The Everdure Force 2 is a great barbecue but unfortunately doesn't do the main thing I bought it for, slow cooking joints of meat. I need a temperature of 110-130 C, but even using just one burner at the lowest setting the temperature soon climbed to 180-200 C. This is in Tasmania in March, temperature 15 C. So, it's back to my Bosch oven to complete the process. Disappointing ! Show details
Rostisserie is awful but bbq itself is great – Love the BBQ and it really does cook well. Heats up quickly….but the rotisserie is absolute rubbish. Very poor design. It’s so difficult to baste meat over the very large glass. It’s way too easy to burn yourself when removing rod with meat on it. It’s a very expensive attachment that will now just sit in our garage. So disappointed Show details
No customer service – Don't ever try to get parts for any Everdure bbq. They will not answer any emails or phone calls. Tried contacting that Heston bloke. No replies. Musn't think too much of his product. Try any other brand. Show details

those who have discerning taste. R.R.P $1,099.00 AUD.
First impression, it was immediately obvious to me that a great deal of thought and attention to detail has gone into designing & creating this stunning BBQ & it’s most certainly a solid sturdy, quality product.
The Force 2 burner gas BBQ body is made from die cast aluminium which will not rust! Now, that’s impressive & I consider this to be highly important, after all nobody wants their BBQ ruined by rust. Definitely a game changer!
The stand/cart is included (not an optional extra) & has 2 caster wheels on one side, which are lockable & 2 legs opposite side.
The Force is also designed for portability & can be removed from its stand/cart, & placed on to a table etc making it easy for transportation for holidaymakers & camping. This is definitely an added bonus.
The BBQ suits the 9 kilo BBQ gas bottle & anything smaller did not have a compatible fitting. The gas bottle that I purchased, lasted around 3 weeks & that was cooking on the BBQ 3-4 times a week minimum.
Another very cool feature is that the Force 2 BBQ includes a black mesh drawstring bag that allows you to fit the gas bottle into, and is much more atheistically pleasing than the ugly bottle hanging from the BBQ.
The BBQ ignition is automatic, & works in the same manner as my kitchen gas hot plate, by pressing down on the burner control knob and turning it, then you’ll hear the clicking sound of the igniter & it’s lit.
The unique design feature of the enamel coated cast iron grill plate, incorporating a flame tamer by having a solid area of the grill plate, directly covering where the gas burner is situated underneath, which helps to prevent flare up’s & fat etc dripping into the stainless steel gas burners is something that I haven’t seen before in a gas BBQ. The 2nd BBQ plate is a flat top, griddle. Apparently the design of the gas burner’s also makes it more fuel efficient compared with other gas BBQ’s on the market, which I believe is really important.
Both the grill plate & griddle (flat plate) sit beautifully side by side & are sturdy, easy to place on to the BBQ and lift to remove. They are fairly easy to clean most of the time, depending on the type of food you are cooking. Occasionally if cooking foods directly on the grill plate or griddle that have marinade or dry rub, they may require a little time soaking in hot soapy water because the herbs, spices etc can still stick even when oil has been used. But even then, cleaning is not difficult and the use of a dishwashing brush, works perfectly for removing any stubborn foodstuffs.
The temperature gauge works great which is attached to the front of the BBQ hood.
Closing the hood, and waiting until the optimal temperature is reached (200-300C) usually takes between 3-5 minutes. The BBQ is then ready to cook on. Adjust the heat setting as required.
Before cooking each time, be sure to season the BBQ grill plate’s well, to help prevent food from sticking.
It’s important to know that you should not allow the BBQ to exceed the 5 minutes maximum time with both of the gas burner’s on high.
There is vent situated at the back of the hood that allows the airflow circulation for optimal convection cooking.
Underneath the BBQ there’s a slide out removable drip tray which is aluminium foil and replacements are available to purchase from stores that sell the Everdure Force BBQ’s.
The Force offers a spacious cooking interior and the exterior size is compact enough for smaller area’s such as courtyards and balconies. On the left, the stand/cart has a drop down side ledge to allow for the BBQ to fit into tighter spaces, which is another great design feature! The opposite side is fixed & has the gas control knobs.
Cooking capacity guide: Cooking capacity 2358cm2 24 small burgers. 10 medium steaks. 2 large chickens.
By cooking using the indirect heat method, the Everdure Force becomes a convection oven when cooking with the lid closed. You can use this method to cook low & slow BBQ as well.
An absolute joy to cook on! Perfect flame grilled sear on steaks, burgers, chops etc has been achieved each & every time cooking on the open grill plate as well as perfect searing using the flat top griddle plate, locking in the juices and flavours.
I’ve especially been loving the convection method of cooking, roasting etc. It’s much easier to clean the Force BBQ than it is cleaning the electric kitchen oven after roasting.
Another point to consider is during the really hot days/evenings in summer I don’t particularly like cooking anything in the kitchen oven because it makes the house so hot, even when the reverse cycle air conditioning is running. So this BBQ is certainly going to be getting a good workout throughout the summer. I usually cook on a BBQ at least two days a week minimum.
