The bbq has been repaired twice in less than two years, and now shorts the house electrics so completely useless. Three emails to the manufacturer with absolutely no response, not even an acknowledgment. Shocking. Do not waste your money. Show details
Absolute Garbage – Spent what I thought to be a reasonable amount of money for a spit rotisserie, developed a hop then a pause after about 3 cooks... Then 1 cook later I heard a buzz then a pop, something electrical obviously shorted out.. Response was to send a technician out to fix it, this was over 5 weeks from reported fault, used it 1st time since the fix and… Read more
the hop is back without the pause this time, after the cook went to retract the drive cylinder and it won't sit down flush, made contact 2 weeks ago and still waiting for a technician to book in a time, went to use it this arvo and low buzzing noise and no rotisserie... Absolute heap of garbage and not worth $5... BBQ's Galore (the retailer) will be hearing all this tomorrow with an expectation of a full refund of which I can then go buy something that works... DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ROTISSERIE....
Good while it lasted – Purchased in Dec 20 . Worked well for about six times before it shorted . Contacted the retailer who said that the supplier would have to look at it . Four months later, and only after attempting to post this review, I was contacted by the supplier , and had the same experience : someone was to call me to have a look at it but nothing after a… Read more
month of more reminders from me. In the end, this is a product with a serious fault and no actual after sale service.

Update December 2020 - First attempt, things I wish I'd known sooner – UPDATE December 2020. The rotisserie still has that annoying short pause during rotating that lasts about 2-3 seconds that burns the meat. The powder coating has bubbled in places from the heat. You really need a secure backing plate (reflector shield) on cooler days to assist with cooking. Even more preferred than this would be a full cover with… Read more
a vent.
I don't rate it as highly as when I first purchased it. Flashy Heston videos vs first hand experience, there are better value for money bbqs.
June 2020 review First time cooking. Pros: Solid and sturdy machine. Gorgeous design. Rotisserie big enough for a small pig. Cons: Rotisserie skewer is a challenge for one person to place larger pieces of meat on. The skewer can pop out during rotating if the meat isn't balanced (watch it close first time users). Lump charcoal is better than heat beads. A bit nervous using electrics and rain set in, under cover but ground was wet around the legs.

Excellent rotisserie – I'm really happy with this purchase. The meat comes out perfect every time and the taste is awesome using the heston charcoal. Easy ignition of the charcoal is a great and easy aspect of this bbq. Had an issue with one of the prongs, a simple call and a new one was sent out. Show details · 1

Do Not Buy - Terrible Rotisserie BBQ – Worst BBQ I have ever owned. Massive let down on brand and function For the extremely high price you pay. I can’t belive Heston has put his name on this product as it is massively embarrassing and is full of faults. The Hub did nothing but embarrass me on Xmas day by shorting out my house and left me with a large bill for last minute ring in… Read more
caterers. Had it fixed twice and is still shorting out. STOP PRODUCING THESE BBQs!! They are difficult to clean and putting electrics on an outdoor item is a massive mistake.l . Everdure should leave the Heston rubbish behind and bring back the E Churrasco which was gas and charcoal ignition. The e churrasco is the best bbq I have ever owned. SHAME on you Everdure ( actually Shriro) for distributing an item on brand name vs function. I’m extremely upset with the Heston Blumenthal Line of BBQs. Bring Back the E Churrasco. If you want a charcoal rotisserie go to Bunnings an you will see them for $400 with a 240v 40kg rated rotisserie . No difference at all and less headaches.
In short - hard to clean , over priced. Too heavy , over sized and hard to clean . A plethora of faults and really difficult staff from manufacturer to distributor to service departments and retail outlets . Lucky for Harvey Norman that we found resolution here!
Before buying please ask me questions as I will be happy inform you on BBQ advice. Stay away from the Heston Line

