Good at first then after 2 years the electrics fried on charge – This watch (Versa 2) has served me well into ensuring to do 10000 steps or more a day by regular walking. However after only 2 years it has failed me as slowly over the past month the display was fading and then one day it just didnt charge at all and was over heating. Received as a birthday gift from my mum (now deceased) costing her over $300. I will now look to getting a more reliable brand like Apple. Show details

Expensive piece of junk – Purchased the Versa 2 after having the old original Fitbit and having no issues over 5 years of wear. Assumed that the quality would be similar, if not improved. Battery life is ridiculous, it seemed it was forever on charge. Now after only a year and a half, the watch is showing the wrong time and telling me I have done no exercise, even though I… Read more

rarely sit during the day and am fairly active. Can't seem to contact Fitbit here in Australia. Customer Service is non-existent. Don't bother with the Fitbit Versa series. Total waste of hard-earned dollars. This is my last purchase of Fitbit, will not be wasting money in the future on a watch that is 'not fit for purpose'.

Absolutely rip off – The FitBit watches initially offer some exciting features, but unfortunately, after purchasing, many of these features get locked behind expensive subscriptions. Additionally, the step counts are not always accurate, which can be frustrating. The watch's battery charge is poor, and the band quality is low, easily getting torn. Instead of investing… Read more

in this watch, you might find better alternatives with similar features available on smartphones. Personally, I ended up storing this watch unused in my cabinet for a whole year, feeling like it was a waste of money and a rip-off

Dont waste your money – The band was first to go barely lasted a year. Then the screen popped out while I was in the shower and the electronics got fried. Expected better but obviously they are only built to last a few years then they want you to buy another...never going back to Fitbit Show details

Very Sad I wasted my money☹ – I bought the versa 2 fitbit at Walmart in Hannibal,Mo on 9/1/20 for $161.44 with tax . I loved it at first till the button started working part of the time then just quit working. They wont replace it or back up the warranty. I just get a run a round. So disapointing. So I'm letting everybody know about my experience hopefully no one else gets ripped off☹ Show details

The worse costumer support , the product must be a joke – I got really strange data from my Versa 2 . Siting on the couch 131 heart beat . I am a musician and can fill the tempo quite accurate . I found a pulse around 70-75 . I had similar experience driving the car and siting at my desk . Funny part , the data from the app was different from the screen of the watch . Anyway , I choose to keep it longer… Read more

. One day I was on my rowing machine , pushing super hard , and I saw this heart beat of 31 . I don't think is possible even when you are sleeping , and definitely not when you doing your cardio . I took a picture of it . The next day I took my watch off during my kettlebell workout ,and put it on a carton box . Was surprising to see that my box had a heart beat according to my watch . I started a video , and extra funny , the watch even found changes in the heart beat .14.10 I called Fitbbit support . Explained the problem , send pictures and video . Been promised to get a call from the technical team . Week later nothing . Calling again to ask about the case . Different person , I need to start explaining from scratch . The new person acting like there is no connection between him and the previous . I got another promise , will be contacted whit update . Nothing . Few days later calling again . New guy , the same dance again . Every time standing between 40 to 60 minutes on the phone . Finally this guy understands my problem .Brand new watch whit malfunction . He starts procedure for replacement . Promised me to take 5 to 7 days .Promised me to send the replacement from the Australian warehouse , not from China . They received the watch at 02.11 ... Waiting for the replacement ,but nothing ... 9 days later calling again ... A new person ...Asking about my watch. She confirms they got mine on 02.11 . But surprise , they didn't even start whit the sending the other one . Asking why ? She is explaining me , they need 5 to 7 days to " check my package " .She is starting the procedure ... Asking her how long will take , another 5 to 7 days . It will drive from China warehouse . Telling her what her colleague promised . She is acting ,like there is no any connection between them . Extremely arrogant tone , interrupting me again and again . Horrible experience . Already very disappointed ,asking her could someone check the previous conversations and to find why I got fake promises . She promised to be done .Never get back from them . Nothing to do , waiting for the watch . Today is 17.11 evening , still nothing . No watch ,no feedback . I'm so tired to call there . From 16.08 until today I don't really have a watch , even paid almost 300 dollars for it . And this is under premium subscription . Just wondering what is the standers one ? Stay away from Fitbit .Get Garmin may be . Anything else ...

