Works fine for the first few weeks, then they slow down your mobile data to 0.2mb a sec. Absolutley unusable
I signed up to Felix because it offered a fairly decent price at $40 for the data & minutes. It was fine for a few weeks then i noticed a major slow down in data speeds. I couldn't even load google, Facebook, Insta, emails, couldn't use whatsapp or even basic apps. My phone was rendered useless due to the poor data speeds. I restarted the device and noticed a pattern & realised the network had capped my speed (even though id only used 7GB this month). Its unacceptable that they purposely do this. Its very unreliable, if i need to get a taxi home when in the CBD but cant due to my phone not working, or I need to check my kids are ok and my phone does not work then its really not cool. I have recently gone over to Felix from Optus. I catch a train from the Gold Coast to Brisbane for work and thought the travel would be a good time to listen to some podcasts, problem is, although it’s a metro area and directly on a train line (not remote etc) I get really poor reception and lose internet link at least 6-12 times on a one way trip. BE VERY CAREFUL with FELIX!!!Had been with Belong Mobile for years (was very happy with them) but Felix Mobile have a good roaming deal that suited me for an upcoming overseas trip.
Received a physical Felix SIM in the mail, went through the activation process and my existing number got ported to Felix. That's when the problems and poor customer service began.
After waiting 54 minutes to chat to a human via the App (not verbal as that is not an option), I eventually find out the Felix SIM must be faulty, so they will send a replacement out ... Read more
(1-3 business days), and will send me a tracking number. The number has not come for 2 days, and now I'm back on the App waiting all over again to see where the new Felix SIM is. Problem is while I wait, I cannot receive/make phone calls, texts, etc and I leave for overseas in a few days. So today, I went to port my number back to Belong but guess what. You cannot port your number without receiving a text message or phone call to verify you with mobile companies. The performance is okayish with a couple of drawbacks that I experienced relative with other providers:1) Phone calls cut out and reception is sporadically inaccessible. If you are after a consistently reliable connection, this is far from it.
2) Texting was sometimes weird… it would sometimes be unavailable, despite active reception, and it sometimes played up with imessage.
Customer service is also cumbersome and lacklustre.

Great product and service. Helpful customer service via app online chat. I use it in a Moto E7 and it's been faultless when out and about in Melbourne. Many of the bad reviews seem to relate to poor reception so it's probably worth checking this out in your locality with a Vodafone sim before committing. I'm less than 1km from a tower so get a full strength 4G signal. I also use it at home as a hotspot for my laptop with no issues, streaming Netflix, YouTube etc in HD. Reception is horrible even in metro. Was in a resturant with my friends, everyone on vodafone, telstra had reception. I had none. Went up north from Perth. 1 hour out of Perth metro and no reception all the way. No glimpse of reception at all. My other work phone on vodafone had full reception and data.