The Everdure Force… Honestly better & faster than any other gas BBQ I’ve cooked with so far.
I’m very interested in the Everdure by Heston Blumenthal Gas Rotisserie Kit accessory that’s available for cooking spit roasts!! This would be a fantastic addition to the Force BBQ! I saw an Everdure demonstration video & love the idea of rotisserie cooking on the Force BBQ. Great for cooking Greek Yiros (Souvlaki) Lamb!
There’s a great selection of accessories available including the following:
BBQ Cover. Aluminium Foil Drip Trays. Meat Rack. Roasting Rack. Warming Rack. BBQ Tool Kit. Apron. Organic BBQ Cleaning Paste. Grill Plate/Griddle Plate. Heat Resistant Silicone glove. Spit-Roasting Gas Rotisserie Kit. Mobile Prepping Station.
I have been thoroughly testing the Everdure by Heston Blumenthal - Force 2 burner Gas BBQ, over a period of several weeks between the months of November to December. Cooking a variety of foods, different recipes, from a simple BBQ of chops & sausages to delicious juicy succulent roasts, melt in the mouth tender juicy steaks, homemade pizzas, & homemade bread & buns, Greek Yiros, Salmon, jacket potatoes, for family and friends.

Overall a nice barbecue, but wasn't without its challenges – For a 2 burner barbecue, the Everdure FORCE is on the large size. If you’re going to purchase this barbecue and pick it up, you’ll need a station wagon or a big hatchback. The box is really big. Unpacking the Everdure is a 2 person job. There is a LOT of polystyrene foam to deal with, and getting everything out of the box is awkward. Assembly… Read more
can be done with 1 person, but would be a lot easier with 2 people. Having some idea of how things are constructed is really helpful, as the assembly documentation that is supplied is ambiguous, poorly worded, and the diagrams are disproportionate and unclear, to the point you feel like you need a magnifying glass to work out the difference between two parts.
Initially I felt as though the quality of the barbecue was quite good. The main body feels solid and well constructed. The trolley and legs however, feel a bit flimsy, with myriad plastic components making up the bulk of the trolleys construction. I will personally be purchasing a protective cover, as I feel the abundant use of plastic will not age well, and likely reduce the lifespan of the trolley.
While putting the barbecue together, you need to detach the main body from the upper part of the trolley, as these arrive preassembled. Upon undoing the securing bolts, I discovered 2 of the 4 spacers were cracked in half. Given how much polystyrene foam packaging surrounds this barbecue, this was a bit confusing. I decided to continue assembly of the barbecue trolley, and contacted the supplier for replacement spacers. While I’m sure that it would be perfectly fine to use the broken spacers given that there is a stainless steel bracket that surrounds the spacer, a $1000 barbecue really shouldn’t be arriving with broken components.
I initially contacted spare parts by the online “contact us” section on the site, to which I received no reply. I then called the supplier, “Shriro” and spoke to a representative who instructed me to email directly, and supplied me with the direct email for customer service. After emailing, I received an auto reply to let me know the email has been received. 2 weeks later and I still hadn’t received an actual response, so I emailed again. In the mean time I have been using the barbecue in its table top configuration, which is super helpful if you don’t have the space for the trolley, which does have a considerable footprint. Finally spare parts arrived, however the wrong parts were sent out. I emailed again, and requested the correct spare parts be sent out. This time the email reply was signed, so I called the customer service number and asked to speak to that representative. They were very helpful on the phone and explained that there were different spacers for different markets, and confirmed that the correct parts will be sent out. I’m still waiting for these to arrive. I am surprised that the initial responder didn’t check which parts were required. Over all, the after sale support I’ve experienced for this barbecue has been quite poor. I’ve had to contact Weber before for spare parts, and that was a straight forward process. My other barbecue which was an IKEA gas barbecue has been absolutely flawless.
Using the Everdure FORCE is a similar experience to most other barbecues. They take a little time get used to how they work. There will be quirks and differences with all barbecues. I do appreciate how quick this unit heats up, and how even the heat distribution is. There aren’t any noticeable hot spots, although those can appear with time. The design of the grill and hotplate work quite well, although if you are cooking fatty foods on the hotplate side you’ll need to scrape the excess fat over to the drain side. Oddly enough, when the barbecue is placed on a completely level surface, the hotplate is also completely level. Excess oil doesn’t drain away like on every other barbecue I’ve used.
One of the most annoying issues I’ve experienced with daily use, is that the left side burner is incredibly difficult to start. After 5-10 clicks of the igniter, it’ll finally start. The right side burner starts within a couple of tries, so it’s often easier to start the RHS burner and then let that ignite the LHS burner. For a barbecue at this price point, that is definitely an issue. My IKEA barbecue still starts on the first or second click after 6 years of use.
Once cooking, this barbecue is a pleasure to use. The cooking area is huge, and functional. The servers on the side are sturdy and useful. Temperature adjustment is easy and relatively intuitive. You’ll generally be able to hit just the right level of heat you need. Food releases well from the grill and hotplate, even if cooking sticky marinated kebabs.
