Perfect dryer for the price – To be honest, I did read others' reviews for Esatto EHPD7 before writing mine. Here is what I noticed. If you compare it to the conventional tumble dryer - you shouldn't. It's different technology and besides drying clothes there is nothing that is similar between two. My previous dryer was a Samsung heat pump. It is very, very similar to Esatto… Read more · 1
EHPD7 in everything but the price. Let's talk about negatives first. If you compare it to other heat pump dryers while it is still very energy efficient it is on the lower scale of efficiency - 6 star rated. Savings are still huge in comparison with traditional tumble dryers. Front panel and menu is very functional, but not fancy at all as you'd find in premium brands. Not sure if mentioned above are negatives. In my books it is what it is. However, the positives are huge. 1. Price. Without mentioning numbers, the Esatto EHPD7 cost the third of comparable branded dryers while doing similar good job at what it meant to do 2. Energy saving. For the price of a fancy branded traditional tumble dryer you can get Esatto EHPD7 and save A LOT on power. 3. Gentle on clothes. For the price of fancy branded traditional tumble dryer you can get Esatto EHPD7 that because of its tech won't burn or damage your cloths 4. Won't fog up the room and instigate mould growth. For the price of a fancy branded traditional tumble dryer you can get Esatto EHPD7 that will collect moisture instead of dispersing it in the room. 5. Warranty. Not guaranteed, but in the last couple of years you can extend the standard 2 years warranty by another year by registering your appliance.
Even though it is a dryer review I won't go into details how good or bad it is because it does exactly what it is supposed to do. Please keep in mind though that it is the technical nature of heat pump dryers that it takes longer to dry in comparison to conventional tumble dryers.
Please have a look at my unpacking video review. After all, I'd not hesitate to recommend Esatto EHPD7 to anyone who is after a well designed budget clothes dryer without much of the compromise.
Great dryer – This dryer is great value had it for a few years now. I don’t have the drain set up I just empty the water when required. I’m having an issue after running for 5 mins the full light comes on & it stops working. All filters are super clean & no build up. Anyone got any ideas. [Email Address Removed] Show details · 2
10/10 would buy again – There is something about a dryer that filters out sand from the beach that makes my heart so happy I have to stop folding washing and come post a review. I've been super happy with the dryer since day one. It dries everything perfectly, it has a light in the door when you open it, the water tank is convenient to empty (or has a hose to attach and… Read more · 1
drain with the washing machine, ours is on the wrong side of the laundry so we use the tank). The filter on this thing though absolutely blows my mind. I've had GLITTER and SAND separated off the washed clothes into the filter. SEE ATTACHED FOR THE AMAZINGNESS OF THE SAND!!! the lint catcher also another highlight, I love that it collects in a container so I can remove and empty over the bin, rather than scooping fluff off the door and filter panel. I've used this non stop since we got it at the start of the year, it hasn't skipped a beat and was a bargain compared to any other heat pump on the market. Id also like to point out though, that this is the same as the aldi one, just rebranded to their electronics brand, and it was even cheaper if you managed to score one from there. Ours is off appliances Online, brilliant service there too, delivery install all worth the extra 70ish I paid over Aldi price.
The only downside I've found is clothes will wrinkle if you forget you've dried clothes and leave them in for over a day after its finished. No issue if you fold within 12 hours though, as they're still warm.

