STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM FISHPOND. Placed an order 8/01/2026 by 02/03/2026 still hasn’t even been sent yet! And no this was not a pre-order it was a readily available book. Cancelled order and requested refund. Takes 2-3 days over a week later and still no funds back. Absolute Joke. They just take your money and follow through with an order when they feel like it. So unprofessional absolutely the Worst experience purchasing online ever.

maybe even 1 and a half but almost 5 months for an order, that is very infuriating. They finally got here and my friendopens them up. And I'm even more disappointed with the inside. They were cracked and chipped with some pieces falling out. This is ridiculous, if you read this I suggest not ordering from here.

First they send me a damaged item then I'm unable to return the item as the return label they provided was not accepted by Australia Post. Their online return system now will no longer process my request as it says I have already returned the item. As a long time customer I am not happy with Fishpond. First they send me a damaged book then they make the return process impossible. Won't be buying from them again.
Been using Fishpond for years, however over the past year or more they have been unreliable and have VERY extended delivery times. I placed an order on 22 Aug 2025 for an “in stock” book and I still haven’t received it (8th Oct 2025)!! Now update is that it is in transit and they are not sure why it has been delayed. So frustrating…I only gave 1 star because I can’t do zero. I WILLNOT be using Fishpond ever again.

Ordered arrived badly damaged. No way of contacting them for a replacement
The book arrived as damaged as this, which I would consider is not in sellable condition. They were fully aware of this, but still decided to send to me, with a letter attached INSIDE the book, claiming that "the damage is minor". I should have returned it, but I have no trust that they will issue full refund & covering the return shipping without delay. I will never buy from them again.
Your parcel is coming... so is Christmas – I ordered and paid for a book in the beginning of December. It is now middle of January and I still have not received it. Took my money. They emailed within days there may be a delay in shipping. Waited over a month. Can't submit inquiry on their website since October 2025 or contact them in any way. They have all of my billing & contact info. No further contact from them and no refund.
Follow-up · I wrote a formal request on 1/28/2026 to the address they listed on their website (POB 1202 Cheltenham, Gloucestershire).Today 3/4/2026 the letter was returned marked as “no such address”. These people are criminal.
They take orders without stock and there is no indication of this until you don't get your book and make an inquiry. Another personal thing I hate, they don't have a contact email address let alone a contact us phone number.
Follow-up · I received an email about two weeks after my review saying "you have cancelled your order and not been charged so no refund is required", which on checking was correct and that was that. The model they operate, still doesn't sit well with me.
I ordered a CD 6th September 2025. Fishpond advised they couldn't supply the product and asked if I'd like a refund which I accepted. I still haven't received the refund and am unable to contact anyone to discuss it. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY

I ordered a book for my son on 9th Jan, and was advised it was shipped on the 16th and should arrive between 19th and 22nd. Here we are 3rd Feb and still no book in sight, no refund, and completely unsatisfactory customer service responses. I ordered a popular book on 2nd January. Order was acknowledged. Since then, nothing- followed tracking and it said order not fulfilled. By 21st January -stlll nothing. The book was available readily. Looked on Booktopia- ordered it and they have sent it the following day. Cancelled my Fishpond order. Do better Fishpond!!
On the 2/1/26 I received a confirmation of an order I made. Since then I have received no shipping date . I tried getting help through the web page but it was a fiasco as non of the boxes you have to press wasn't working, so I can't get through to them. Keeps being delayed. They obviously do not have the product and are onselling from another supplier. I have cancelled 2 items out of 3 and have r received them from a different supplier already. Follow-up · Final part of order received after being placed 2 months prior. Numerous attempts for contact made via emails and other contact platforms etc with nil replies or return phone calls. Pretty hard to dispute when communicstion only goes one way..... Order was worth a few hundred $ which was placed to prior to Christmas, which was a complete mess.... I will never recommend or use this business again. Just a shame I can't give 0 stars.....
They will take your money but not send any receipt or record of your order. You then can’t contact them because there is no way of sending your complaint without an order number.
I ordered my book in November, told it will be here 24-29th Dec now saying 6th Jan 2026, How is this even possibl when they are located in Sydney and I am in Melbourne, I will never ever use this company again.
Ordered 2 different books at the very beginning of November for Christmas. Had a delivery date of mid-December. It keeps getting pushed out; now it's January for both books. There goes the Christmas presents! They don't have stock when they say they do so I won't use again, not worth the hassle.
Ordered a Blu-ray on 2nd November. Then nothing until 1 December, saying the (popular) Blu-ray is no longer available. Oh, surprise, the price has almost doubled. I emailed them and asked them to complete the contract of sale. They refused and cancelled the order. I don't see any mention of a legitimate mistake with pricing. I'm able to order this elsewhere, so what's the problem? I can't trust this retailer.

Useless. Delivery times are vague and there is no real way to contact Fishpond regarding refunds. You end up in an online loop that says '48 hours response time'. The Money they collect for postage never sent seems to be how this business runs. AVOID.
Be careful! I purchased an item two weeks ago and checked tracking today. No updates. Only an assurance of an updated in ONE MONTHS TIME! Not delivery. Just an "update". reorder it. The other was coming soon. That is not what happened! The one that was missing mysteriously arrived mid september ie more than a month after ordering. The second one arrived yesterday ie 16/10. As well as taking over 2 months it also was incorrectly packaged in a flimsy,too long cardboard sleeve, not designed for Vinyl!.The packaging was bent/warped! The record appears slightly bent but luckily still plays ok. I did not want to have to deal with Fishponds return process!!! I’m done!!

same in Sept 2024. I didn't subscribe and now can't unsubscribe. There are many similar complaints from others who had the same unpleasant experience. Have complained to ACCC and state body, and requested my bank to investigate.
Ordered a vinyl record on 10 August and it took nearly 1 month to ship (not delivered, just to ship from warehouse!). Am now waiting for it to arrive in Australia (now the 17 September). Terrible customer service. Strongly suggest avoiding this online retailer, even if you think you may save money - it's not worth it!

Pros: They were the cheapest including delivery cost. They are still allow cancellation of item should I wish to do so.
Con: Extended time of delivery far beyond originally indicated. Large initial delivery time to start with.