Cleaning up is simple. I tend to scrape excess mess from the plates after cooking, while it is still warm. Every other use, I’ll take the grill plate inside and clean it with a plastic brush and hot water. This works perfectly, and keeps the plates seasoned and ready for cooking. I am looking forward to cooking more and more on this barbecue. It is growing on me despite the issues I’ve experienced, and I can’t wait to try a pizza stone in there. It really does heat up very quickly, and gets very hot. Perfect for pizza.
It is a shame that this barbecue has been let down by a few issues that could quite conceivably be fixed with a few minor changes, and a significant improvement in after sales support.

Cooks as good as it looks – We have been using the Heston Blumenthal Force for 1-2 months now, we have been really impressed with this bbq. It's a reasonably compact 2 burner bbq that's pleasing on the eye. During our time with it we have enjoyed grilling and roasting, it's been a nice versatile bbq. The bbq comes semi assembled in the large box so doesn't require too… Read more
much assembly, I was able to assemble myself and it took about 90 mins to 2 hours but I'd recommend you have someone help with lifting the bbq onto the frame to line up the holes. I appreciated the inclusion of some stickers on the legs telling you which was for where and the arrows pointing to where the hidden screws were. The nice black gas bottle cover is a welcome addition to that just add to the nice appearance of the Force.
The end result is a nice sturdy bbq, the frame itself is light weight consisting of plastic and aluminum. I really like the clever use of the plastic storage tray down the bottom that acts as a way to brace the frame together while providing somewhere to store foil, paper towel etc. Now the bbq can be taken off the frame to become portable as the base of the bbq has little legs attached that are not in view when mounted on the stand. This does make it viable to use if traveling etc but personally I think you'd only want to be doing it occasionally as you still do need to undo the 4 bolts fixing the bbq to the frame so it's not a quick 30 second job.
Now coming from a Weber I really appreciate the strong metal sides on the Force 2, you can actually sit a tray full of meat on the left hand side without being worried about it buckling to the weight and sending your tray tumbling. The left hand side is also a spring loaded hinge and folds down for storage or transportation purposes. I really like the lid, it's got these well built sturdy hinges, a benefit I found was not having to open the lid the fully for the lid to stay upright, It would remain up at about 60 degrees elevation which as I have the bbq up against a well meant I could be a little tighter to the wall without worrying about the lid hitting the wall. The lid is also a nice and deep which is great for cooking roasts.
The Force heats up quick! I timed it and with both burners fully on it took only 3 mins and 50 seconds to heat up to 200c from a cold bbq and it was a brisk 14 degrees outside too. The ignition fires both burners up easily. I had no issues hitting and maintaining temperature in fact the Force took a little to get used to as often I struggle to maintain heat in the Webber but this bbq is more a case of not letting the temp get out of hand, in fact it held temp easily with just a single burner going. The burners are quite close to the grill but the flame tamers are well placed to avoid the burning your food from being too close to the burners. No complaints with the cooking, it handled everything we threw at it from simple sausages, corn cobs, grilled veggies, marinated ribs, lamb rumps, roasted lamb shoulder.
The Force is easy enough to clean, there is plenty of room to wipe around the burners under the grills when the plates are removed. The plates themselves are enamel coated cast iron which means they wash up quite well in warm soapy water, so it was often easier to wait for the plates to cool and then remove and wash in the sink we found. Overall I really have no complaints with the Force and I would recommend it to those interested. Now in case like me you weren't aware but from earlier this year all new bbqs have to be sold with a new type of hose connection, this meant that none of my 4 bottles had the right valve to fit the hose connection from the bbq, a trip to a swap and go was required where they have bottles with the new cylinder valve

Attractive, Versatile, Fabulous BBQ – Although it is hard to tell, the Summer is finally with us. The time for your favourite meal cooked on the BBQ. As a BBQ lover I have owned a number of them, the last being the popular Weber Q. So I was curious to find out how the FORCE will perform. Although I don't intend to compare the two, some comparison will be inevitable though. BIG… Read more
ARRIVAL The BBQ arrived in a big, heavy box. The carefully packaged BBQ was not easy for one person to remove from the box, mainly due to its weight. So call someone to help you unpack. The task was made even more difficult because for some strange reason the top of the BBQ and the chassis are packed screwed together only to be unscrewed later during assembly!
ASSEMBLY I found the assembly a daunting task primarily because of complex and not quite clear instruction manual. I wonder why so often the manufacturers let customers down by producing confusing manuals. The art of producing user friendly instructions is for the writer/s to step into the shoes of not technically minded consumer and write the manual with this in mind. Another frustrating thing adding to assembly time of hour and a half! was that all screws of different sizes and other stuff required for assembly, were lumped together in one bag. Although these are pictured in the manual it is often difficult to distinguish different sizes of screws. The task would, of course, be infinitely easier if the different sizes of screws were in different, clearly labeled packages. Once removed from the box, one has to disassemble the top from the chassis to be able to attach four legs to the chassis. This is relatively an easy operation. As the pre-drilling was precise the attachment of legs was easy (providing that you use the correct size screws.) The attachment of rods supporting the large plastic tray was little bit trickier mainly due to not very clear instructions. Anyway, when assembled, the beauty of the beast is revealed.
