Lack of coffee coming through into mug, more water going into drip tray – I love the Lavazza coffee, so this was reason to purchase A Modo Mio. all worked well , since purchased 2013. I have cleaned and kept cleaned, but now can not get a proper cup of coffee. Show details
Coffee Machine doesn't even make coffee!! – I bought this machine a few years ago maybe 2014? I used it possibly 2 dzn times and all worked well then we moved home and had it packed away for a few years until recently I brought it back out. I'vd since been able to make one coffee (small espresso button) and now it completely doesn't brew any coffee at all!! Not even water comes out of the… Read more
coffee spout, it was very slow at first then went to a slow drip and now nothing at all.
I've tried a full descale, brewed with no pods and still nothing. Frother works fine, it even sounds like it's making coffee but nothing comes out. It's a shame because I bought it for over $350 at myer barely used it and now it doesn't even work!!
No wonder its been discontinued every one has seem to had issues with it!
Not worth the money – Recently Used it everyday for 4 months , bought it a year and a half ago. Used it periodically at first then not at all for months as I wasn't drinking coffee. It leaked the whole time, had the frothing wand replaced , over heated and now it's just stopped. I've got 3 hundred dollars worth of pods I can't use . Show details
Water leaking – This machine is leaking water. After two cups my tray is full. Can someone tell me if this can be fixed or do I have to throw it out. Is there some parts I can get to do myself. I would not recommend this as this should not be happenig. Show details

Won't poke holes in pods – My machine has suddenly stopped poking holes in the pods.. I need to know why..I called technical support and of course i have to pat to fix it.. it just shouldn't happen...I am going to throw it away new again. Unless i can get some help i would never buy it again. Show details

Disappointed from day 1 – Purchased from Harvey Norman, while I was going to buy a Nespresso, the rep was in giving out mio coffee tasters and talked me into buying this, I wish I hadn't!! The bonus milk frothed has never worked and the coffee machine just didn't seem to ever make the coffee hot enough, plus it is noisy and leaks what else can I say... I highly doubt I'd buy anything Electrolux again. Show details

I waited 3 months for repairs – It is fair to say now that most of these models are discontinued that Lavazza are no longer using Electrolux. Mine went in for repairs and never came back. After countless calls eventually I was given a brand new replacement. By then the damage had been done, understandably! While the machine works it's awesome, but it is a dodgy design as most… Read more
people here will agree. Given that the pods aren't cheap, you could be wasting money. I probably used it too much and it was not designed for it. I also wrote to Lavazza with copies of repair receipts and I've never heard back. At least it had a good warranty length of time.
Disappointing Service – I loved the taste of the coffee. Machine leaked after 20 months, used very little I am only coffee drinker in the house. Service dept. at Electrolux explained that I had take or courier my machine to repair centre. 1 hour there, and 1 hour back. My machine was away sick for 12 days. I collected it making another arduous journey I then made 2 cups… Read more
coffee, and it gave up working. It cannot be replaced as discontinued. It is still in manufactures warranty, so to get new one I have to pay difference between my model and current. If it was within my Product Care Cover that I paid extra for I would get New for Old. Will change my brand of machine.

Beautiful looking machine but leaks terribly and small amount of coffee produced – Beautiful looking machine but yes it leaks a lot of water. Doesn't filter properly and a lot of water is wasted and your little expresso cup sits there sadly with the tiniest amount of coffee in it. This machine cost me a fortune - beautiful coffee but machine is a let down. Shame cause it was the best looking machine on the market at the time.

Another dismal failure – This machine was given to us as a combined gift from our coffee-loving family the Christmas before last, along with two boxes of coffee capsules and a stainless steel wire capsule holder. The machine seemed to work reasonably well the first time it was used for the family, although it was very noisy. It was quite a few months before it was used… Read more
again and I noticed that it was taking longer to fill a cup with coffee and the machine seemed to be making more noise than before. Altogether I have used the machine on no more than five occasions and still have some un-used coffee capsules! When I tried to use it a few months ago, it leaked and virtually no coffee came out of the spout. I gave it another try today as the family is coming over for Christmas, but it has totally died. I am very disappointed with the life-span of this machine and would definitely think twice before buying an Electrolux product.

Not happy! – The machine lasted about 10 months before I got completely fed up and purchased a different brand. The machine leaked, was noisy, vibrated and the coffee came out in inconsistent spurts. The electrolux frother was pretty terrible too- it only works about 20% of the time. I've since purchased Nespresso and have never looked back!!
What a dud – This seems to be a common problem as my machine also leaks from the bottom - Only three months old! Very disappointed

Lavazza Amodo Mio coffee machine – Got this coffee machine for my wife for Christmas. It functioned properly for just one day and I now have to take it back to Myers. Very disappointing. The 3/4 cup button puts out a dribble for only 1/4 cup. Water leaks out the bottom into the tray as well.

