Appalling Customer Service & Missed Deliveries – Flower Power Milperra Just wanted to share a really frustrating experience I had today with the Flower Power store at Milperra, as a heads-up to anyone planning landscaping deliveries with them. I ordered and paid for two deliveries of soil for my garden. Only one arrived today, which is a massive… Read more
headache because my landscaper is booked and arriving at 7:00 AM tomorrow.
I called the landscaping department at 6:00 PM (an hour before they close) to try and get the second delivery sorted for first thing in the morning. Instead of helping, the staff member I spoke to was incredibly rude and dismissive.
He offered zero apologies for the missing delivery and just said there were no drivers.
He refused to actually check my order and tried to tell me I probably only paid for one delivery (I have the receipt proving I paid for two).
When I tried to explain the urgency because my landscaper was arriving at 7 AM, he told me I had "plenty of other stuff for the landscaper to do" and literally hung up on me.
I called back to ask why he would hang up on a customer trying to solve a problem. He told me he would just hang up again... and then he did!
Mistakes with deliveries happen, but the complete lack of basic customer service and the blatant disrespect from the staff is just mind-blowing. It really damages the brand when they treat paying customers like an annoyance.
Has anyone else dealt with this kind of service from the Milperra store recently? Definitely left a sour taste in my mouth, and I'll be looking elsewhere for my garden supplies from now on.
Flower Power Washed River Sand. I purchased this product for lawn top dressing. The Flower Power website states it can be used for this purpose, but in reality the sand is extremely fine and uniform, almost like beach sand, with very few coarser particles. A simple jar test showed that while the sand settles quickly, the water remained cloudy for… Read more
an extended period, indicating a high content of silt/fines.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this product for lawns, even in thin layers. It can easily compact, crust, and create poor drainage, especially over clay soils. Buyers expecting traditional washed river sand with a mix of grain sizes should be aware that this product is closer to soft masonry sand and may not perform as advertised.

Landscaping Services - Highly Recommend [Name Removed] and Team at Flower Power Willoughby – Following the completion of our rebuild in Chatswood, [Name Removed] did a complete makeover and gave us a beautiful front, side and back garden. Working with debris, uneven land and water backlog issues, the team went above and beyond to transform our home. Our landscaping plans were followed to exact measurement, and [Name Removed] worked with… Read more
heart to provide quality finishes meeting the timeframe as agreed. Of all the quotes we sought, Flower Power was by far the best.
[Name Removed] was reliable, honest and genuinely passionate about his craft. Nothing is ever too much and [Name Removed] even dropped by several times to make sure there wasn't anything amiss or that we needed.
I would be more than happy to share my own personal journey if you are wanting more information but I think the photos speak for themselves!
Great service from Paris, Tim and the Mascot Flower Power team – I after calling and talking to Paris (from Flower Power Mascot) she advised I'm welcome to come in so they can help me identify an Aloe plant I have in my backyard which I was considering eating. Paris greeted me on arrival and identified the plant as Aloe Arborescens. To be sure she introduced me to Tim (another Plant Expert) who confirmed the… Read more · 3
name. Paris wrote the plant name down for me on paper so I could research more, and seeing it was quiet, also offered to help me select and load fertiliser into my SUV, which I needed to re-condition my soil after the recent long rain. A big thank you to Paris, Tim and the team for making a difference.

We are extremely disappointed with our experience regarding the Eden outdoor setting purchased from Flower Power two years ago. Within just a few months of purchase, the setting began showing significant rust despite being placed in a fully covered outdoor area, as recommended. We followed all care instructions carefully and were assured by a… Read more
representative at the time that the product would not rust. I initially reached out via Instagram (September 2023) to raise the issue and provide photos of the rusting, but unfortunately, received no response. After some time, I contacted head office earlier last month via email and sent through all details requested with no follow through via email. I contacted head office via iPhoneand was promised a call back—again, no follow-up occurred. I made another attempt yesterday, only to be informed that our request for an exchange had been rejected but will look into it further. Today I received a call back from head office stating the store manager rejected the claim, without any clear explanation other than out of warranty. This experience has left us feeling extremely let down. Not only has the product failed to meet basic expectations of durability—particularly for something marketed as suitable for outdoor use—but the lack of follow-up and unwillingness to offer any form of resolution has been disheartening. We had hoped for a fair outcome—whether an exchange or a store voucher—not an outright refusal after such a long delay in communication. Spending $175 on a setting that deteriorates in a matter of months is far from what we consider reasonable or reflective of acceptable quality. We truly hope that Flower Power reconsiders how they handle product issues and customer concerns in the future. Unfortunately, this outdoor setting has now been moved off our patio because we do not want the rust staining are expensive decking. This is a product that “looks good from far, but unfortunately far from good”
Last month I bought a $300 ceramic pot at Flower Power Milperra. Four days later we returned it because we found two cracks in it. We bought another pot costing $220. The following week we came back to buy some potted plants and we noticed that the cracked pot we returned was displayed for sale. Besides it was a larger pot of the same type… Read more
costing $700, which also was very badly cracked. I talked to the supervisor, a [Name Removed], to point out that defective goods shouldn’t be sold and surely Flower Power would not want this to happen. My intention was not hostile, I simply didn’t want unsuspecting customers paying large sums of money for some defective goods and Flower Power getting a bad reputation. However, [Name Removed] became quite aggressive. He asked what I wanted, which I answered as above. He asked whether I returned the $300 pot, which I confirmed, and asked how I expected him to sell that pot. Because of his aggressive attitude I said I am done speaking to him and walked towards the door. He followed me and threatened to cancel my membership, then followed me to the car and continued to berate me angrily. (My dashcam captured his angry gesticulations!)
I alerted Flower Power by email but they haven't responded so I suspect the defective and expensive pots are still displayed for sale. Buyer beware!
Attached $700 and $300 cracked pots at Flower Power Milperra and the angry employee!

