BEWARE sells REFURBISHED laptops as NEW. Dishonest Seller – BEWARE sells REFURBISHED laptops as NEW. Dishonest Seller. Laptop was sold an 'Brand new' with Manufacturers warranty. The Laptop was factory refurbished as HP appends a "R" to the end of the product code in the BIOS and add a new label. Also the warranty had been used and was out of date. (see photo) The product code was 1N3R4UAR. Google Search… Read more

for HP 1N3R4UAR and you will find these are all 'Refurbished'. I informed entique systems of the above. He is still selling the laptop as "New". Dishonest Seller. The laptop was "in new" condition but was definitely refurbished. I assume the vast majority of people buying from them cannot detect the laptops are refurbished. Sells on ebay as entique_australia. Xps 13 laptop – Laptop listed as new with warranty, ended up being refurbished and with no warranty. Seller Refused refund, refused to pay for Australian warranty, not really cooperative. They lied in ebay messages about origin and condition, that dragged the conversation over 30 days ( ebay limit ) Ebay helps only within first 30 days to solve issues with items "not as described" The guy/lady is a joke.  Show details

Liar and Scammer - Stay away – I purchased a $2900 laptop from them on eBay. I then realised I had ordered wrong device so on the day I received the laptop I sent it back using eBay returns - sealed and unopened as it was sent by the seller. The seller on receiving the item lied to eBay that the item was opened and used and hence deducted $580 dollars for restocking. I then… Read more

provided ebay with photos of item and sealed box (with the auspost yellow packagint tape used by seller still intact). I also sent the seller email challanging to prove that item was opened - they replied saying ""There are costs for you changing your mind"- which proved that he lied to eBau and was just disappointed at the item being returned even though its eBay policy and also my right under Australian consumer law.

eBay then ruled in my favor and refunded me the full money but sadly removed my ebay feedback on him which is a shame he is being protected by eBay even though they fully know he is a cheater and a fraud.

I would stay away from such businesses and this kind of seller does not deserve to have a successful business.

Scammer! – This 'person' sells refurbished devices and sells as brand new. When contacted with proof of this (checked Laptop serial Number via Manufacturer Website) they say this is not true and unit is new. Was then offered an extended warranty (which the manufacturer would not offer on refurbished goods). Asked for discount and will keep Laptop, was told… Read more

no and send back. Sent back using eBay returns system, they then claim it wasn't received.

I contacted the courier and obtained proof of delivery and the time, (they said address not attended as it's an office, however it is their home). eBay wouldn't give a refund as no signature was collected.

Found that no courier is collecting signatures due to COVID-19, called courier back and got this in writing, sent to eBay and then got full refund.

I then posted negative feedback for the seller, this was ~2 weeks ago...still not showing.

Good job eBay, supporting this scammer, I have provided proof of his 'business model' and still eBay does nothing, not only that negative feedback doesn't show and found this on their eBay profile 'op Rated seller: One of eBay's most reputable sellers. Consistently delivers outstanding customer service.'.

Absolutely amazing.

Deceptive - selling overseas models without full disclosure – Bought a laptop from entique_australia via their ebay listing. have had problems with the item straight out of the box and have had to contact the manufacturer several times. The screen has had to be replaced and the Touchpad will likely need replacing also. Scammer - Beware!! – Bought a HP ELitebook on their Ebay store - paid $1600 - sold as "brand new", received non-original box, doesn't have the usual new items inside such as warranty and manuals and scuff marks on the laptop. number - but found a sticker tag that says "service-tag" on it, brand new laptops don't have these things , everything should be traceable even back to the warranty, you can even check these online. This guy thinks people are stupid.

See photos - BIOS shows a different serial number to serial on the back of the laptop which had a "service-tag" covered over it, I had to take it off hence the black mark. But brand new laptops should have these. Serial numbers should be the same in the BIOS and the laptop, this tells me that this scammer has bought a faulty shell and swapped out the motherboard. They have been reported.

