraded.

Rubbish! – Bought this rubbish from Myer Perth 2015 and endless functionality problems since; no water running through to pod so no coffee and continually had water leakage onto bench top. allow for us a decent troubleshooting/repair manual to have a go at it....not pay more than it's worth to have it sent away for repair, and then no manual available on line post sale? No more Electrolux for me and my wife! That's a given!

It was then we decided to go back to the Lavazza machine however, the water is now struggling to get through the machine. Literally, a few drops of coffee come through the other end.

I emailed Lavazza asking if they know of the problem and if so if they can send me some tips on how to fix it or any type of assistance. They replied instantly and stated i need to email Electrolux for help and provided their details.

I emailed Electrolux and but received no reply. After a week Ii emailed again asking for any type of assistance, even a reply. Still nothing. So i emailed Lavazza again who replied instantly (great customer service there guys, kudos). Lavazz then forwarded my email to Electrolux asking them to assist me... still nothing of Electrolux.

I've given up so we've decided this coffee machine is now nothing more than an expensive paperweight and thus we have bought a Caffitaly machine instead.

I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a coffee machine. Our Aldi machine outlasted this one by a large margin, which was half the price. Go figure.

Not worth the money – Recently Used it everyday for 4 months , bought it a year and a half ago. Used it periodically at first then not at all for months as I wasn't drinking coffee. It leaked the whole time, had the frothing wand replaced , over heated and now it's just stopped. I've got 3 hundred dollars worth of pods I can't use .  Show details

Water leaking – This machine is leaking water. After two cups my tray is full. Can someone tell me if this can be fixed or do I have to throw it out. Is there some parts I can get to do myself. I would not recommend this as this should not be happenig.  Show details

Won't poke holes in pods – My machine has suddenly stopped poking holes in the pods.. I need to know why..I called technical support and of course i have to pat to fix it.. it just shouldn't happen...I am going to throw it away new again. Died after 3 years – Machine wouldn't switch on today. Completely dead all of a sudden. Pretty crappy considering the original price compared with some other cheaper brands. I expected better longevity. It didn't get used every day and has never been moved from its spot so there's no chance of wear and tear. Really disappointed.  Show details

swimming pool on benchtop! – Both my machine and my parents machine started leaking water all over the bench when out of warranty. More water on the bench than on the cup. very least repaired. I dont have a receipt as it was a gift and my kids kept the receipt for some time but disgarded it a few months ago.

Disappointed from day 1 – Purchased from Harvey Norman, while I was going to buy a Nespresso, the rep was in giving out mio coffee tasters and talked me into buying this, I wish I hadn't!! I waited 3 months for repairs – It is fair to say now that most of these models are discontinued that Lavazza are no longer using Electrolux. Mine went in for repairs and never came back. people here will agree. Given that the pods aren't cheap, you could be wasting money. I probably used it too much and it was not designed for it. I also wrote to Lavazza with copies of repair receipts and I've never heard back. At least it had a good warranty length of time.

I am disappointed – I really appreciate the coffee taste but it leaking all over my kitchen and a lot i would understand a little but not this much this electrolux mechean was is storage for the last 12 months it was not used much before it is easy to use and clean and I do like the coffee but this has made me want to change brands

I thought the brand was a quality one and I would get a quality unit but I am very disapointed in the product. Would never buy Electrolux again, not the brand i thought it was.

Love the machine, can't believe it's died on me – I love this machine, was given it as a mothers day gift 2 years ago. Out of the blue it has started leaking water all over bench top. It doesn't get moved so no it wasn't dropped or anything. On inspection, can't seem to locate any cracked or hole etc. It's frustrating I have to go back to aldi coffee as I don't have 500 for a new machine. I have model ELM5400MR.

coffee, and it gave up working. It cannot be replaced as discontinued. It is still in manufactures warranty, so to get new one I have to pay difference between my model and current. If it was within my Product Care Cover that I paid extra for I would get New for Old. Will change my brand of machine.

Disappointment – I have purchased two of these coffee makers over the past 3 years. Make a great coffee but they leak extremely badly after a while. The first machine we had fixed under warranty and when it leaked again we bought a new one. This one lasted 1 yr. Enough is enough. Bought a more expensive coffee machine but not electrolux!

tasty coffee but seems to stop shott – Coffee tastes great as I dont use dairy trying to find milk option to taste. Thought machine was not working properly as small amount of coffee produced have to repress button to go again. This happens with both cappuccino and latte is this a normal amount. Anyone have ideas for alternate milks have tried soy almond and almond and coconut.

Quality doesn't matter – Happy with all the above but the machine make more water than coffee which is a waste of my pods. On reading more review I have come to the conclusion that the machines are faulty and Electrolux don"t want to help. As I said my money was good but the service and the machines are not.Saddens me that such a large company won't fix this problem.
