Has anyone had a problem with the microphone in this camera? The camera works fine when and when I talk remotely through the eufy app to those in front of the camera, they can hear me perfectly but I can not hear anything they say. I have reset the device and checked all the mic settings but I only hear a low static noise

I have just purchased the EUFY 2K Indoor Security Camera. Do the camera have internal rechargeable battery or does it have to be connected to a power point.

It needs connected power and doesn’t work without external power

Can anyone tell me why my Eufy 2C cams are transmitting static/police scanner sounds, people talking???How does this happen when not in open network, only my home network with homebase? Is it possible it is picking up something from an outside surveillance source,or listening device?

I don't understand why I need a micro card or cloud storage instead of recording to the Base station as I do with my outdoor cameras.

Hello Christine, This is a standalone camera which records to the Micro SD card and doesn't use the storage of the base station like the outdoor camera's do but uses the same app. It's tailored for people who might not have a base station or other camera's. Other reasons why might be it's easier to retrieve and change a SD card inside, compared to climbing a ladder outside, and outside camera's are water proof whereas the Cam 2K is not.

Not clear that the Eufy 2K Indoor Pan&Tilt T8410C24 will operate without homebase unit with complete (or part) control etc via (android) phone and Eufy app, and including if located internationally. Not clear if camera can be connected to ddns (static IP) router via wireless and be used for surveillance by internet streaming/control via smart phone. Please advise.

It can be viewed or reviewed wherever you are provided both phone and camera are connected to wifi

Does that include active PTZ control and sound/voice while both connected, and presumably no notifications while phone not connected.

It can work standalone but you may need paid subscription if you need recording. As I said, everything goes to the cloud ie: streams to eufy gateway. You cannot connect the app directly to the camera so I think your question about DDNs is irrelevant, I think. As long as you have internet access, you can do all the controls and sound/voice. Note sound is simplex. That is, parties cannot talk at the same time. like a cb radio! It will work international but not sure if all countries are covered. You need to set the app to the country location of the camera. I suspect they do this as the camera will connect to the nearest gateway/POP. I don't know if the app will work when you have cameras in multiple countries though. Hope this helps.

Thanks - I am thinking ddns or like probably needed for static address to get back to a home router/network as these often have a dynamic IP. Mine certainly has.

Yes. That's what I thought you were trying to do with the DDNS but because the camera and app communicates back to the eufy gateway (they don't talk to each other directly), you don't need it.

Can it be mounted on ceiling, which will be upside down?

Yes, when installing you get the option for ceiling mount which will invert the picture.

Also wondering, is it completely wireless? From the pics it appears so but I could not find anywhere written that it is totally wireless.

Yes it is completely wireless

This reply maybe a tad late...I think nowadays, completely wireless means no wire at all including power? This does not have a battery doesn't it? So you need an adapter to power it therefore not completely wireless? WiFi is wireless off course.
