Everyday Travel Insurance from Woolworths

So far the claims process has been stressful and uneventful, I bought 12 months of travel insurance and I am completely dissatisfied with the treatment whilst trying to make a claim, I now have to wait until I return home before i can give them all the requests they have made for me to prove my claim. They dont read my emails or answer my questions, I just keep getting the same generic emails back with the same requests. Show details

As insurance, the Woolworths Everyday travel insurance policy is useless. In the case for my one claim .... I modified travel plans due to the illness and consequent death of a family member, father in-law. The reply for the claim was that the policy requires "a close relative be a resident of Australia or New Zealand" - my in-laws live in London.… Read more

My original plans involved a flight to London following a trip in South America, so the claim contained; partial loss of original trip expenses, and rearranging accomodation and flight dates. God forbid I require medical attention from travel insurance, should I be travelling in a country other than Australia.

1 star, as 0 star was not a valid selection ...... To reiterating - as travel insurance, the Woolworths Everyday travel insurance policy is useless.

you need but family said to continue and then my computer got dropped and broke and soon as I got home went into my local tech place and was told beyond repair so purchased a new one sent claim in and was processed in under a week. Top Job we will use again on next trip. Thank You

They handled things from the start with sympathy and professionalism, approving the case quickly and smoothly. I would also like to say that the main thing that stood out to me was the correspondence. They always answered their phone …..every time ……and or later on their emails and did what they said they were going to do. I don’t often give reviews but I cant recommend this company enough and would definitely advise anybody to use them if your heading overseas.