A dryer we actually use! – So I’ve always had a dryer in the laundry but can say in over 25 years hardly ever used it unless absolutely necessary. They were noisy, filled the room with condensation and left clothes in a tangled mess. Well as I didn’t have the ability to vent a dryer in the new place I paid up a few hundred more and bought his new condenser type. We’ve had… Read more
it over a year now and it’s hard to fault and we use it a lot more. It dries clothes quicker and more complete, the old one you could still feel there was moist heat in clothes and I no more put a tshirt on and have to send it back to the wash as it smells damp. Our laundry is next to our living area and not well insulated, if I am listening for it I can hear it but it’s so unobtrusive that I don’t notice it. We haven’t connected the water drain up yet, was on the to do list but haven’t cut holes in the bench and we are used to emptying the water container and can use it to water plants - how green is that! The water reservoir is on the top left corner, if you are short and mount the dryer above bench height then you might have a hard time reaching it. We have it sitting on the bench above the washer and my 5ft wife can handle it. Considering it’s sitting on the bench with no bracing it’s just struck me that it’s impressive it hasn’t moved nor doesn’t transmit more noise through the hard bench surface. I think this was one of the cheapest models when I bought it, around $650 from memory. I usually will fork out more but just didn’t think we used it enough. Now I’m not sure if more expensive ones would perform better. This is only 7kg but the barrel seems really large. I’d think if you had large doonas that were much heavier wet you might be able to semi dry on the line then finish off in the drier. I just noticed that the door glass is actually plastic, this might be a worry but as it doesn’t seem to get stupidly hot but still dries the clothes I’d think this will be ok. After a year the whole unit looks good as new. I love a great functioning appliance and this one gets my tick of approval
Essato service in Australia is dismal – My Essato drier stopped working 1 week after the 2 year warranty. Essato said they'd potentially cover it depending on what's wrong with it. Great!, but no... I lodged the service warranty call 4 weeks ago. Appliances online referred me to the Residentia Group, they then subcontract to some other undisclosed company who then engage another… Read more
division for the actual works. That's four sets of hands before you get to the actual repair people, who by the way won't communicate directly with you.
At first I was making weekly calls to check on the progress, now at nearly 4 weeks I am making daily calls and I keep getting false promises that someone will call me back to schedule a repair. We have a family and the mountain of laundry piling up with limited outdoors clothes drying is crazy.
You cut people some slack for Covid disruption but this experience is beyond that. This is the result I believe of a convoluted service model through 4 sets of hands and a useless nominated repair agent by Essato who use an offshore call centre.
Well built, efficient machine that makes clothes last longer than normal dryers – I purchased this because it had a much higher energy efficiency rating than my old vented dryer and because I thought I would not have to leave my small apartment laundry doors open to run. I assumed the efficiency might lead to clothes drying properly, but it now takes about twice as long to dry a full load (full load from a 7kg washing… Read more · 1
machine). The laundry doors I still have to leave open, or I get a water dripping off the bottom of them, which means I have to install an exhaust fan now to stop the doors from getting water damage.
The settings on it really don't work - if you want dry clothes, you have to put it on Cotton Extra, or they will just come out damp. I have tried nearly all of the settings and clothes types. I do like my clothes very dry though, not 'cupboard dry', or 'ironing dry', but dry.
The only thing this dryer may have over my old vented Simpson is the energy savings. But without being able to directly compare loads and measure the usage, I can't really comment on this.
Edit: I've had the dryer for about a year and a half now and have changed my mind on it a little. I haven't had any maintenance issues and although it takes a bit longer than air dryers, my clothes are lasting a lot longer. It does create a little bit of heat in the small space and I still had to install an exhaust fan, but I don't think any dryer could get a round that. You'll always have some heat escaping from the machine, that is inevitable.
Overall I'm quite happy with the purchase. One thing I think might improve it would be the filter system. There are two filters which need cleaning quite regularly, but the second filter has heat fins behind it which also occasionally need cleaning as some fluff still get through. It would be good to include a small brush for this and make it more accessible. This is minor though, overall it is a good machine.

"FULL" error fix on Essato dryer – I love my dryer, recently I learned to fix the "FULL" error. See its not an error and the machine is not faulty. Problem was I needed to clean the dirt off the sensor in the first lint filter compartment. The machine is awesome except understand these dryers dry slowly and you have to clean the filter at least the main one each time, and the secondary one every 2 weeks. enjoy. Show details
Great little front loader for small unit – I absolutely love this product. Particularly surprised by just how well it actually cleans each load (compared to my last Euromaid) Its much quieter than I expected & I recommend for 1 or 2 people who don't necessarily require a hard working machine. For the price this can't be beaten, in my opinion. Great looking & simple operation. Show details
Perfect for renters – We have had this dryer for almost two years now and it gets used almost every day. My husband can be rough on our appliances, with a tendency to overload them, but is is still going strong. When we purchased this dryer we had only a small space in a bathroom to put it with no windows or ventilation, so I was concerned about condensation given my… Read more
experience with dryers in the past. I am pleased to say that this has not been an issue. Water collects in a draw on the top left and is easily emptied. The dryer has a variety of settings to cover whatever type of clothes you need to dry and is not unreasonably noisy. Clothes do not get tangled. but I have discovered that fitted sheets need to be dried on their own to avoid forming a ball where the clothes inside the sheet don't dry. Would not be suitable for mounting upside down above a washing machine due to the water collecting in the draw, but overall I have been very happy with this dryer.