Great coffee, cheap and cheerful machine that breaks down way too often – We chose this machine because we really like the Lavazza Amodo Mio coffee pods and wanted to keep drinking it. Unfortunately Lavazzaa didn't continue their partnership with Saeco to continue the manufacturing machines. Enter Electrolux. We were excited about this newer and better machine as you don't have to cycle the air bubbles out at the… Read more
end of a brewing session and the all new capsule piercing system. 4 months after we purchased the machine the brewing/boiler unit died. We had to wait 2 months to get a $200 machine repaired as Electrolux would not replace the unit. After 1 month the unit was filling up the drip tray and almost emptying the entire water tank after only brewing 2 coffees. Took the machine back to the repairer and was told again that the unit was going to be repaired. After a lengthy phone call with Electrolux it was eventually decided that the machine would be replaced. As luck would have it the new machine is starting to leak again. We have given up as the machine is out of warranty and decided to purchase another Saeco machine.
It's a real shame as the Lavazza Amodo Mio coffee pods are really great. I think that profit margins were one of the reasons behind the change of machine manufacturer as the quality of these new Electrolux machines does not come close to the previous Saeco machines. If you want a machine that can handle making 2 cups of coffee per day and you have a tight budget then this machine is what you are looking for. If your caffeine demands are greater then spend a bit more on a better quality machine.
Easy "self barista" machine – I found the machine easy to use compared to my years old manual Breville unit - just run a water only cycle through it before you try your first cup. The milk temperature was a spot on 60 degrees Celsius as long as you select the correct milk level button (first milk level "cappuccino", 2nd higher level "latte"). This is important as the milk… Read more
frother / wisker motor stays on longer for the bigger latte milk level size. In my first effort, I filled the milk to the higher (latte mark) but I incorrectly hit the "cappuccino" (smaller milk volume) milk steamer button. This resulted in the steamer shutting down in a shorter reprogrammed time, causing the milk not being warm enough ..... but this was my fault for not selecting the correct "latte button" for steaming the milk. (I should of read the instructions first!)
I'd say its about 80% as good as a decent Caffè shop prepared Lavazza espresso ..... their crema is much thicker - but they use an $8,000 plus machine with much higher pump pressures ..... and freshly ground beans!
You do only get what you pay for, in the end, and this unit does give good results for your money spent.
It also makes the "self barista" process "nearly fool proof" :)
PS: The machine stopped working two weeks ago :( (some 14 months after receipt as gift) - looking to claim under warranty as additional 12 months was purchased by son in 12/14..... see what happens!
Disappointed – Got this machine as my birthday present. Broken not much after purchasing, I haven't used much at all. The problem was coffee didn't come out but leaked from the bottom of the machine. Repaired under warranty but got broken again, same problem. Also the pressure from steam nozzle is so weak, very hard to make proper milk.

Disappointed – I bought this for my husband for his birthday. The coffee tasted good and I really liked the convenience of pods as opposed to ground coffee. There is also a great range of pods to suit different tastes. However, the machine did not have different settings for mugs/large cups and we had to boil the kettle every time to top up with boiling water.… Read more
The water did not heat to a high enough temp either for our liking. Within 1 week the water tank started to leak. Convenience of pods and lack of mess Leaking water tank after 2 weeks. Inadequate settings for different cup size

Great coffee but dissappointing machine – Like others initially I was delighted by the machine but over the 12 months we have had it, it puts less and less coffee in the cup and bucket loads of water in the tray underneath. Interestingly had same issue with a different branded machine that used the Lavazza pods. After 1 flood too many we are in the process of getting the machine to a repairer. The coffee and easy to use Poor longevity of the machine

Great product – We have had a nespresso for many years and I thought i would give this machine a chance. It brews lovely coffee, you can purchase the Lavazza pods almost anywhere without spending a fortune. It works a treat, quiet and consistent every cup, I am pleasantly surprised on its performance and styling. Styling and features
We cannot fault this Coffee Maker. Perfect little machine for hubby & I – This machine was bought to replace a rather expensive ground coffee/automatic cappuccino version. Our previous one was sent back to the supplier & had the solenoid replaced only to have the same problems with it again AFTER warranty had expired. We decided on a smaller machine so we could also take it away camping with us & have found that every… Read more
cup has been excellent. Even though the capsules work out more expensive than coffee beans, we can get two cups from one capsule as we don't particularly like strong coffee.
After such a big machine previously, this one is a breeze to clean - a simple rinse and your good to go. Just make sure you don't overfill the milk frother as this can become messy - just ask my hubby :) Initial cost was excellent value & portability factor is a bonus. As previously mentioned, a water level indicator would be helpful.
Coffee pods – The coffee machine is great easy to operate. Unfortunately you can only buy the selected pods for it, there are no generic brands so you have to pay the expensive price of around 12.00, gets very expensive when you can buy heaps of other generic pods at half the price, won't be long before it goes in the pantry, too expensive to keep buying pods,… Read more
would be good if you were given an option of pods Easy and quick Coffee pods too expensive, other coffee machines have variety of pods at cheaper prices
Compact and fast – Great little machine, replacing a much older, ground coffee machine. Coffee just as good, if a little more expensive using capsules. The speed to get the first cup from cold start is very good. When making two caps. or flat whites, the milk frother takes about 90 seconds. (The slowest part of the operation.) When using the two-button choice for… Read more
coffee level, it fills the cup to the right level and stops. With the milk added, the temperature is just right.
The separate milk frother works very well and is automatic on timimg.
The only little nuisance, is the water tank which is at the back, so I can't easily see the water level. Compact. Fast operation for one cup from cold. Water tank at the back. Needs a "low on water" indicator.

