couldn't move, and we ended up taking him to the emergency department. We noticed that when two people slept on the mattress, there appeared to be a dip forming in the middle, which we suspect was contributing to the lack of proper back support. I contacted Emma in January 2023 to raise the issue. After several emails, delays and follow-ups, their response was simply that we were outside the 100-night trial period and therefore couldn't return it. Despite the mattress being less than a year old, no meaningful solution was offered. Now, the second mattress has also developed the same issue, causing back pain after a couple of years of use. Two separately used mattresses, purchased at the same time, developing the same problem is a pretty strong indication to me that this is a product quality issue rather than an isolated defect. We purchased Emma because of its reputation and excellent reviews, expecting a quality mattress that would last for years. Instead, we've ended up with two expensive mattresses that have failed to provide adequate support, along with disappointing customer service. A mattress should not be causing this level of discomfort after such a short period of use, especially at Emma's price point. I would not recommend Emma mattresses, particularly for couples. They might feel comfortable initially, but our experience raises serious concerns about their long-term durability and support. My advice would be to look elsewhere.

cave in, and some days woke up a little sore. I thought maybe I was just getting used to it, or maybe there were other factors.

I ended up finding a correlation with sleeping at my partner's place regularly (no pain) and sleeping at mine (back soreness), and the last few months I've only slept in my bed and it gotten pretty bad. I'm an ex-gymnast with very good flexibility and range of motion, and never had a single back issue before this.

It's such a huge hunk of fabric (not to mention expensive) but it's going to have to go, and I'm frustrated I put up with 3 years of sleeping on this thing. Sleeping on the side or stomach certainly helped, but we won't always stay in the same position.

Edit: I did contact support prior to writing this, and received a similar generic response as their reply below. I don't expect any action, just want others to be aware, and if they do buy, don't accept or try to put up with any slight issue.

100% satisfaction from the Emma Comfort Mattress because it ticked all the boxes I bought it for – Installed it and followed the directions to obtain maximum service out of the mattress. Now very impressed with the degree of comfort and durability being experienced in usage. Happy also that it is not a heavy mattress to manipulate when changing the bed linen. continue using it for a few more months to see if it would ‘settle.’ Unfortunately, the mattress has now started sagging, and because the 150‑day trial period has passed, I have no choice but to keep it. Overall, this has been a frustrating experience and I cannot recommend it.

Comfortable but nowhere near as soft as I thought it would be. We are both lightweight (50-70kgs) side sleepers and we both feel like we sleep “on” this mattress rather than sinking in. seemed to be the softest “mattress in a box” available, so I’m very glad I didn’t go with anything firmer. It was a good (sale) price so I don’t mind spending a bit extra on a topper to get a softer feel. Delivery was prompt

The mattress is very comfortable and takes the shape of your body. I have slept well on it since I bought it. The only thing I would improve is the fact that the edges of the mattress could be more supportive. Show details ·  2

new mattress - To be honest I was a little sceptical of a mattress in a box but with 150day sleep guarantee I thought why not. I can honestly say I'm so very glad I gave Emma Mattresses a try. Best night sleep I've had in a very long time. So very comfortable and much cooler than normal Mattresses. Thanks guys for the fantastic work. Keep it up.

Firm, gave me back pain, have not had a single good night sleep on it. Purchased for my 2 year old but co sleep regularly. Had to actually use the 100+ night trial return period.

thank you to all, who had provided the experiences, I too was hesitant and the fact they dont have a physical address says it all, they hide on the web, and in the case you decide to take them to court you would need to take them to the high courts which will be well over the cost of the mattress, not worth this hassle, not buying from here again or ever

Contacted them on the scheduled day of delivery to see if I could get a delivery window, only to be told that the mattress I had ordered and paid for was out of stock and wasn’t restocking for 3 weeks. mattress that morning. The only solution they had was for me to refund my order and buy a different mattress from their line (for more money). So I’ve had to spend more than I wanted, am out heaps while I wait for the refund to process, and will be sleeping on the couch for god knows how long because they couldn’t do anything to expedite the delivery despite it being their mistake.

Update, after reading many more awful reviews on here I have cancelled my order and will be looking elsewhere.

Absolutely loving my new mattress. Needed a mattress for a second bed and am genuinely impressed by how comfy this is especially as I was hesitant about a mattress in a box. it's way", "we have your parcel". Clearly not. When the day came for move, no sign of the mattress and no communication. About a week later I received a"sorry we are out of stock". Err, I bought and paid for this, so stock should have been put aside! A series of seriously patronising emails overflowing with platitudes "understanding my frustrations" followed. Two weeks later the mattress arrived. Simply not good enough.

We have had the Emma comfort mattress for about two years now, and for the most part it has been comfortable. It's a medium-firm mattress and so far there is no sagging in the foam. However, I have noticed some partner disturbance - I am smaller than my husband (55kg, vs 100kg) and can definitely feel his movements through the mattress. Show details ·  1