Horrific item and customer service – Purchases a dryer 2 and a half years ago. Advertised to last for 10+ years. Dryer has not stopped heating. incredibly rude and essentially told me that how do they know I haven't broken the button and I should have called within the warranty period if I had issues ( I had no reason to need to reset the until within this time) the manager was one of the rudest individuals essentially just blaming me and calling me a liar. Don't buy this product and certainly hope to God you don't need assistance from these horrific people.
BEWARE do not buys Residentia Group products – The dryer wasn’t working so I called for service to be told it all has to been done by email (no customer service) so I done that gave all the details they wanted a video of that was happening and then also a description of what was happening I don’t know why both after getting all the details I was told who my local repair agent was so I rang… Read more
them up to be told they will be closed for a week so ask for a different repair agent so I email back to get a horrible email back for them to say a dryer isn’t essential that it’s not unreasonable to wait up for two weeks, I’m lucky enough that I return it to the store I brought it from for them to tell me that there customer service for them is shocking and they are starting to find that there brand products are being repaired and return the most glad I don’t have to put up with this brand anymore I will make it very clear to everyone I know don’t buy any of there products.
Faulty appliance and terrible customer service – This is a terrible dryer badly built. The heat pump stopped working after 7 months and some cosmetic cracks appeared out of nothing on the top panel. Dealing with appliance online and residentia group (Esatto) has been horrible. It's been two months and they refuse to do anything to fix the problem, worst customer service I have ever seen. No going back to condenser dryer – I have had this heat pump dryer for 12 months now and I am very happy with the purchase. It stacks nicely on top of my washer, the water doesn't have to be manually emptied as it connects to the laundry trough. I keep it on the Auto function and it always comes out perfectly dry if not overfilled. The 2 lint filters capture all the lint and i… Read more
clean them out after each load, this is a quick and easy process. It has excellent energy efficiency with an impressive 6 star rating. I just set it to auto, push the button and it does the rest. I use it for all my laundry, including towels, delicates, tops and pants, the only thing I haven't had dry fully first time is my doona but this is because it is too large and doesnt allow for enough air circulation.

Outstanding value for money - don't buy a German brand! – I previously had a German vented dryer and decided to upgrade to a heat pump as I was living in an area that rains a lot. I had low expectations as this was a low cost brand - but I am just so impressed with it. The dryer does not turn off prematurely - the clothes are always dry when it finishes. The functions are simple without all the stupid… Read more

The only criticism is that like most dryers - doona covers and big sheets tend to get tangled - but this is to be expected in all dryers
I also LOVE the double lint filter - its so much easier to clean out the lint than my old dryer and it means that any lint that gets through the door filter gets trapped by the second filter before it gets to the condensor
I haven't got round to hooking up the waste water - will do soon!
Cheap and works great! – Old dryer died and needed a new one. Was going to get a 2k+ dryer but read reviews that this works well too, with a much lower price tag I gave it a go. To my surprise, it worked super well. Clothes are dried and power bill did not go through the roof. Each load can take 1-2 hours, but you will get used to it. Had it for 7 months now, still happy with it.
