Pretty good but my 14 year old equivalent had better storage space – My older 14 year old equivalent had to be replaced so I'm comparing it to what I had. It works great, love the the internal light has moved to the front and the temperature adjustments are now much easier to access too. I also like the "fast freeze" and "bottle chill" options. I could not find any other brand that has the same storage capacity… Read more

Now the bad, I'm really disappointed that the fridge and freezer doors are now on rollers as this has eaten away some storage space. Having the perspex doors in the freezer makes the fridge REALLY noisy when it is cooling down, my solution to that is to place some no slip mats on the bottom of the doors to reduce vibration which seems to be the main cause of the noise.
Overall, I would still recommend it though.
First and last time I buy a product from Fisher & Paykel – I bought this Fisher & Paykel fridge e522ble4 on 9/12/2014. It completely stopped working on Wednesday 12/08/2015, 9 months later after the purchase. I live in Melbourne CBD, and it took 1 month of putting pressure on the Fisher & Paykel customer care before a Fisher & Paykel technician came only to diagnose the problem with the fridge. It was a… Read more
faulty gas compressor and it could not be repaired on the spot. Just judging how quick this fridge failed after a very average use and how overbooked Fisher & Paykel customer care seems to be, I think that the reliability of their fridges is extremely low.
Great fridge/freezer – Not actually sure which model without searching for the book, bought 3 months ago. We were actually looking for a fridge with a top-mount freezer but this was the only one in our price range with two fruit/veg bins. Saves standing there pulling out salad items one by one with the door open - grab the whole lot easily. Very pleased with the… Read more
purchase and love being able to see properly into the fridge - less food wasted as you don't have to almost turn upside down to see what's at the back of the bottom shelf!. It's doing its job beautifully and no noise to speak of except what you normally expect from a self defrosting appliance.
Best fridge I've ever owned by far. Bought 2. Spacious, attractive, easy clean, quiet – Bought the E522BRE white, right hinge in 2006 for $1520. BEST fridge I'd ever owned. Spacious. Easy clean, attractive, glass shelves, great design, quiet. Loved it. It stayed impeccably new looking so that when I sold it in 2014 when moving interstate it still looked and worked perfect. Lady who bought it off me said it was the best fridge… Read more
she'd ever owned :-)
In February 2014 I ordered the same again for $1489 only with a left hinge for a different kitchen (E522BLE4).
The left hinge fridge was a special order and I had to wait nearly a month for it to arrive unfortunately.
Apparently it is super expensive to get the hinges swapped over and add removal costs for interstate travel it is probably best to sell and re-order as I did.
Have never had a problem with it. Moving again now and will sell it.
Would buy the same again next time I settle into a new home after travels
