AVOID! Treat customers with contempt!!... Warranty commitments are not honored!!! – Purchased a Samsung S4 mobile phone from Exponline at the end of 2015. From the outset, experienced intermittent problems with the phone including call drop outs, no signal and at times won’t allow you to end a call. Despite spending several hours troubleshooting which included ordering a new SIM card, the problems continue to persist, to… Read more

the extent where I haven't used the phone for the past 8 months.

The phone was returned to Exponline for the 3rd time (at my expense) on 16 March 17.

I am yet to receive confirmation that the phone has been received despite numerous emails requesting an update.

Out of frustration, I drove to IDS Company Pty Ltd which is the company we were asked to return the phone to.

It’s a small company based in Bayswater with a few staff that operates as a logistics service provider and Exponline is just one of its customers.

They confirmed they had received my phone and advised it had been sent back to Exponline in Hong Kong (so much for the service centre being based in Sydney!)

Despite being reassured that a refund would be processed within 24 hrs of the phone being returned, I’m none the wiser as there has been no communication from Exponline.

Great customer service as we approach the 1st anniversary from when this saga commenced.

So allow me to set the record straight.....

-Exponline is not based physically in Sydney.

-The company is based on Hong Kong so you’re wasting your time referring the matter to Consumer Affairs and expecting them to act. Consumer Affairs took my details and recommended I report the matter to ScamWatch.

-The company does not answer the local phone number provided. I know as we have tried on at least 50 occasions. To this day I haven't spoken to a company representative.

-If you are lucky enough to receive an email response (many never do as evidenced by the feedback left by other customers on this site), don’t hold your breath. We have received excuses such as "we will be slow to

respond due to the Xmas period", to apologies as "we have been on annual leave", and the list goes on.

So while Exponline may seem to be cheap on face value, it appears they do not sell phones configured for the Australian market and if anything goes wrong, don't expect any support from the manufacturer, Consumer Affairs and definitely don't expect any support from Exponline based on our experience.

If you have already purchased a phone and experience an issue, don’t put up with their stalling tactics, make sure you dispute the transaction with your credit card provider and demand a charge-back within the allowable time frame which is 3-6 months depending on the bank.

If you haven't already purchased, highly recommend that you pay a little bit extra and buy a phone locally with a manufacturer’s warranty, otherwise good luck, I've done my best to enlighten you about how Exponline

treats its customers.

EXPonline frauds expressonlinestore on eBay – Hi, bought an iPhone 5s at Christmas for my son. Christmas morning switch on and lines across the screen. I contacted them which did get a prompt reply asking me to hard reset, etc. After this all failed I asked me to send back I have recorded delivery number and confirmation email as shown return. As from now coming to the end off March I have… Read more

not heard anything back email system is down with the website. Exponline site isn't on the net anymore. I am going to fair trading to make a complaint and take this further. They are still selling on EBay as expressonlinestore with they're logo EXPonline. I have read many complaints now from others in the same boat. BEWARE do not buy from this fraud. They should be shut down and fined.

Ignores request for warranty!!! Faulty phones, don't use this site! – Bought a new Samsung S4 that worked well for 14 days, then stopped working without any damage or other reason. Initially replied to my request by telling me to try to default reset etc. Tried all things to no avail and when I try to contact them again I get ignored a few times then clearly my email gets blocked and states undeliverable! Clearly a systematic con!

EXPonline Poor warranty service – Purchased Samsung S5 from Exponline. Ran well for 5 or 6 months then completely stopped working. Whilst their email response to my sales enquiries was excellent, their response to my support emails has ranged from poor to non existent. Only after suggesting I would take legal action did they send me an RA number to return the phone, that was 3… Read more

months ago. I sent them my phone which they acknowledged receipt of but I've heard nothing since. Still waiting for a replacement phone! Today I sent them another email with "pending legal action" in subject line, only to have the email bounce back with a address unknown 550 error message. Next I tried to go to the web site but that is down. Looks like they have done a runner!

Crazy thing is Officeworks and other retailers are selling new S5s for $369 which is cheaper than what I paid this crowd...just goes to show shopping on the internet isn't always the best option.

