We had a small well known brand BBQ that we could not get replacement gill and charcoal rack for. We purchased the Cube online with other kitchen accessories. This is the first time we have cooked with real charcoal (we typically used 'heat beads' on the old We**er, or wood in our outdoor oven). Cooking with charcoal is great, the bbq is just fine for the two of us. It is very quick, giving meat and vegetables a great 'char grill' flavour. It is relatively easy to clean, scrub with bicarb soda and water (as soon as it cools down) as this wil...l eventually give the enamel a smooth 'non stick' easy to clean finish . The enamel cracked/crazed on the inside after the first use, and that bit is getting darker and harder to clean. I think a lid for indirect cooking would be a great accessory, I may try to make one out of sheet metal. I assume that it is easy to buy replacement grills and charcoal baskets when they start to wear out. We will also buy the cover just to be able to store on a shelf neatly etc. wil

Great bbq perfect for my needs
After reading reviews of damaged bbqs I was worried I’d made a mistake but I love this bbq. I used a Christmas Amazon gift card to buy this bbq. It looks beautiful and is so easy to store. It’s small enough to carry on your own and easy to whip out at a picnic. I would say that the instruction booklet that comes with the bbq could be clearer and that would probably reduce a lot of the problems people are having.
I read the reviews and lined the orange interior with foil. I used 25 coconut shell heat beads and 6 samba white fire starter as per...

Great little bbq, bought one the other day to go with our Jayco caravan for our summer treats. Didn't quite fit in the bottom locker by about 4mm, so took the little rubber feet off and now does. Cooked ribeye, venison back steak and mushrooms perfectly, took a while to cool down, but I think I probably used a bit to much charcoal, very pleased, maybe the tray should have been SS would be my only constructive comment so far. Perfect feed, and we're real foodies.

Love this cube!!
I've only used it once but it cooked with no issues ever with unexpected crazy winds.
It's portable and light. It has its own storage compartment with the copping board, which is super handy.
No I don't have to worry about using the crappy public BBQs around if I down the park or lake, and just use this little beast!!
Awesome little BBQ
We picked the Cube up off Gumtree as an unwanted gift. I have cooked all sorts of meals on it. For two people it is great. I would recommend it for small spaces like balconies etc. Our cube doesn’t get treated very well or looked after, we have never had a problem with it. The manufacturer would probably be horrified at what I do to it.

Absolutely awesome! The best bbq I have purchased.
I purchased this as it's a small cooking area (less charcoal) for 2 people and this far exceeds my expectation.
I have cooked lots of steaks and tonight, 4 thick pork loin steaks. Everyone loved it...4 of us.
The charcoal heats up quickly in it (you don't need a tunnel starter) and it keeps the heat in. Cool on the outside and importantly, it sits on my outdoor wooden bench. No issue with the surface it sits on.
For something so small, I easily cook for the 4 of us and it's now going to be my camping bbq as well. Absolutely love it. Quality, style and function!

I have had this about a year, Its alright, below average at best, enamel is cracked but dosent really affect cooking so im not really concerned, for the size of it it and how bulky it is it has a small cooking area especally if you want to have two zones and cook anything more than a couple sasuages, i wouldnt buy it again or recommend it to anyone.

Poor design, cracked before first use
Bought from Amazon and received with enamel already cracked. Everdure customer service refuse to replace unless store gets involved (store is unwilling). Poor customer service and poor product. It looks like many other reviews mentions the enamel cracking. Absolutely not something expected from a premium priced product

This bbq can cook anything! Although the size is small, it is still capable of cooking for 4 people. It is easy to clean and have not had problems using in the rain or wind. The bbq heats up very well and quite evenly. It is very convenient to move around and can be taken anywhere due to its convenient size. Very happy with purchase.

Was excited but got disappointed
Gotten an Everdure Cube from my friend as a bday present. Was all excited about it until i opened it up. There were already signs of enamel crackings at 3 out of the 4 corners. The black tray for the charcoal was found dent as well. It was such a great disappointment despite looking forward to the cool gift.

Good but could have been excellent.
We bought this product mostly because we were looking for a charcoal BBQ and this was available brand new (with the carry bag) for about one third of the normal price. We had never heard of this brand before seeing the Cube for sale.
To be honest, the normal retail price is VERY high even though it seems as though the unit is of reasonable quality. I suspect the price has as much to do with the celebrity endorsement, as with the actual cost of production.
As we have only used it once, we can't say a great deal about how well it lasts but so ...far there is no sign of the cracking that others have mentioned. Ours is a grey coloured BBQ so perhaps the type of paint used for different colours may have some impact. The biggest problem with a BBQ that is meant to be portable, is not being able to put it out. Charcoal burns for a long time and there isn't much option but to just let it burn out. This is why I gave the rating of 3 stars instead of anything higher. We do a great deal of travelling and this BBQ will be useful for the times we camp overnight and have time to allow the fire to go out. It isn't going to be as useful for day trips - which is really why we bought it in the first place. The charcoal lights easily so the ventilation obviously works well. We have had charcoal burners that are a nightmare to get going, even with fire-lighters.