DESIGN and MATERIALS This BBQ is clearly a statement of art. Beats Weber hands down. It stands on four shiny brushed alloy legs two of which have castors with little brakes. The BBQ stands at 1068 cm height which is just about perfect for an average size adult. The size of the plastic tray is great for storing your BBQ implements and a fire extinguisher. The plastic base is elegant and houses a beautiful body featuring the hood and side trays. My hood is attractive black, but one may be able to select from a range of fashionable colours. A thoughtful part of the BBQ is a special sac housing the gas bottle. The FORCE supplies non-stick cast iron grill plate and cast iron plate which make cleaning much easier. The gill plate features integrated flame tamers which sit exactly above the stainless steel burners. They have dual function: preventing flare ups and preventing fat dripping on the burners. I must say that during my cooking I never experienced flare ups unlike cooking on Weber. The plates provide reasonably big cooking area of 2358cm2. It is big enough to cook two large chickens which is great. Now the hood is made from die cast aluminium coated with UV rated gloss paint which again makes it easy to clean. The hood incorporates a thermometer which is a must for good cooking. While the handle of the hood remains warm during cooking, the two pieces of material attaching the handle to the hood are very hot and thus caution must be exercised not to touch them. At the back of the hood is a larger opening which, it is claimed, creates hot air circulation and turns the BBQ into a convection oven. That is a clever engineering, I must say. However, I had no chance to testify to its effectiveness. What I did notice, however, was that during my cooking with the hood closed, there was very little smoke inside the cooking area. That contrasts sharply with the Weber. I believe that the smoke adds the flavour to the dish. Although not big, the two side tables are of sufficient size to accommodate couple of plates. Another clever feature is that they stay warm and thus you may keep your cooked dishes on them until ready to serve. The left table is collapsible so that you create a smaller width od the BBQ (width with the left table up is 1175cm.) The right table incorporates two chromed and elegant knobs controlling the flow of gas. I think that the front view of the BBQ would be enhanced if the wires under the knobs were enclosed and not visible as is the case. Not a big deal though.
VERSATILITY The versatility is another welcome thing here. The BBQ can be used in three different ways: a) on its four legs; b) table top position sitting on its chassis; and c) table to position sitting on its body. Great feature indeed!!
OUTSTANDING FEATURE This is a very efficient and hot BBQ. It reaches the 250C temperature in remarkable five minutes on a warm day. And in about seven minutes on a cool day. This is due to the burners positioned relatively close to the plates. The temperature is easily controlled by the knobs. I found that it was often enough to warm to BBQ for five minutes and then use only one burner.
CLEANING Unlike other products including Weber, cleaning of FORCE is easy due to the materials and a special coating inside the hood. The use od abrasive cleaning products or wire brushes is not recommended. Suffice to use soft microfibre cloth and warm soapy water to get off the residue from cooking. I used mild dish cleaner with great result. Well done! The life and beauty of this product will no doubt be prolonged by a special cover which I purchased for $65. See photo.
COOKING I barbecued the steak, the chicken, marinated chicken, potatoes and the hamburgers on the FORCE. In all cases the end results were most satisfactory, producing tender and juicy dishes. All dishes were cooked with the lid closed.
1. Porterhouse steak. This is my favoured meat. I cooked a cut 3.5cm thick. Cooking on two burners was done on a warm, 21C day. It took me two attempts to ignite the burners (same for other cooking.) After five minutes of preheating to 250C I put the steak on the grill plate. I had to turn down the heat to maintain the desired 220-250C. After 10 minutes the medium-rare steak was ready to rest. Beautifully juicy, cooked to perfection, as the enclosed photo shows. GREAT RESULT.
2. Marinated chicken. BBQ preheated for five minutes. Marinated chicken was cooked on the plate with one burner on for 20 minutes on each side. As with every marinated food, the burned marinate left a heavy residue on the plate. It is possible that I cooked it on temperature which was too high. Still, the meat was reasonably juicy and tender. Photo enclosed.
3. Whole chicken I love barbecued chicken as the skin is usually crisp. I cooked the bird on a 23C, windy day. After pre-heating the BBQ for five minutes I put the chicken on an elevated tray wrapped in an aluminium foil to allow air circulation. I had to turn dow the temperature to about 150C. The cooking was finished in 1hr15min. The chicken was beautifully tender and retained its moisture. The skin was not crisp however. Photo enclosed.
4. Hamburgers Cooked on pre-heated plate for about 10 minutes. The end result was very juicy, great tasting meat.Photo enclosed.
5. Potatoes These were cooked on a hot plate and later placed on an aluminium foil with the chicken. Very satisfactory result.