LOVE IT !! – My old dryer threw itself off the wall and so I immediately jumped online and ordered a heat pump dryer. I will never go back !! It is efficient and quiet, and I’m so grateful to have it through all this rain !! Show details
Gets the job done – For such a basic model with a great energy rating it really gets the job done. I'm using it multiple times a week and haven't had any issues. The lint trap is easy to clean and it was a breeze to install. Total life saver to have in these cold wet winters. Show details
Not well manufactured – The machine does not drain the water to the tank but collects down the bottom in machine and machine shows full so it stops. The only way to get rid of the water is to tip it forward. If you read the reviews this is a common problem. Had two now and same thing. If it collected in the tank it’s mean to it would be a good machine but I have had two and Will not be getting a third. It’s cheap and that’s probably why. Show details
Excellent for the money – This is a decent dryer which does an excellent job. A large capacity 7kg which looks as big as my Whilrpool 8kg dryer there's plenty of room for everything . I bought this because it has a reverse action which is perfect for large sheets, but unfortunately it still managed to get my super king quilt cover into a ball but maybe these were never… Read more
meant for dryers. Fairly quiet, easy to use and with a nifty interior light there's a lot to like. My only dislike is the filter is tricky to pull apart for cleaning, but that is a fairly minor issue in the scheme of things. All in all I think this dryer was a good purchase, especially given it has a 2 year warranty with another year on redemption.
Worst dryer ever – We have had issues from first purchase. Have cleaned all filters as per manual and light always comes on saying full.Very frustrating. Would never buy this brand again. Clothes are never dry. Would make a great anchor for the boat.
Customer service unreliable – I purchased this product 18/07/21 after the first use the dryer is leaking from underneath leaving a huge puddle of water therefore I'm unable to use. Over the past two days I have called customer service twice they have advised BOTH times they would email a form for me to fill out and I'm still waiting for that form, how hard is it?? very frustrating Show details
Value for money – Fantastic purchase and great value. Purchased through Appliances Online, very quick delivery and easy installation. Several options for delicates to heavy-duty items. The big winner is the energy rating of 6 stars, so I don't feel guilty about using the dryer a little more than I would a traditional dryer. Have barely noticed a bump in electricity bills. Esatto Heat Pump Dryer EHPD7 – I have had 2 of these both of which tore soft material clothes eg tee shirts, polo shirts. This did not.happen every load and you couldn't pinpoint any likely loads. Goodbye condensation or needing to leave a door open – I was a bit hesitant in buying a brand that I have not encountered before, but with a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty I thought I would give it a try and have not looked back. is no longer a concern. The water trap needs to be drained after each load, so I would recommend plumbing in the pipe to alleviate this.
The Esatto EHPD7 has a lot of functionally, although I have only used "auto". Since purchasing from Appliances Online I have had no issues with the dryer.
Was skeptical but I love it!! – I was worried about buying a brand I hadn’t heard of but I’m so glad I read all the reviews and went with it. The dryer is so quiet. I replaced a F&P Condenser dryer which was terrible from day 1. This dryer is quiet, heats up less so I can tell will be less damaging on clothing. Has heaps of settings but overall I love it. for me. I use on auto and everything is dry when I return. It’s fairly noisy but no more then previous dryer with the added benefit of not steaming up my house. The key is to not overfill it and it dries perfectly. Cost $660 delivered from appliances online which is a bargain as most of the other dryers were double the price.
There is a hose attachment for emptying the water which I am not using yet but will. All in all, I highly recommend.
Best dryer ever – I absolutely love this dryer. Not only is it cheaper to run than others, it dries clothes perfectly and doesn't shrink. I don't have a clothes line so literally everything goes in the dryer. I just use the auto setting and walk away. It does take some time but their always perfect. Great value for money – Great machine for this price tag. I paid $516 back in November and purchased from appliance online’s ebay store. As always, the delivery was super quick! Excellent value – For a $500ish dryer, Esatto EHPD7 is great value for money. We have been using it on a daily basis, sometimes 2 loads per day. It's been 10 months and it's still holding up well. possibly see being a problem in the future, The lint filter doesn't seem to fit correctly (lots of movement) so a lot of lint gets into the second filter, then you can see lint on the evap condenser fins. Not a massive problem but could become a problem in the future.
Great dryer – Have had for 6 months now. Replaced very ancient hoover. A big fan of the auto feature which will keep drying till clothes are done then turn off. Might cost a bit at the start, but worth it in the end. Still keeps the garage warm like the older one but no biggy. Show details · 1