Exactly What I was looking for ! – We have spent months renovating our house which includes a brand new outdoor kitchen. I spent 12 months researching BBQ's looking for something that used charcoal for that extra taste. Because of my background I also love spit roasting and have been known to do a lamb/goat but also own a small Cypriot Spit ( sometimes called a souva). I had… Read more · 1
thought I was going to have to buy two pieces of equipment when I stumbled on the Hub. The moment I saw it I knew I had to have and proceed to watch all the videos and reviews. In the end my decision came down to the fact that in Australia they had an amazing support. They even have a representative company here and I specifically spoke to their in house chef about some of the things I was wanting to cook and if the Hub could handle it. Of course not only did I get the answers I wanted but the chef gave me ideas I hadn't thought of.
I purchased the Hub on Boxing day last year and have basically used it every second day since. My stand out cook is the Chicken souvoulaki using Heston's recipe( have a look at the vide). While this is cooking I also place on the grill some octopus. My family think my cooking has elevated but it is really the Hub. Plus no more lighting fires waiting a couple of hours to make some charcoal. So easy to get the white charcoal and so easy to clean.
I do however have one huge complaint. Literally the day after I purchased the HUB the Hub II came out . I wasn't aware it was coming. However I am not complaining as I did get the Hub I at a substantial discount from Bunnings.
I am going to enjoy this BBQ for a long time and I can not recommend it enough. Thanks Everdue. Thanks Heston and anyone else that bought the Hub to life.
Amazing Hub II, Unbelievably Great Service – I received my Hub II as an early Xmas 18 present and a week later we’ve catered for dozens of guests having done a Porcetta, Lamb and Chickens all which were stunning. On the third meal (New Years Eve) we found the rotisserie poles were raising and lowering at diffferent times meaning the rotisserie was out of alignment all just before our guests… Read more · 1
were to arrive! What happened next can only be described as outstanding, an email to the Everdue service team who after 7 emails (all on New Year’s Eve mind you) had provided incredible advice and service as to how to fix the problem and also an offer to replace our BBQ! I should point out the problem resolved itself after cooking the meal which makes me believe there was some water on one of the contacts after washing it down which evaporated, now it all works fine.
I would recommend the Hub II for the service alone, for someone who has been trying to get an internet connnection for 3 weeks I know how poor service can be!! The service firstly Anthony then Mark provided was first class. Thanks again guys, dinner was amazing and we look forward to our next awesome meal.
Cheers Paul

Love the HUB!!! – I have had the hub for over a year and have cooked pork, beef, chickens, snags and fish. They always turn out great, as long as you cook to temp. My favorite thing at the moment is chicken gyros, which are a massive hit with everyone. I have found cleaning the firebox and cabinet to be super easy. Pros: - Food turns out amazing. solid and hopefully get many years of beautiful food from it. - I had an issue with the element which stopped working. The support team were on it and a replacement element was sent out without hassle. A big thank you for that too.
Cons: - The grills are hard to clean and can't get the black char marks off. However this doesn't affect the cooking, nor taste of anything I put on it.
Worked once then kept shorting power out and had a melting plastic smell about it – Bought 2 weeks ago and used for first time today. Coal heating element worked first time then a few hours after the cook went to use again but kept shorting out the power to the house. Tried different outlets and different power cords but same thing every time. Rotisserie works fine but as soon as element started trips after a second. Very disappointed Show details

Love it however the cost of the charcoal is outrageous – We love it. Unfortunately the Evedure team outside Harvey Norman told us the bags of charcoal were $59 when they are actually $99 so running cost is 40% than expected. Show details

Could not recommended enough! – I received my Hub II as a house warming present, and it has been absolutely fantastic. I have actually been quite surprised on how easy it has been to use. see myself ever going back to a gas bbq.
The only issue I have had thus far is the paint on the charcoal chamber started to break away. However since contacting Everdure, the service has been second to none. They had a technician out within 48 hours who checked the whole bbq, not just the chamber, and I had the new parts delivered the following week. I would recommend the Hub II for the service alone. The service from Bart and Wayne was first class.
I really cant speak more highly of the bbq, or the team at Everdure.

this issue to be fixed as they need 20 seconds to take money from you let’s see how good the service is. As I need it for the Christmas all the meat and ingredients is done just waiting for this. Still not happy with the unit, since you pay a good money for this unit and it’s cone with QA pass sticker. What’s the QA does? Received a call 2 days after the complain from everdure but the customer is terrible. The first one by a lady is good but the second one OMG...... surprise with such a brand but when hire customer service staff this is what they have.

