Do not use this business – Our business uses Engin because the previous owner did. We recently stopped being able to make calls or send faxes. I have spent over a week emailing and calling and getting nowhere. They even told me we don't have a fax line which is rubbish. Worst Customer Service Ever – [Name Removed] sucks. [Name Removed] was the rudest, most arrogant customer service agent I've ever spoken to. Screamed at me and was had disgusting customer service skills. He also told me only 3 people worked there in the whole company - will be terminating today.

I have had a great experience with Engin over abut 14 years – The service provided has been so great that the only time I have had to encounter thr firm was when I had to install new Voip interfaces twice and they patiently helped me set both of them up.  Show details

I'm also wondering! – I've been with Engin since 2010 and have a landline phone (ALL Oz calls Inc.) and adsl2+. Connection was delayed for 3 days,which the reimbursed me for. The phone line was unusable for a week once after a slight flood, it was fixed and they also reimbursed me for this! The Internet has gone down twice in nearly 7yrs, both due to power blackouts!  Show details

Shocking service... if you can even get any! – We have been loyal Engin customers for 3+ years. We've had 2 issues this year, and on both occasions the service has been horrible. One issue was a service dropout and one issue a billing mistake. Its impossible to find a support phone number. When you do call them, you can only call after 10am AEST. There is no priority support for business… Read more

critical services. Recently the card used for our direct debit expired... Engin proceeded to cut off our business service 2 business days after the failed debit without any warning or request to retry payment. The Engin consultant insisted that its not their problem and that there is no need for them to let their customers know that their card declined/expired and its our responsibility to proactively update card details on all our direct debits. Yes its true that we need to update details but every other supplier either reaches out to us before the expiry date OR ASAP after the first decline... then the details are promptly sorted out and all is well. Engin's system is smart enough to cancel our service... but not smart enough to send their loyal customers a payment reminder on a declined card - What a Joke!!! Its now day 2 of a non working phone system. We called and sorted out billing issues yesterday... and we were promised a 30 minute reset time... now 10 hours later... nothing!

Please DO NOT USE Engin – I use Engin for our business VIOP. Our VOIP line has been disconnected. I have phoned numerous times, sent multiple emails and cannot contact a representative from Engin. Product support if non existent.

Avoid Engin & other Vocus brands – Absolutely terrible. We had a voice service via a SIP trunk. Since Vocus has taken over the ownership of Engin, we're told they will shut down the SIP service and we need to move. Started moving service, before the contracted cut over date, Engin have deleted the routing from their system, so calls are told our business number is disconnected. Customer support non existent.

Absolutely Shocking service!! – Our phone system don't work. We were down for an entire week and they still didn't send someone to fix the problem. They have a terrible culture and ZERO customer service. If you call them, you could stay on the line for an hour!

Totally Pathetic do not deal with this company one star because you have tio have a rating they dese – I cancelled my service and the direct debit billing has continued. Three emails and two conversations with their call center have failed to resolve this issue. I do not believe they have customer service of any type operating for this company. Engin taken over by scammers – Used Engin over 7 years ago - it was pretty useful back then. Instead of cancelling it the Aussie girl at their call centre suggested moving to a free plan in case I ever changed my mind - it would never cost anything, then forgot about it - never using it again. answering billing starts by fishing around for extra personal details to add to their database - he manages to get my date of birth before I start complaining. Says my plan expired, now is on a paid plan and they will cancel it - but I cant have my money back.

Pretty obvious a group of Indian scammers have managed to get hold of the database and billing system of Engin and will milk it for all its worth before they are busted and disappear in India.

Lodged a complaint with the telecommunications ombudsman to try and get it shut down before they scam thousands of people.

any calls let alone anyone answering just not good enough. The only reason I know this is I called again as an existing customer to be told this. What is going on with this company plus I think it is based overseas now which 8 years ago it was based in Sydney what a joke.

Do not use engine -pathetic – Set up process usual time frame but if you are a loyal customer and move address your connection takes longer that setup from a new provider. Connection very unreliable - worst part is it drops out Friday night and you cant even speak with anyone in tech support cause they are closed. Shocking service.  Show details

For 8 years we were lucky, 1 incident and the technical incompetence is exposed – Over the years we used the VOIP service. It was good. We outgrew it so I had a VOIP pbx put into the office. My staff couldn't get help from Engin to configure that, okay, that's not part of the deal so we bought 2 SIP trunks from another provider and just redirected the Engin numbers to those new numbers. to those SIP trunks failed.

We tested and tested.

We tried changing the number, the forward worked.

We tried the original number, it failed.

We rebooted the pbx, and retested, it failed.

We contacted Engin.

Operator after operator could not understand our non-standard config.

I had to explain it in minute detail 3 times.

In the end the complaints team called to say everything was working so aren't they great.

No.

I asked what went wrong. Why did we lose our valuable phone line for almost a full business day.

After some evasive discussion [name removed] admitted, he and his tech team had no idea.

He had completely the wrong idea about our setup so I repeated the entire explanation (above) yet again.

I told him that his call really confirmed what I feared yesterday.

Our account has been running well for years through luck, not technical competence.

We needed help and answers.

The best answer they could give was that we didn't pay much money (for the redirections) so it is what it is.

I asked if they had a better service we could buy because this was critical.

Dumbfounded.

I asked whether they would compensate me for the failure and I could use that money to Port to another supplier. No, no way [name removed] said.

I asked if I could make a complaint, he said well he's the head of the complaints team so why?

Okay, great.

My recommendation, avoid Engin like the bubonic plague. You might get lucky, and be immune, or you might not be.

The worst – We signed up with Engin VOiP in December 2016 and did not get a service until Mid January 2017. We were credited for the 1 and half months wait but only after phone call after phone call. longer worked and we were without a service. When we told them we were cancelling the service (via internet chat as we could not call them) they blamed everything except themselves. Support was hopeless. They have now agreed to cancel the service provided we return their voice box. Believe us, we were more than happy to.
