We are another Customer of Emilia that has had the cupboards on either side melt. As the new owners of the home where the oven was already installed, we would like to know what we can do to fix this problem? Unable to use the oven as we are fearful the kitchen will be destroyed.
Unless you can get the oven replaced if still under warranty. You will be stuck with it.
in my house when I bought it the cupboards each side of the oven had a piece of stainless steel strip glued to them on the that went between the cupboards and the oven. It was only about 100mm deep and protruded slightly to line up with the front of the oven door.
I have finally replaced my Emilia and rebuilt part of the kitchen to fit in a wall oven otherwise I would have taken a photo for you
If you have the vinyl coated doors on your cupboards I think you may find you will have trouble no matter what oven you use as they all let out a lot of hot air when you open the door.

I have a free standing model with the grill in the oven but there are no instructions as to how to use it prevents turn the grill on. Please help..

My Mum has the Emilia EI965MVI and the grill takes forever to grill anything, I'm talking longer than 1 hour for a chicken stick! And the oven doesn't cook inside the food inky cooks the outside, we bought it for $2500 AUD and we are wondering is there something we can do to make things better or do we consider buying a new oven/stove :(
Hi Marsha, not much you can do as far as I could come up with. I stopped using the oven a long time ago and bought a bench top oven just to get by. (one of those round glass ones). I just bought a new stove and having it installed this week.
Hi Marsha, I dont know of anything you can do. You could call someone to have a look at it, which I guess you would have to pay for... I ended up cutting my losses and purchasing a new oven after about three years. It was just a rubbish product :/ . Can you go back to the place of purchase and ask them about it? Good luck :)

I am sorry to say I ended up, after a long fight, going to Small Claims and got my money back. My oven was the opposite, it got so hot it caught fire, could not touch the bench tops near it. Had that one replaced and the same problem with the second one. Very disappointed as I spent a similar amount, only to be told "that is a cheap oven" I bought an Omega for half the price and its great. Hope you get it sorted. Try Consumer Affairs. Lynda (NooNoo)