I have to eat my words (humble pie) – I had tea rust on the base of the BBQ and rubbished the advice from Everdue about cleaning off the rust and spraying WD40 on the base to solve the problem? Now for the BBQ review:
We have had the Everdue since Nov 18 and it is magnificent! I put a lot of natural charcoal on to start and hit the button to ignite the fuel, enjoy a beer and then speed the coals and repeat pressing the ignition again. Then it's ready for anything you care to cook on it.
We have rotisseried chicken numerous times it is really succulent. Move the rotisserie to the lowest level for 15 mins until the skin is golden brown then raise it up (using Heston Gloves to avoid burns) to the highest level.
I recommend you buy a meat thermometer, I purchased the CDN from Amazon. When you need to test the meat temperature stop the rotisserie and test it will only take 4 to 6 seconds (using Heston Gloves to avoid burns).
When you feel brave go to your Butcher and buy a fillet of beef or rib fillet, using the same method (as above) makes the meat moist tender, delicious and succulent..
Steaks and Heston's’ methods (see video) are sublime.
Suggest you buy an Eveedue and enjoy a great BBQ - I have neighbours queuing for invites to our BBQ!
Bbq is great when it works! When it doesn’t the follow up service is terrible – I’ve had my bbq for just over 15 months. Paying the price you do you would expect some kind of follow up support . Then when it came to the technician coming out I was told the only available days for my area was Monday and Wednesday so we agreed for the Monday . The lady… Read more
booked me and said I would receive a sms with a 4 hr window. Received nothing took the day off work and no show . The excuse was they left a voice mail message I don’t have voice mail.
For the price of the product you would assume they would have better customer service . Here I was thinking about the new model . Defiantly not now.
So I was told by the rep from their customer service team it’s out sourced to someone else to fix the repair. I made it quiet obvious it’s your product I paid good money for it and you’re blaming the 3 rd party provider who didn’t show up ? Hello ! Worst service , worst product . Any chance of a refund ? Two repairs in a short time? I would take the refund. This would honestly be the worst bbq for the price . Purchased the bbq cover to keep it covered and the bbq is showing signs of rust . Can upload photos of the quality of the bbq . The plate that sits above the heating element has cracked also . For this money anyone would expect a decent product that would last longer then 15 months

Everdure Rotisserie falls out – Just purchased this and trying my first Rotisserie cook. Have placed Pork on Rotisserie and put onto supports. The rod keeps coming out of the drive end. Rod adjusted to total length....having to sit and watch in case it stops and burns. Cannot believe this is normal? Or is it. Magnificent, new king of BBQ’s – We’ve been using a Weber for more than 10 years, it’s still going, but really wanted to buy a new barby. I only like charcoal BBQ's, don’t see the point of gas, might as well cook in the kitchen. This thing weighs a ton, be prepared for that. The upside is that it’s built really well, feels like it won’t make it to a council clean up for a while.… Read more · 1
You need to be confident cooking with charcoal, moving it around to create different heat levels. And the spit takes a few goes to get right (stick to beef as it doesn’t need to be cooked through!). Bunnings now sell the actual charcoal recommended for this appliance. It’s really thoughtfully designed, with parts tucked away in dedicated holes. Materials used feel like they are industrial. We had a large gathering at Xmas, everyone commented on the great food, the spit really makes a difference as the fat doesn’t all drip away, it keeps cooking the meat. The only down side is that it needs an electrical connection to get the coal started.
Pig needs support for backbone – My earlier comment about securing the backbone of a pig has not been addressed and the private message referred to not carried out. Please post a photo of a cooked 40kg pig that the hub is suposed to hold with the backbone not supported! I had to cut the head off a 17kg pig for it to fit on the spit and had to secure the backbone with plates and tie wire. Dugald Duck Show details · 2
Happy birthday to me...best present ever!!! – I purchased the Hub in December 2017 as a birthday present for myself. spoon it was so soft and tender. I have also used the rotisserie for roasts as well as lamb and chicken gyros, both with excellent results!
Using lump charcoal enhances flavour to the BBQ and adds a beautiful crust on sausages I never got from a gas BBQ. The large grill enables me to cook a lot at one time and control the heat in different parts on the Hub for a combination of meat and vegetables. The corn is amazing over the charcoal!
The storage (hot box) beneath the grill is perfect for resting meat or to simply keep things warm while I finish off the cook. The fast flame ignition system makes cooking with charcoal so easy.
I have and will continue to recommend the Hub to family, friends, and colleagues. The Hub is a great BBQ for entertaining as you can get so much on it at any one time and it also looks amazing. I can also say I have made good friends with my local butcher as I am there nearly weekly so I can use my Hub as often as I can.
Best birthday present EVER!!!