SUMMARY The Everdure by Heston Blumenthal is a testimony to great engineering. No wonder it has won several design awards as it is a statement of art standing head and shoulder above its competitors. It is an expensive product but you don't worry to pay for something that is outstanding. The instruction manual leaves much to be desired. For a non-technically minded person it is confusing and thus not very helpful. Although the instruction manual lists under page 22 Warranty, this page is blank!! Cooking is easy and great results will be obtained with a bit of practice. This is an excellent product rightly up there with the best. I have deducted one star because of poor instruction manual and dangerously hot rods attaching the handle to the hood. I declare that I wrote this review as a member of the Ambassadors’ Programme which allowed me to keep the product.

May the FORCE 2 burner be with you - I LOVE IT! – Everdure Force 2 Burner Furnace by Heston Blumenthal My Observations: 1. Weight warning this product, at 29kgs is a 2- person lift (anyone lifting should be assessed for individual lifting capabilities). 2. Packaging - expertly packed together to prevent damage during transit (but lots of cardboard and plastic wraps to discard). 3. Assembly –… Read more
don’t try it alone! My husband rendered lots of assistance, we found this is absolutely a two-person task (expert may only need help to lift ). A mechanically minded person able to read/decipher instructions quickly will take less time but count on it taking 1-2 hrs to assemble. We found the instructions (instruction booklet a bit ambiguous /unclear). Recommend building BBQ well in advance of desired use day & enlist help. Aligning some of the parts of the stand assembly, detaching the hood & barbeque to allow the stand to be put together presented a few minor delays and irritations other than that, assembly went smoothly (Airtasker have plenty of people who specialise in assembly if it’s beyond your capabilities). Don’t forget to wash the grill plates before use 4. Sleek looking BBQ, really cool colour range to choose from: Black, Graphite, Mint, Orange, and Stone. We got the very easy to live with beige ‘Stone’ a good neutral not too yellow or too grey. This incredibly good-looking BBQ looks great in our outdoor area space, the wheels on one end make it a breeze to reposition …just can’t wait to show it off! 5. Oil drip tray the Force comes with one Everdure brand aluminium liner size: 304mm x 200mm (my supermarket variety wouldn’t fit but you may be able to Improvise (I carefully lined mine with foil then replaced it), consider advance purchase of Everdure Force pack of 10 costs around $30 from a BBQ retailer. The drip tray itself is easily extracted from under the grill plates on the left side. Crouch down on left side to see where it’s located first time, it simply slides out and back in. 6. ULPG connection – we hired a Swap’N’Go bottle as our slightly older current bottle didn’t have the correct connection. The new hire bottle sits very securely in the cylinder mounting hook within the black mesh (which covers the unattractive gas bottle perfectly). It was a journey of discovery to find out why the connection of our gas bottle wouldn’t fit the Force BBQ (the instruction manual didn’t cover this in any detail or in terms we could simply understand). A visit by my husband to Bunnings n the revealed fittings have reversed what was they previously were and there’s no adaptor available (previously female fittings were on gas bottles, the BBQ/appliance had a male fitting), now the gas bottles have male fittings with the female fixing is on the BBQ/appliance). People with older gas bottles will need to buy or hire a new bottle that’s the only solution. 7. Heats quickly & Self-Ignition works brilliantly, with a rotary ignition system built into the gas valves, accessed by using the built-in control knobs press down and turn anti clockwise… no need for lighters. FORCE Heats up quickly due to the burners being closer to the grates as the flame tamers are incorporated into the grill plates. 8. Suggested viewing https://everdurebyheston.com.au/support/force/ Heston talks about the way the design protects the burners from getting clogged by oil or food spills - there are cleverly placed solid strips above the burners on the open grills to prevent spills onto the burners below. I did experience a decernable difference between The FORCE BBQ and others I’ve used including Webber, Baby Q and other brands this allows optimum cooking options due to higher temperature range, increased charring & grilling to perfection was easy with such easily adjustable controls. There are many videos to view on the Everdure website including those specific to roasting I recommend viewing those, perhaps you like myself may consider adding the roasting rack to your Christmas gift suggestions at $39.95 it would be a lot easier to clean this afterwards than the oven and you can enjoy the outdoors with your guests while it cooks https://everdurebyheston.com.au/product/roasting-rack/ 9. Everdure Force 2 next to our Baby Q – so I could give an idea of size comparison and show how sleek the Force 2 is when compared I’ve photographed the two together. Our BBQ lives under cover in our courtyard area so hasn’t always been covered by a BBQ cover (although I’ve now read it will extend the life of the BBQ due to wear and tear and weather conditions so I’m considering purchasing a cover which are available at most BBQ stores at around $70 RRP) and with the recent spider activity it will reduce the amount of cleaning required before using and hopefully prevent insects from blocking the gas connections. I cooked three different recipes on my BBQ so I could review against what I’ve cooked previously - they all worked out wonderfully well. My dishes consisted of easy to cook simple mid-week style foods: Medium seared rump steak served with pear salad, Marinated Char-grilled vegetables with asparagus, Marinated Pork Spare ribs served with charred mango butt cheeks (see photos attached). I’ve discovered a number of wonderful recipes to cook on the Everdure website during my research to put this review together there are so many delicious recipes to use for all levels from beginners to advanced cooks https://everdurebyheston.com.au/recipe/ I suggest you take a good look at these – I know I’ll be trying many of these mouth-watering offerings very soon. 10. Clean up I found very easy after leaving the BBQ to cool down (best if not cold) an initial light scrape with a blunt instrument (I used a wooden scraper anything non-abrasive is recommended). I took the grill plates inside to soak in hot soapy water in my sink (where they just fit snugly) for a while before I cleaned them with a plastic brush ($2 from Kmart) being careful not to scratch the non-stick surface (baking soda on a wet sponge is also suggested). When each of the grill plates was clean, I simply wiped off any splatters from the surrounds of the BBQ including the inside of the lid with a damp soapy cloth then rinsed and checked the oil drip tray which had nothing in it (my dishes weren't that oily). Replace the grill plates and your ready for the next BBQ. The FORCE being such a streamlined design doesn’t require as much cleaning as does my weber for example where all the black metal trims become a trap for cobwebs and dust. Seasonal & each use maintenance procedures are covered in detail within the instruction booklet and this all makes good sense.
