take too long to answer the phone.

After about a week, thr connection dropped entirely, and nobody answered the phone. A bit of investigation quickly revealed that the HMAS Epic had hit an iceberg, for various purported reasons, mostly financial.

Anyway, it's as simple as that. Good riddance. We have since moved to Tangerine, which has been flawless so far.

Epic rubbish – No help setting up ,took money up front and had no service contacted Them on several occasions no reply and when they did it was a email with no info , left them after no service and still did not refund

The biggest liar NBN provider – The speed of internet was average, but the outage was unbelievable, just too often. Made excuse that they were hacked etc, but actually failed to pay their wholesaler so get cut off from service. Show details

Had for a few months with some downtime then no service completely – Had the service for a while, seemed fine transferred from last isp simple and fast as was using my own hardware and was getting the speed as advertised. invoice. Service stopped earlier in the week, no status updates on the site, live chat disabled, Facebook page removed then the website was taken down. I understand downtime and maintenance happens but no updates, not answering calls or emails or reassuring your customers the issue is being fixed to then removing the website seems very sus. Doubt you can sign up to them now anymore but if you are with them i would leave.

Bad company and service – The internet has been disconnected on 6 May 2021 nationally till today (8 May 202) without any sign of a solution They removed their website, Facebook page and doesn't respond to emails or phone calls. Epic Failure !!!!!!!! – Just like all the other reviews on this blog. Epic is a massive failure and I've had nothing but issues since I took them up a as new ISP about 3 weeks ago. I only picked Epic because finder.com gave them a great recommendation and ranking. Up until 1 hour ago Finder still had them as No.3 in the top 10 internet providers, what a joke and thanks a lot Finder.com. Show details

Can't live with it!!!! Terrible mistake to switch from Launtel – I requested for nbn12 plan to start 18-Apr, nothing happened and I had to recharge on my current provider as the churn did not happen. They install the service 5 days delayed, and they (Epic) sent me a bill for for another customer's name and address for A$ 51.46 (on 22/04), and today they sent me another bill for under name for A$ 51.46 (23/04).… Read more

They activated my account even after I requested for cancellation of my order. Worst is they direct debit both the bill amounts for total A$ 102.92 No one will attend your calls or chat online and you will be very very very lucky if your call got attended. I'm wondering how such companies even qualify to operate as an ISP.

Worth the long wait to get through – I spent nearly a week researching nbn plans. Epic came up trumps as far as price goes. Then on sign up, customer service guy was super friendly and did not try and sell me an unnecessary new modem and assured me my old one would work. He was right. So as long as they don't jack up their prices they will keep my custom forever. Well done all round. Keep up the good work and hire more people and you will kill the competition. Show details

Very helpful – Very fast service I just joined this broadband yesterday and got connected today. Then I was having trouble with configuring my byo modem I spent few hours and I couldn't figure out. Because at my location there is no direct nbn it's hfc . Then I started chatting with support agent on epic website and JAMES was so helpful he direct me through every step and finally got internet connection at my place. Thanks again James  Show details

Very ANGRY with EPIC BROADBAND – Finally received an email from EPIC broadband saying they have gone under. Since they have overcharged me without refund, I hope ASIC or TIO can prevent the directors from holding future directorship or opening another company reselling NBN broadband network in Australia. Trying to follow up on my NBN connection request no response. Very very bad service – The price is tempting. First I tried to call them with no success. as soon as they received the request and it may take up to 48 hours. I have disconnected my current NBN connection and waiting for Epic to processed my NBN connection. I have been on phone for hours and emailed them. So far no responses even an acknowledgement. Already regretting and no way knowing what is going on. Very bad consumer service and bad start. Cancelling it. Do not be fooled by price.

failed to pay their service fees and instead of taking the blame (vocus states they were in SEVERE arrears), they are blaming customers for the service being shut off. The business name has been cancelled but the ABN is still active so beware them starting another ISP (for the third time) that will take money and close shop. Knowing they were not answering any customer communication but still signing up new customers before liquidating shows the intent to not provide customers with a service.

Average Experience Pre-Liquidation – Price was reasonable and speed was good. Modem was pre-configured but didn't work. Took 2 weeks to arrive. Tried customer service but they couldn't find the problem and advised it might be a hardware problem. customer support - they said they would send another modem out but never did. A week later I contacted support and was advised my internet was never turned on.

A few months of good internet (no drop-outs and decent speed) went by. Then at the beginning of May they went into liquidation. Thankfully I used a credit card to make my monthly payments and am able to dispute the charges / get a refund that way. Feels bad for everyone who signed up and was hit with the liquidation straight away.

offered me an excellent discount ($15 discount per month) as I’ve now bundled my mobile and home wifi. Was connected within an hour using my existing modem and couldn’t be happier.

"Pre-configured modem did not connect even though the service had supposedly been active for over a week. Tried customer service by phone - no answer after being on hold 45 min+ three times.

Chat function and Launchpad via their site do not work. Customer service phone is never answered. Can not find how to cancel anywhere on their site.

They are not a legitimate business. I have reported them to the Telecommunications Ombudsman.

Are they going into liquidation? – Long story short, I submitted a complaint with the ombudsman who just replied with “ Please note, the TIO has been made aware that this provider may be going into liquidation and that services have been disconnected or not provided.” yet the automated responses I was getting said they were training new people. Epic Disaster – From sign up first problem have already there... Late modem delivery. Modem arrived and haven't been configured. I though, well new company hopefully getting better in the future. But with 2 outages within 3 months and when they have second outages nationally. They have just choose to run away... I tried sending a direct message to [Name Removed] as I have done or been advised to before and am blocked?! I can’t afford to pay for internet that doesn’t work no matter how low the price and can’t wait around for months for it to be fixed like I had to to be connected. When my first connection was finally set up it went down for about 2 days and I was told my case had been sent to NBN by priority and never heard back (this was mid March) luckily it fixed itself that time but this time it has been many days. Epic you need to pick up your game, actually respond to your customers, and actually provide a service that works!

for a new modem, which was double the price as other providers and they charged me $90 up front for the service. So I've lost out, but I have managed to leave and have great reliable internet with another provider. Good luck to everyone else trying to make contact with this company. My recommendation. Stay away from Epic.