Love it! Wish I could give it 5 stars.
I gave this to my husband as a gift, we used it the day he opened it as we were so excited!
It lights super quick (25mins) even on a windy day, the coals sit nice and low protecting them from the wind. Handles stay cool to touch, cooked food fantastic it got nice and hot and we cooked 12 sausages, 2 steaks and 2 potatoes sliced. It isn't as heavy as I thought it would be and I was suprised how much we were able to cook on it despite it being so little.
I loved that we could put the coals directly into the bottom and then take it with us, th...e tray and board are nice and big and it was so easy to clean since the racks all fit in my sink! I also didn't have any problems cleaning the enamel as others seemed to have. I had read that some people had issues with the orange enamel cracking so we were very careful not to use too many coals to ensure we didnt overheat it as I had read that this was the most likely cause. Well, despite our best efforts (using less than the coals recommended and lining with foil) after one use, we have cracking. Every bottom corner is cracked and some cracking on the bottom surface too. I'm devastated because we love it so much and my friends loved it too. I also have a hole in my board but that doesnt bother me as much. Photos are attached.

Want to love it but can’t
My wife and I bought a cube. I have to say it’s great across three areas: it looks cool; cooks food great; and It’s portable....But... if you like your charcoal cooking then you probably have a few Weber’s (big and small) hanging around. Well the cube isn’t any match. We’re actually on our second cube. Our first one malfunctioned with 4 cooks - the enamel in the fire box (yes the nice orange enamel) burnt, cracked and flaked off. I emailed evendure and to their credit, they didn’t hesitate to give me a code for a refund or a replacement. So......I went back to the store I bought it from and got a replacement. Within 4 or 5 cooks the same thing happened again! I’m frustrated because I really like the idea and the features of the cube, but it makes no sense to manufactures a bbq that can’t handle heat. I’ll stick with my cube resigned to the fact that it looks cool, is expensive and won’t last too long.

Super little powerhouse BBQ!!!
I was gifted this little powerhouse from my wife as an anniversary present last year and I can honestly say it's suberb! I cook on it at least 2-3 times a week. So quick to light up and get to temp. cleaning can be easy however I go struggle to get the orange rim clean, with that said I would still give it 5 stars! I would love to see a smoker that would fit on top of the cube, make it happen guys

At least it's not round.
Had my cube a few years now. Not sure how others melt the rubber feet. I've had no problems and I sit mine on top of the plastic lid with the board on it. Guessing they must be placing the charcoal tray directly on the bottom of the cube instead of sitting it on the 4 stud's poking out the sides.
I use mine virtually every week, sometimes more. I do think they missed the boat with the plastic storage and board though. Would rather it was made out of metal so you can place it directly on after you have finished. It would suffocate the charcoal v...

wheres the charcoal go
On the black tray or on top of first grill?
Confused by instructions and want to make certain I do the correct way. Sorry to sound confused hopefully help soon. Thx

After taking this little grill out of its box, first impression is wow how small this is. But when set up (which only takes a couple of minutes), some lump charcoal lit with a couple of fire lighters, about 20 minutes later I had some good heat coming off. I was not expecting how quickly this little grill cooked meat. For its size it packs a punch, and is very mobile. I recommend this grill, particularly if you like camping, going on day trips or even for just a quick setup grill for home.

All looks good on the box, after a single use, and following the recommendations of lining with foil, melted feet and cracks/flaking of the lining. Its a shame as it looks nice and cooked food well.

Extremely happy with this purchase
Was looking for a portable Charcoal Grill, I have never used one before but love a steak ( rib eye bone in ) cooked on coals. The cube was everything I was looking for- portable and enough space to cook two big ribeyes. Took 2 min to light 16 brickettes with a natural fire lighter ( Samba Natural Firelighters and store-bought charcoal brickettets )
It took about 15 -20 min to get to heat- ambers glowing with no assistance or fiddling . 1 kg of meat - cooking time was 15 min ( turning every two ) with some added wood chips for flavour.

Doesn't do what it says on the tin
Disappointed, first use and I have come to clean it and the inside base enamel has flaked off. Cannot imagine it lasting more than a year after it starts to corrode. I have sent a complaint to the manufacturer and after 4 days still awaiting a response. No doubt I will have to call them
For a refund. Not impressed.
Questions & Answers
Hi guys, how do you know what bench tops will withstand the heat of the everdure? If I was to get a piece of timber would that suffice? I used my cube on grass (I wasn't aware I couldnt) and it left a big black square of black burned grass. Just worried about which tables etc are okay to use it on?
Everdure by Heston Blumenthal
Good afternoon Nicole, thanks for your enquiry, it is recommended that the surface be able to withstand 80 degrees plus the ambient temperature eg. if weather is 20 degrees surface must be able to handle 100 degrees. if we can assist you further please give us a call on 1300 739 033.

How much smoke does this produce. I don't want to smoke out my neighbours balcony

Has anyone else had trouble with the Tan pvc straps peeling on their Everdure Cube bag, Everdure asked for photos which I supplied to no avail, surely a $150 bag should last longer. Looks like no warranty for this happening.
