I never thought I would write a bad review, I have never done it before, but this one that is worth my time. It was the most horrific stay and I wish no-one goes through such traumatic experience. We booked for 5 nights (paid in advance), stayed the first night at my partners insistence. After 13 hours of driving my partner was very tired and I too. Read moreted another one and was given a double bed with a bunk bed on top, we accepted it because we were told that the room that we booked was given to someone else. All their rooms are unclean, no chairs to sit on, a very dirty plastic stool, nothing was clean, there was a bug in the toilet, shower dirty, all rooms are very, very small, photos are deceiving. So, no ethics, no satisfactory customer service just right there. At time of going to bed I tried to get in bed but I did not notice the wooden bunk bed right in front of me and hit my head so hard that I nearly passed out. My forehead was very swollen and badly bruised! It was very late and when I went out to the Office which was just outside the room, there was no-one but most importantly there was no first aid kit or an emergency phone. The next day it was a Sunday and there was no Pharmacies opened. I understand that it's a budget hotel and my partner wanted to stay closer to the convention he was going to; but there is total negligence, lack of duty of care, poor customer service, unclean, the list is endless. The next day we asked for our refund because we were not going to stay one more night there, unfortunately it was prepaid and we had to get refunded; one of the remaining 4 days was refunded, the General Manager said that he organised 2 of them and to contact another booking agency for one of the days but we never got any refund, I did contact Expedia which he said has organised the refund for us but Expedia had no knowledge of such bookings, also the third agency, Webbed, had no record of the booking. I went through traumatic days also trying to contact all those agencies. I tried to call the hotel to explain my situation but never got an answer. I am still unwell with the big bruise on my head and a sore eye after almost a month now and they kept the 4 days book paid (VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE). IT'S A HEALTH HAZARD! Keep away from them. No compliance in any way, shape or form. I couldn't wait to get out of there! They are lucky I give them 1, this hotel deserves nothing

Expedia App is very useful to help plan holiday. Quick refund without fuss. Competitive flight/hotel packagesTwice in 5yrs, I got my full refund from hotel cancellation within a wk without any fuss. As long as I read all the details before booking, I feel safe to book on Expedia App as its products have been as advertised in the 5yrs I've used it. Flight/hotel package prices competitive, but best to compare individual flight & hotel prices to get the best price. This is the reason why I deducted 1star but occasionally, it can briefly have unbelievable hotel deal. A great feature is multi city flight booking. False advertising of flight pricingTried to book flights numerous times and each time I tried to process with credit card it came back saying the flights were now additional $700 to what I had selected. Spent over 2 hours with no success. Even the Expedia support tried to assist and same thing was happening to her. Ended up booking flights direct with the airline! Expedia you can’t advertise flights at one price and then increase pricing significantly when trying to process the payment!! Great way to lose customers!! Show details

Do not use this site to travelVery easy to book flights, just don't trying changing them. Tried to change bookings. Have had 2 separate conversations with 2 very different information provided on changing my flights....very restrictive and not as easy as they porport on their website.

The first and will be the last booking flight with ExpediaI booked the tickets to SYD via Expedia in December 2023. For some who knows reason, the airline has cancelled all my flights in January 2024. I have been trying to get assistance from Expedia in last 2 weeks.
And now in less than 3 weeks till the date I need to flight and still nothing is sorted out. Called them many many times and each time I go through all over the problem again with different agent.

Absolute rip off company do not use!!Had a trip from Phuket to Bangkok booked through them and when I got to the airport there was no record of my booking. I ended up having to buy another ticket thanks to them. Then when I got back to Sydney (home) I went around in circles trying to get a refund for months until I finally gave up. Dog sh*t companyWill charge you multiple pre-auth amounts for failed bookings, then make you wait 3-5 business days, but by then the prices would have gone up significantly. I guess this is how they make money. Show details
Do not use ExpediaI booked a trip through Expedia and this included day tours will stop I was seriously injured on one of these day tours and when I made a complaint to Expedia I received no response whatsoever. Deceptive advertising on websiteBooked a motel through this company purely relying on their advertisement of the motel being 9.73 kms from the destination I was visiting. On arrival at the motel we found it was 41 kms from our desired destination. Expedia have refused to negotiate a refund or compensation. Deceptive and misleading advertising is against the law in NSW! Customer service is disgraceful! Never ever use this company. Show details
Scammer companyBooked a hotel for 4 days for 3 people as part of a package deal through this company called Expedia. Arrived at the hotel only to be told that the hotel room could only accomodate 2 people and so we were refused the booking. No refund was offered by kew central apartments or expedia. Chased the refund up through the property manager who refused us the room only to be told that she couldnt discuss it with us. Chased it up through Expedia but they said they couldnt secure a refund for us. What a scam. Avoid these 2 companies at all costs.
False advertisingFound the hotel on Expedia site. They have pictures of the room with 2 beds when you go to book it comes up as one bed very misleading. After enquiring with customer support about booking the room I was told its not a room with 2 beds. The answer of the customer support did not match the pictures they were advertising as the room. Enquired about putting a complaint in with them, support couldnt even give me a link or email address that I can put in a complaint. As if I was talking to a robot the customer service kept repeating the same wording about the room not answering my questions. Show details

How do I cancel a booking made through Expedia?
You need to be prepared to spend a full day of sitting on hold. Then call and wait, and wait, and wait.
It appears that Expedia’s total costs for car hire from (and return) to Montreal for 14 days in August are about or less than a quarter of the same vehicles on the actual car hire websites (eg $35 a day compared to over $200 a day). It seems too good to be true. How can this be? What is the likelihood that a car would actually be ready and waiting (at, say, Hertz or Thrifty) with no other hire cost upon arrival to collect the car?
I'd say the likelihood that you're being used as a bank, ie pay in advance, then get the service cancelled prior and then wait for your refund is reasonably high. See my review for how they do that with flights.