Ok BBQ some design issues customer service brilliant – Ok purchased my Hub in Jan 2017. On first use the orange enamel in the fire box cracked and chipped. disintegrated. Again one call saw a new ( heavier feeling )shield posted out to me. Great.
Lastly my rotisserie started to jar on the way round. Indicating the teeth my have an issue. Again all it took was a call and the team came out with a new pole and replaced.
So customer service inside the first year has been great. However it is under warranty. I hope the service continues as I am confident this is not my last issue. Time will tell.
Dissapointed with the build quality for the price of what is essentially an electric heating element under a firebox inside a bbq trolley with a rotisserie
My posts now sit proud of my shelf — trolley/heat issue
The doors don’t sit correctly—again Trolley
my fire box cracked — firebox issue
My heat shield disintegrated —heating element quality issue.
My rotisserie failed. —gearing and motor quality issue.
Pritty much each component in this thing has given me an issue inside 12 months.
Service team in Aus have been great though. But again at just under $2k the service expected is high.

Wish it has a hood with a vent and a base vent to control temp.

Spit rod needs brackets to hold pig to rod, and drive post failed – I love the result. But, having spit roasted many times previously, I could tell that the backbone of the pig needs to be supported and wired to the rod with a flat plate on the outside so the wire does not tear through the meat. It would be a better design if these were designed and sold with the unit. My pig benefited from being wired to two… Read more
plates through the backbone (13kg pig).
It would have also worked better if the spit drive had not failed on first use 3/4s of the way through spit roasting the pig. Upon investigation this appears to be a design fault which has been rectified in the later models. It is a pity the earlier ones were not withdrawn. from sale. Everyone has been very polite but it has been 8 days since a course of action was agreed to fix the drive post but still not replaced.

Fantastic – I have had the Hub for 6 weeks and it is fantastic, both on the grill and the rotisserie. On the grill I can be cooking comfortably in 15 minutes allowing the charcoal to be very hot and even temp. We have entertained so many people and everyone has said it has been the best meat they have ever eaten. It is the flavour of the charcoal smoke through the meat that is unparalleled and is the reason why we constantly use this BBQ.
The easy start electric ignition is a dream and the charcoal starts to ignite after about 5min and then all you are doing is moving around the charcoal and adjusting the height of the rotisserie poles to suit what stage the cooking is at. We also purchase the Heston lump Charcoal to use with it which also seems to be the best charcoal you can buy. We have bought other brands of charcoal but they just don't seem to do the same job.
We are so happy with our purchase and always brag about it when we have freinds over for dinner.

I've done rolled pork, chicken, duck and a suckling pig that turned out amazing. The 40kg rating on the spit is a bit misleading as the width of the cooking area is 80cm and can only fit about 15kg animal (most butchers won't do a 15kg pig- luckily I managed to find one in Inglewood Perth: mondos butchers and they even wired the pig to the spit rod and seasoned the meat)
Overall a great BBQ for entertaining. I wouldn't get it if you were just cooking for yourself as its time consuming and a bit of an effort to clean. If you want to use it for cooking charcoal meats and have designs on spit roasting a suckling pig or other meats then I highly recommend this BBQ.
Dont bother – I bought one of these bbq's and then used it for the first time over the weekend. The spring clips on the rod didnt hold and the meat keep slipping outwards for the following 4 hours.