Overall, I would give the FORCE 2 Burner the thumbs up – Love it! in my BBQ experience this is by far the best I’ve used. The size is great for an average family (the grills accommodate a large amount of food to be cooked at one time) and with a little more time on your hands you can offer delicious roasts to cater for much larger crowds. I will probably purchase a couple of accessories to use with the FORCE and they have a number of Harvery Norman stores and BBQ retailers who can assist you to buy or you can purchase online: customercare@shriro.com.au Can’t wait to cook some seafood to tantalise the taste buds over the festive season. Thanks for reading, I hope this review will assist you – please feel free to ask me any questions and I’ll do my best to assist…. May the FORCE 2 Burner be with you too :)

Looks great and well designed, but let down by poor build quality – Undoubtedly a good looking BBQ. Got a two burner, ideal for apartment living. burner controls corroded and has completely jammed, rendering half the BBQ plate unusable and potentially dangerous to use. No more grilling for me.
Two months after notifying the official service agent for a repair, I have had the technician cancel twice: 1. "sorry, need a part which is on back-order", and 2. "the technician has called in sick today" - I guess they only have one guy. Dog ate my homework type excuses. Various phone calls, texts, emails - am still waiting for a repair. I offered to pay for a service call, but they provide them free under warranty which would be good, if the tech ever actually arrived. (Update: Tech has now arrived and did a good job!)
I live in Manly NSW, the BBQ is kept outside under cover on a balcony, but hasn't been able to be used the past 2 months due to above issues. I therefore thought I would not buy another - but (update!) now it’s repaired I can recommend the Everdure Force 2 burner. Updated Dec 2022
Good Looking BBQ – Sep 2025: I originally gave this four stars, but I’m finally updating this review to reflect its current worth. even worth the trouble, because the BBQ quality overall is just unsatisfactory. Every-time we move it out of the rain the flimsy legs wobble under the weight which is atrocious as it doesn’t rain much where I live now, so it isn’t moved too often. We are just waiting for them to give way, so it’s going in the council rubbish pick up collection. I wouldn’t even give this away for free. Awful model. Don’t get sucked in by the name.
Original Post: Food cooks evenly on the BBQ and it is easy enough to clean. Due to the small size of the cooking area, wind does affect the flame, however it doesn’t go out. We have ours sheltered under the patio. It would also be nice if it came with a cover to protect the paint from fading. My biggest complaint is the two small screws going up the centre of the sides of the long handle (on the hood). They keep working loose so the handle just can’t take the weight of the hood. Doesn’t matter how many times we tighten it. The screws on the hinges have also gone rusty. For a $1000 BBQ that’s pretty disappointing (took off a star). Never had that issue on my cheaper Webber. They really need to look at upgrading that feature. Other than that it’s attractive bbq but you are really paying for the name. Personally I wouldn’t spend this much again on a bbq this size.

Concerned before purchasing – I’m interested in buying this bbq, but sooo many reviews say the paint blisters after use. Has this been rectified in newer models? Can the company comment on this at all? Thanks!

The Perfect BBQ for my Needs – BBQ is compact and beautifully designed. There were no cold spots when cooking. BBQ preheats fast and evenly. The two burners were perfect for my small family. Friends and family complimented on how great it looks. BBQ was also easy to clean as well. Show details · 1
Very Happy – Ideal BBQ for my courtyard home - sturdy unit (cart and grill / hotplate / burners) but still easy to move around; not too big but still able to cook for a reasonable crowd. Heats up quick and evenly & able to sear meat well. Cleaning is the easiest of any BBQ I have had. Assembly was straightforward - no specials skills required just read the… Read more · 1
instructions and patience. Can lift the cooking unit off the cart and use as a portable BBQ but needs two people for easy carry & a decent car boot size to transport. Very happy with my purchase.