Faulty Phones, Do Not Buy! – I originally ordered an iphone 6 from these guys, after 3 months the phone was faulty. People couldn't hear me, flash light wouldn't work, couldn't open any apps, etc. At first when I got in contact with them, they got back to me no problem and instructed me to send the phone to some place to get it fixed. I waited about 2 months for the phone… Read more

(after I kept hassling them about it), and it looks like they just sent me a new phone. Now this phone is worse than the first, in which I charge it to 100% and once I unplug it, it shuts down. Now it doesn't work AT ALL. I got in contact with them multiple times, but they won't respond or answer their phones. This has been the worst experience, and I would encourage anyone to save yourself any hassles and just don't buy from them. It is now a fair trading case.

Poor Support Responses – Just make sure there are no problems with what you buy. It is now nearly 3 months since my galaxy phone S5 was sent back for a warranty defect (no ring tones available or heard) and just keep getting put off. Just like the other responder I am now forced to elevate the issue with Department of Fair Trading as starters. Recommend you steer clear of this one

Avoid at all costs! Had to go to Fair Trading to get faulty phone replaced – I bought a Samsung S5 phone from them. It worked well for 5 months and then the screen suddenly died. Phone was advertised as having a 2 year warranty, but when I contacted them they would take days to respond to emails, and never answered their phone. I was eventually directed to another repairs company to process the return. After filling out a… Read more

lengthy return form and submitting it to them in early December, they responded only to tell me that they were "on holidays due to peak season" and told me to "feel free to contact them again in January". I told them that it's unacceptable to expect me to wait that long for a replacement phone, and they told me it was "a company decision". At that point I went to fair trading. Once they got involved, suddenly EXPonline started contacting me to sort the situation out, and sent me a replacement phone almost immediately. It's ridiculous that that's what it took to get a replacement.

Never use them faulty phones bad service – I initially wrote a good review - but have since discovered every phone I've bought from them has been faulty. They replaced the first one - but refused to do anything about subsequent phones. Do not buy a Samsung phone from this dealer.

Disgraceful – Absolutely disgraceful. Purchase phone and within 3 months screen went blank. Causing lots of inconvenience. They are trying to now imply it was our fault the product is not working. We took phone to repairer who informed us that the product was refurbished and not new as advertised. Will be putting a complaint into ebay shortly. Strong advice is to stay away.

Very poor after purchase service - extremely disappointed! – I have tried to contact EXPonline for several months on phone and left three customer service requests. finally responded to my contact. Furthermore I have identified that although they advertise AU version in their advertisement, the phone did not have tick of approval and therefore Samsung Australia will not fix the phone. This is false advertisement and I am pursing this matter also. Please be careful with this retailer's claim of AU version phones. The one I was sold was not AU version.

Sold as brand new, but actually been repaired/refurbished – This business sells products as "Brand New Sealed", but actually they aren't - in my case anyway. I purchased a iPhone 5 approx 12 months ago. The screen broke so I took to a local repair shop - when they opened it up screws were missing from inside and it had clearly been repaired/refurbished in the past. Prior to buying I had contacted them… Read more

by email and asked if the phone was brand new - they had confirmed "The phone is international version, new in sealed box packaging with warranty covered by our company." My issue is not about warranty, but around being misled into buying something I thought was "new" when clearly it was not. On doing some trawling around it appears this practice is prevalent - so beware, "new", brand new", "never used" do not necessarily mean what they say.

replace with in 3 to 5 working days. They are still selling this exact phone & state that they have more than 10 available. They also had a card stating that if there any problems do not contact purchasing site, to contact them directly. Which seem's pretty dodgy. After just emailing them through all the phones they were selling I got a response. A credit of $10 was given. I replied stating that I did not want $10 I would prefer a refund or another phone & was happy to pay extra money if need be. They have now given me a tracking No. for replacement. They list products as being sent from Sydney but actually are sent from Hong Kong, I'm tracking the phone through TNT. When You make a purchase no Tracking No. is given.

Be very wary of this company – I have been trying to contact these people for over a week now, they do not respond to emails and my repeated phone calls are not getting through. I bought 2 phones at the cost of $500.00 both of which do not work. Needless to say I am NOT very happy.

This company does not honour their warranty. Communication almost non existence – Have been trying for about 8 months to get a firm reply from this fraudelent company. Many, many phone calls and emails and have not got anywhere. Got passed on to Iconmobi to review and organize repairs. Now they have stopped replying and wont answer my emails . Absolutely pathetic to deal with. Do not buy from them . All looks good in their adverts. Just don't buy from them