Selling refurbished products as new! Fraudulent sales on EBay! – I bought a brand new Lenovo Yoga 730 on Entique Systems EBay online store in May 2019. laptop was broken from factory without warranty for life. Lenovo had sold the laptop in 2018 in the U.S. (I am in Australia) and there is not even a possibility of upgrading the warranty.

EBay has also advised the don't cover customer after 180 day of purchase, so now I find myself ripe off $1885 with no where to go to!

I will definitely try go forward ACCC Australian Competition and Consumer Commission so they stop scamming other customers! But I am pretty hopeless to see my money back.

Selling Reburbished Product as New!! – Purchased a Laptop advertised as new. When the Laptop arrived queried the status and manufacture date with the owner who said it came with manufacturers warranty. A positive experience – I admit to initially having some serious misgivings about buying from Entique Systems. I live locally and they were happy for me to pick up the laptop myself, so I cannot speak to shipping, however the laptop itself definitely seems brand new, came with all the appropriate packaging, was exactly as described on it's store page and and was under a full manufacturers warranty. I cannot speak to other's negative experiences, however mine was very positive despite my doubts and, as initially stated, was incredibly good value for money.

with it constantly HP were trying to fix it and confirmed that it was indeed a refurbished laptop.

So, I sent an email to [name removed] on a Friday morning, tried to call all day without any luck, left a message to request a call back which never happened. When I finally reached him on Monday afternoon he said he replied to my email, which was a lie! When I told him that HP confirmed it was a refurbished model he said that would need to get investigated further.

All I can say is that you are dealing with a liar who buys cheap refurbished models from overseas and then denies everything when confronted. Big disappointment especially after spending close to $2000. Do not buy from Entique Systems!!!

Beware – Exploiting loopholes on eBay to avoid negative feedbacks there. Like others, I found the laptop I bought, sold as new, was a US product with only 6 months left on the warranty. But my problem was that it crashed systematically when I tried to run the professional software I bought it for. Unusable for me... When I sent it back for a refund, the seller kept a 20% "restocking fee".

Once Bitten - Twice Shy – If price is your only criteria - no problem. Forget about telling the truth and customer service. Deliberately misrepresented his capability to supply - lied when asked about a particular feature and refused point blank to work together for a satisfactory outcome. He is dependent on getting your money first before ordering the computer. An upsetting and unpleasant experience.

Beware – If you are buying a watch that has a warranty in excess of 12 months from this business - Beware. I bought a Citizen Eco-drive which has 5 year warranty and it failed after 2 -3 years. owner. He wanted me to take it to a repair shop!

I sent it back to him. He said it was software related! After a lot of arguing on my behalf that how could I have cause the problem when I could not operate it and him not giving any response to that, I agreed for it to be shipped back to me after he said it was fixed. After I received it, the problem was not initially there but once I plugged it into power and unplugged it the same problem came back. He told me again that it was software related, this time because I installed and removed a Virus defender which is universally knows (BitDefender) . He refused to explain how it could have caused it. In the end he kept my money for 10% for re-stocking and charged me for all shipping costs. brand new, refurbished or something inbetween. Their answer was inbetween but they couldn't give much more detail. Their free shipping is a bit misleading as I still had to pay shipping costs.

That said, I got the product. As far as I can tell it looks and feels brand new and has all the specifications advertised. Only a day or two into using it but so far loving it! I got it very quickly also from Tasmania to Brisbane (though I did pay for speedier delivery).

Overall I'd say I had a rather positive experience with them - they seem to be doing their best to bring affordable products into a highly inflated market. As with all online shops it's buyer beware, however, I'd use them again and recommend them to friends (so long as they do their research and ask questions). Quick turnover of messages. Love the product I recieved. They could bring a bit more transparency to their customer service. Not everyone they sell to will know the inns-and-outs of the product specifications/technicalities or sales industry. I'd say they could do a bit better job explaining things clearly and in 'lay' terms.