Lives up to its high reputation – Bought this bbq after some research and no regrets. Delivers high temperatures for a good sear and is an ample size to cook for a crowd. Economical on gas, heats up quickly and easy to clean. A very satisfied purchaser. Show details · 1
Great Barbeque – Good service from the customer care team - any issues (minor) have been jumped on. Great service from Leah at sales support. With the difficulties in the world this past year, accessories have not been easy to come by, and Leah has been very helpful throughout. Show details · 1
Excellent BBQ – Best BBQ I've ever had. Only disappointment is that paint seal under burners has blistered and is peeling off. BBQ is less than 12 months old. Is this to be expected. Show details · 1
Great BBQ shame about the warranty! – Bought the Force BBQ Sept 2017 - careful owner, low use as only small family. Now the burners will only stay on high - so you cant reduce the cooking temp. We have now found out that the 5 year warranty we were sold it on only covers the aluminium components of the BBQ - the rest has a 2 year warranty. Bit poor for such a premium item… Read more · 6
interestingly Weber offer 5 years on all components on their BBQs - might be worth thinking about. Waiting to hear back from Everdure as to how they can help us.
Just brilliant! Works as good as it looks! – I was a little hesitant to take on this new beast being so set in my ways on the Weber. We saw it on display in the showroom and it’s design alone was love at first sight for my wife. Easy to assemble, we added the cover and roast rack (another brand) but same type shown in Hestons video. As convection roasts go, it couldn’t be better. Lid down,… Read more · 3
No direct heat under burner 1 and meat there on the elevated rack off the grill. A tray of veg on burner three and flame here up pretty high. We put the veg in an oven proof dish veg on baking paper, drizzled with olive oil. We’re addicted. Simply awesome.
1st use...paint rubs off – Now don’t get me wrong this is by far a great-looking bbq BUT i am getting it ready for 1st use for tomorrow (new year) as we have friends coming over. To my horror the paint on the front is coming off while cleaning a little bit of oil that splashed on it. Now dont tell me this part is not supposed to have oil - it is a bbq. have this replaced? One annoying thing with the bbq is the fact that the wheels have a mind of their own.

Good looking BBQ but the official cover has damaged the enamel top – Purchased this BBQ three weeks ago. Went to use for first time today and removed the Heston official cover. The official cover has left permanent marks removing the matt finish all over the hood of the BBQ. Looks like a crumpled sheet. We have had a 38 degree day recently and it appears that the cover is not suitable for our Melbourne weather. Very disappointing as its ruined the look of a good looking BBQ. Show details

Fantastic BBQ – Bought a Force BBQ in Stone 2 weeks ago and totally love it. Apart from the fact that its an object of beauty and well designed, it also works perfectly. Initially I was disappointed that it didn't come with a cover, however there is currently a promotion for a $100 voucher which covered this cost easily and was very simple to redeem online. Sweet! Love it already – I bought my Force two days ago and it has satisfied my expectations. This is my first BBQ. It was very easy to put together and extremely easy to clean. Gets hot very quickly and doesn't seem to have any cold spots. I cooked some sausages and steaks last night on the grill plate, the steaks retained their juiciness and the sausages cooked much… Read more · 1
quicker than in a frying pan. The slight smokiness was great and I can't wait to try cooking with the hood down and adding some smoking chips.
The only possible revisions I could suggest to Everdure are to enlarge and rubberise the wheels so it moves over paving a little easier, and to enlarge the left servery which is just too small to hold anything useful.
Total disappointment – I rarely publish poor reviews but have been so underwhelmed and disappointed since purchasing this BBQ from BBQ Galore in Camperdown that I have to share my experience to maybe save anyone else from going through the same problem. I purchased the BBQ in dec 2018 and did not receive it until feb 2019 - 2 months after paying in full for it. The… Read more
store and Everdure kept blaming each other for the mis-communication (I was told there would be a delay of a couple of weeks as the colour was popular so they were out of stock). I was having gas plumbed in and would not have to pay much extra to connect the BBQ if it was done at the same time. I allowed 1 month (even though I was told 2 weeks) for the delivery so it could be done when my gas was done. It took longer than 2 months to receive it so I had to pay an extra $171 to get a plumber out again when it finally arrived. I didn't publish a bad review then even though I was not happy with the delay but if it was a good product I would have just put it behind me. I have only used it a couple of times since receiving it because it took so long to cook anything - I resorted to using my old BBQ (which was about 1/3 of the price). I finally decided to give it another go a couple of weeks ago and left it on at full power for 30minutes (with the lid down) and I could not get it hotter than 150ºC. That's when I realised there must be something wrong with it. I have registered the fault with Everdure a week ago but have had no response at all from them. Not sure if I have to wait another 2 months before a technician will even contact me. I have given 2 stars because it looks good, is easy to clean compared to other BBQs and they delivered for free due to the extended delay, but for cooking it is terrible - I've had to go back to my old BBQ or take food inside to do on the stove or oven.