Suits my needs, comfy to wear – I'd previously had the Fitbit Charge "forever" but the battery charging time wasn't lasting so I bought the Fitbit Versa 2 for a replacement as I didn't want anything too complicated - really just like to keep track of my daily steps, sleep and calories burned. So far I've found it to be great, has features I don't really need at this stage but… Read more

also has extras that I find really useful. The one negative thing I've found is it's difficult changing the strap, wouldn't be something I'd want to do regularly as honestly I feel I might break it.

Aqua Aerobics setting ? – I am loving this fitbit versa 2, purchased December 2020, however my main fitness group is Aqua fitness (Aerobics), there is nothing in the list that matches this. I used the workout setting, but I am unsure of the accuracy of this. Anyway it would be nice for an update to add in Aqua fitness.

Wish I stayed with my Garmin – This attractively designed watch caught my eye as a good value replacement for my dead Garmin. for i dont know how long. Yes its fully charged. Despite having a premium account it does not register my sleep patterns now, nor my exercises. I regularly have trouble syncing it with my phone and have to sometimes reinstall it. I dont know what the other more expensive watches like Samsung and Apple are like but i am ready to try the watch for my phone. I have to say when it works its great and it has made ne so much more aware of my fitness and diet but i suppose any working watch will do that.

Fitbit support is woeful – My first Fitbit died & was replaces within the 12 month warranty. The second one lasted 2 years & the screen fell off. It was still held on by wires. Customers had complained about this previously. Took a picture next to the first email I received with a reference number. Was asked to take a picture again with the reference handwritten beside it.… Read more

I had gone through many emails & online chats to reach this point & it had been ‘upgraded’ in the customer care section. Because this dragged on for so very long my husband glued the watch face on but it still didn’t work. He did a much better job than Fitbit as I couldn’t get it off to take another picture. I then used the original picture with reference number, hand wrote the number & took a picture. This was not good enough & Harvey Norman were not interested. I bought another brand.

Very serious reliability issues – I bought a Fitbit Versa 2 for my wife- she was quite happy with it’s functionality. She wasn’t keen on any smart watch which didn’t last days on a charge, as she very often forgets to charge things. All she really wanted was notifications from her phone, (texts and calls) and exercise functionality- steps and distance covered, plus preferably… Read more

heart rate. Anyway, the first one failed completely, just out of warranty. I rang support and reminded them about Australian consumer law, which they acknowledged, so once I mentioned that, they sent us another. The second (replacement) one has now failed just a year or so later, with the same problem: just a totally scrambled screen. A repeated full reset didn’t fix it, and online searches indicate this is a common problem. This just isn’t good enough for a watch costing hundreds of dollars!

(Meanwhile my original Apple Watch version 3 which I bought when they were first released in late 2017, is still going strong after about five years, absolutely perfect, and has never missed a beat. I think I may need to buy her one!)

Disappointed – I loved the look of this and the large screen. However I was disappointed.. it stopped working after about 5 months.. it states to be water proof/ ability to swim with but after getting splashed while washing my hands it complety stopped working. After going on the fitbit community it seems this was a common malfunction. I was sent a replacement by fitbit but the same thing occurred again after only 4 months. Show details

Awful and headache experience, good in tracking though – Calories burned after a while will repeatedly mess up and jump super high, and the app changes all the calories you've burned on previous days to super high as well, like 4800-5800 range when u were burning around 2700 normally. Takes time and patience to fix each time, deleting app reinstalling, factory reset on watch. Until This time where ive… Read more

tried everything and nothing fixes it. Last straw for me. Also, had an issue where the screen went black and wouldn't turn on no matter what but I could see on my app that the tracker was still tracking HR and steps and stuff. They had to send me.a replacement one. ALSO. Deezer does not open on my watch no matter what. Keeps giving me activation code and after I activate through the app, the watch only ever opens to the code, and it tells me its already activated. can't get it to work no matter what. Went thru all the hassle of making an account, making a playlist and trying to download it to my watch for nothing as it won't even open. Absolute awful experience way too many problems for the price

Only lasted 8 months – I received my Fitbit Versa 2 as a gift on Mothers Day 2020. Yesterday (24/3/21) I returned to to where it was purchased (a JB Hi Fi Store) and received a full refund. it appears this is a very common issue. I was pretty disappointed as I quite liked it. I was going to get a replacement until they said to me at the store that it was quite common for the Fitbit Versa 2's to be returned due to malfunctions so they were quite happy to issue a refund.

Waste of money, now I'm going to save up for an Apple watch, no more fitbit's for me.