Great coffee, poor machine, terrible service – Have had the machine for over a year. Coffee is great, better than nespresso in my opinion but the machine is poor. The drip tray fills after three coffees and now I barely get any coffee in my cup. My second milk frother died 6 months ago. I contacted the service agent Electrolux recommended but they refuse to do any warranty jobs as the say they… Read more
haven't been paid for months. Great tasting coffee Poor machine quality, faulty milk frothers, poor service.
That is the same as i have i have had it replaced before for the same thing now it is doing it again after 12 weeks not good.
Electrolux ELM5250S a good buy! – Having only ever owned semi-automatic coffee machines, buying a pod machine was a huge leap for us. Thankfully, the experience has not been too painful. The trial pack of pods was a useful introduction to the Lavazza pod range & after a week of experimenting/ programing the water levels, we are really pleased with it. I am glad we bought the… Read more
premium model as it has two preset buttons for the water level (I think the basic model only has 1 preset button). The coffee machine looks good, is quiet, very compact & user friendly. As mentioned in other reviews, the milk frother is small but we too use the streamer on the machine (or remove the little streamer ring from the frother) when making coffee for more than 2 people. We were amused at the thin information booklet for the coffee machine compared with the epic novel sized instruction booklet that accompanied the Milk frother. quiet, efficient, looks great, pods available from Myer Milk Frother small
No need to go to the coffee shop! – First of all, let m estart by saying that I LERV coffee! And not any old coffee. I will drive 30km for a decent cup of coffee if I have to. But now, since i bought my Electrolux Lavazza a Modo Mio machine,I can get a cup of coffee BETTER than the cafe makes. Great design. So easy to operate. easy to clean. And the best part is that the coffee it… Read more

fantastic – I've got my lavazza a modo mio machine for my birthday, and I got to admit that I'm quiet surprise by it and how this machine can make a coffee like in a caffee, i've tried other brands, but lavazza was the only one that delivered such a good coffee with a such small machine, either more it seems that lavazza is the only brand on the market using… Read more
enough coffee in their capsules (7.5gr)
With this machines, not also you can make lattes, cappuccinos etc. etc. just in 90sec using the milk frother, but you can also make fantastic and perfect frophed milk by using the manual steamer.
About their capsules, they're easy to be found on the market and cost wise they aren't as expensive as other brands.
So if you're thinking on buy a coffee machine, go for the lavazzas and you wont be disappointed Reliable, inexepensive, fantastic coffee So far i have no complains
Coffee Pods all taste the same – Beautiful little machine, in red and white compact and looks stylish on the bench.. milk frother is usless, boils over with the correct amount of milk in it. Dripper tray fills up very quickly, empty pods get stuck. I hope Electrolux will come up with better tasting pods, and more brands that will fit this machine. The Style, it's a lovely… Read more · 2
looking machine Coffe Pods are a bit Boring.. I would recommend this to friends, if they would come up with better tasting coffee Pods.
Best Capsule Machine on the market – Good looking unit. Starts up quickly. Makes a shot of coffee very fast and gets really good crema - better than any other capsule machine. Milk frother works about the same as other brands - heats up in 90 seconds and gets great froth, but like all the other brands - is only good for one cup at a time. This is where the Electrolux stands out - it… Read more · 1
also has a steam wand - we bought a 1 litre stainless steel jug for $25 and can quickly steam milk for 3 cups at a time. Produces a pretty powerful and hot steam.
The Lavazza capsules are larger than most brands and great quality. (they are also a bit cheaper than most brands). I have tried all the different flavours for other machines and wasnt really impressed. OK but not great. The Lavazza capsules make a really nice coffee. I have a really expensive coffee machine also, but i like the Electrolux for its simplicity.
Recommend it for anyone who is looking for a capsule machine. simple to use, fast, clean, great tasting capsules, cheap, capsules available in store like all capsule machines - milk frother is pretty small (tho the Electrolux gets a steam wand as well )