Force bbq – Great bbq, we have a larger bbq but the Force heats up very quickly and is easy to use, it is kept under cover and look a treat. Great job Everdure, easy to keep clean and seems to still work well when it is windy Show details · 1
GREAT BBQ - EXCEPT – After much deliberation and weeks of homework we finally settled on the Everdure. We were and still are not disappointed. It heats up quickly and we use it a lot.Although i do have a couple of issues. The first one is lack of space to put things either side of the BBQ,have a table close by as their is simply no where to put anything. The second one is… Read more · 2
amazingly on top of the BBQ their are cooking instructions, warnings and diagrams around the knobs to show you which side of the grill you are using and whether you are on half flame or full flame, all of these instructions are now gone , after less than one month, they simply just wipe off and with just water. Now its all a guessing game.I intend to make contact with Everdure as i have not done so as yet.
Great BBQ. Simple to use. Easy to clean – Our previous BBQ was a Weber Spirit. The Everdure Force is easy to use and cook with and is easy to clean for this style of BBQ. We use our Force regularly for family meals. Unfortunately the coating on the surrounding deck has deteriorated. The decals have come off and the black powder coating has become dull and faded. We wash the cooking plates… Read more · 1
regularly after use and clean the exterior with soapy water. The BBQ is kept under its cover when not in use.
Great BBQ, first gas bbq I really enjoy cooking on – Simply it’s the first gas BBQ I’ve used that gets hot enough to cook effectively and not just be a novelty item for cooking outside. Everything coming off this bbq has been a winner with friends and family. The heat factor put it above the Weber q range and the design & build quality is better with the aluminium hood, and knob placement. It… Read more · 1
far exceeded the Ziegler’s I looked at with those dodgy clips holding your lid in place.
Cleaning isn’t bad, there’s nothing I enjoy cleaning but this is designed well, there’s nothing I’d suggest to change other than potentially 1cm more clearance between the burners and the bottom of the cook box to make it easier for my big hands. This is a very minor inconvenience though and something I could probably address with a few seconds thought.
One major word of warning if you buy the cleaning product (one was gifted to me free for claiming my $100 cash back offer).. it’ll probably get you hooked as it’s better than the other stuff I was using.
Look no further for a great bbq! – I bought this bbq based on the reviews here and the responses from customer service and I’m really glad I did. It not only looks good but it works perfectly. I used it for the first time today and everyone that came was impressed with its performance. I cooked 16 lamb loin chops on the grill plate and 18 sausages and 4 rissoles on the solid… Read more · 1

Followed the instructions about closing the lid initially until the barbecue got to temperature of 250° and then put the meat on to grill. It rendered the fat on the chops beautifully.
I would definitely recommend this barbecue especially if you’re considering a Weber which I was initially. This bbq has a much better design and is super easy to clean.
Steak to perfection – I love a BBQ, and I love a steak. After reading reviews I changed my mind from a Weber to the Force and I am happy. Steak with a beautiful char on the outside and rare in the middle. I have cooked chicken, chops, steak all to perfection. Easy to clean. Highly recommend. Show details · 1
Felt like Master Chef-Love it cooks Steaks to Perfection! – Have to say this BBQ cooks evenly so used to different sections over heating and burning but not the Force the fact that it heats up with in seconds is another bonus and you can tell a professional chef was involved in it's cooking features as I'm pretty sure it cooks better than my cooktop inside the house. I would definitely refer this brand to… Read more · 1

I can cook delicates like Prawns on one side while sausages are on the other side
So Easy to use clean and cook on very happy!
Love the fact it's on wheels comes with a lid and temperature gauge plus I bought the BBQ cover which goes all the way to the floor keeping it all clean and protected.
Best performing BBQ I ever owned to date! with small aesthetic defect – After doing my research I went into the shop wanting to buy a Weber Family Q yesterday afternoon. While waiting to be served, a BBQ caught my attention due to the clean lines. It was an Everdure by Heston Force. After seeing the product, feeling the built quality as well as doing some on the spot research, I felt confident Everdure by… Read more · 3
Heston Force tick all the boxes of Weber Family Q and more so purchased Everdure Force instead. The small premium is well worth it due to the built quality in my opinion. The metal bbq chassis and metal servery feels substantial and is superior to the plastic flaps on other products.
after getting Everdure Force home around 5 o’clock and putting it together (which was a breeze), everyone (4 of us) were seated and tucking into bbq lamb cutlets with salad and steamed veg by 7 due to the fast heating grill. Lamb cutlets had beautiful grill marks and didn’t stick at all and perfectly pink in the middle. Love it!
I am looking forward to trialing a few different recipes with Everdure Force when friends come over. I think they will be impressed with the built quality and the flavour the new kit can generate.
The only reason I haven’t given it a 5 Star is that while wiping down Everdure Force this morning, I noticed there were two areas on the top surface of bbq chassis, just before the folded left hand servery there were some blisters. All up around 10 sq cm of surface which should have been completely smooth, you can see and feel the blisters...
I am disappointed with this and wouldn’t have accepted the product had I noticed it on the spot. In fact I would have asked for a product swap had I not used it last night...
Make sure you check the product in well lit area/day light if you think this is going to annoy you....
Brilliant Barbecue – This is perfect, has precise heat control and looks very stylish. Lights first time This is a quality product. I cooked a perfect roast pork on my first attempt. Would certainly recommend. We have also ordered the cover and roasting rack with our $100 voucher which came with the force. Show details · 1