Can’t trust the calorie burnt figure – Calorie used figure is too high. Use 80% of what watch says as true figure. The zone minutes measure is faulty. I ride for an hour cycling and end up soaked in sweat and show abnormally low 4 zones. Sleep function is faulty. Tried different wrist. Tried pushing versa higher on forearm. Faulty sleep mode and overstating calories burnt seems to be a common problem.  Show details

No more wasting money on the Versa – I like the Versa, but the cost, unreliability and total lack of warranty support mean my next purchase will be from a competitor. is a joke. When you have a problem, the instructions on their website never work. You then have a long wait to get someone on the phone. Consistently, once you get someone they will waste about an hour of your time. They will not offer to repair or replace. You have to send the watch to them after which they will send you a voucher for 50% off a new Versa.

Poor technology, no customer service, no standing behind their own product.

Fantastic - but paid premium after purchasing a product??? – First off, the watch itself is fantastic. Its a perfect entry level watch for anyone that doesn't want to pay the premium for Samsung gear or apple watches. My biggest grip with the aforementioned is the battery life. And the versa 2 absolutely smashes it, I get between 4-5 days use out of a single charge, exactly what I want out of a wearable. I… Read more

think its silly to spend $400+ for a wearable that has to be taken off every single day to charge it.

It has all the features you ultimately need in a smart watch - notifications for messages and phone calls, vibrating alarms, quick weather app and all the health fitness tracking goodness you could need, minus GPS. The screen isnt fantastic but thats fine, its a watch not a phone, as long as its legible then it doesnt really matter in my opinion. The bands are great, and whats really cool is fitbit provides both a small and a large band, Being smack bang in the middle this means I have two bands to use before I need to purchase another one. The downside is the build quality seems iffy, a hole for the buckle already has a crack in it and whats worse is its a hole I have never used. Keeping in mind I have owned this watch for about 2 weeks now, it seems a bit quick to start deteriorating already. The way the bands click in is a bit weird and feels a touch flimsy so if you are a fan of changing out bands this may be an issue for you, but after the first install I havent taken them off and it hasnt been an issue. The spotify app only works as a remote control, which for me is perfectly fine, but others have been disappointed you cant go through and choose songs. As I have said from the get go, this watch really brings it back to earth, I am not into watches that can do everything a phone can do, its a watch, I want a watch with a few extra features like notifications so I dont miss when someone calls me and my phone is facing down on my desk or in my pocket where I cant feel the vibration. Lastly this watch does have a contactless payment feature, however I have not used it, being another third party I am not sure how their practices are as far as storing credit card details so I think I will old off for now.

Now for the big fat steaming pile of crap that Fitbit has dumped on top of this product. Something that not only confuses me but also downright annoys me off. A premium, subscription service. The last thing any person wants to do after spending $200+ on a product, is have to pay for a subscription fee on top of that, absolutely bonkers. Now I will say that you dont really need it especially if you arent interested in the fitness side of things but it is just straight out frustrating to spend $250 on a product that doesn't get the full offering from the company. What is even more insulting is you get a basic 30 day trial. If fitbit really wants to play it this way, they should at bare minimum provide 6 months free for entry level products and 12-24 months free for the premium Versa or Sense watch lines. Until this changes Its only getting 3 stars from me, the subscription service annoys me off that much I am taking 2 stars off because aside from that, its a damn near perfect entry level smart watch with all the features you need and none of the extras you dont need.

Fitbit versa2. Sleek design. Useful to me – I give it a 7 or 3 1/2 star. What I do like: It is a good looking watch to me. I wear it everyday and growing to like its usefulness. 1xpw, use the msg fwd on the app, paywave and Alexa. I am no fitness super hero and haven't used the different programs that are available as most of the features require you to pay for premium membership (129 PY) it is best to download and print the manual, served me well in setting up. I am not using the sleeping app but that is a petnal choice (no cost involved) . Battery is lasting me 4 to 5 days which is excellent. What I don't like: Spotify free account can't be used, as you need a paid subscribtion one to use it. Deezer requires payment as well. So are a few other apps. If you want to listen to music you have to download your own music on it through a desktop app and wifi (haven't tried yet..too much work) Most of the apps are focused on American use imo. Weather zone app is American and not accurate as far as I have noted. Lots you can't do or use, without having to pay for. If you want to use Paywave, be aware some banks are not supported for paywave in Australia. Stgeorge credit cards and ING for example are not supported (yet?) apparently.

I paid $198 @ HN and to me it is a useful gadget. Fitbit is in the process of being bought up by Google.