Wanted to say thank you and acknowledge Craig at Glenhaven Flower Power I was clueless with plants and what I needed for my home other than I had to like the look of it and I didn’t need a degree in horticulture. ( aka simple to look after ) Craig was patient, extremely knowledgeable nothing was a problem , and it was actually fun . Thanks again your love of plants was contagious. Marcella.***
Very happy with work Stuart Carey did for me. He fixed my damaged deck and planted selection of plants in existing pots. He was reliable, courteous and even replaced plants when he realised they wouldn’t cope with conditions on our balcony. Highly recommend his services. Show details

I went here over the weekend, and it was the worst service i have ever recieved, i asked where the gardenias were and he completely ignored me and told me he only sees colour in a person. i think his name was zane. The muffin was good though
If I have 0 star I will vote zero. Went to mount Anna store today. A young sleepy lady was no manner at all should not work as a customer service, should go back find out what is her name then put it here. he staff member at checkout spoke in a very abrupt manner, which made the experience feel unfriendly. counter and a bit slow with the second one , she just said that one as well without any courtesy. Also when a coin was dropped while handing me change, there was no apology. And simply saying U got it.
It would be great if staff could be more polite and approachable, as small gestures like “please” or “thank you” make a big difference to the customer experience.
Customer Service and integrity of the Enfield store is woeful. I was lied to several times. I was looking at buying two pots, unfortunately, one was damaged. I was told twelve were in stock, but in the dock area they weren't able to be accessed with it being Sunday. I paid for the pot to secure the discount and it would be available during the… Read more
week. I went into the store during the week and was told that it still hadn't been unpacked. They would call me when it was available, which they did that afternoon. Calling in to pick the pot up the following day I was completely taken back that they were offering me, the original damaged pot that I had refused. I was told that they could order me another one from the warehouse! I certainly know where I'll be going to buy my pots in the future, Bunnings!

The positives- some of the plants came in very impressive sizes. Some plants were very green, luscious, bushy and healthy. Care tips provided for each plants. bonus salad plant mix.
The negatives- some plants had dying leaves. One plant was just so tiny and it also had a caterpillar that I didn't purchase. One plant had aphids, which I didnt purchase, at the roots.
I'm unsure about the quality of the customer service.
Overall, I would be happy to purchase from them again.
Good plant selection and basic maintenance advice. So far not a complete disaster but at checkout it fell apart. I can only describe the behaviour towards me of the woman at the checkout as deliberately offensive, intentionally insulting and highly unprofessional. I know the difference between miscommunication and intentional behaviour. I have had… Read more
a similar experience at another outlet. There are many local nurseries that are hard-working, professional, caring and polite who deserve your hard-earned money much more than those people. No one should pay to be treated like this.
Not a great place to get roses even the staff told me – Great coffee and lunch at Cafe. Friendly staff I wanted to not buy bare root this year and choose my bushes. But not happy with rose selection which seemed at odds with what is in stock online. Online there seem to be hundreds of roses. Many are in stock at Mt Annan online. I travelled 1.5 hrs and ended up i bought 6 roses which was 2 each of 3… Read more
types. I would have bought more. I was put off by the terrible black spot on the roses in stock. The selection was what most disappointed me just pretty much the following in stock
Just joey APRICOT Friesia YELLOW Mr Lincoln RED Oklahoma RED Mothers love MAGENTA Blue moon MAUVE Double Delight RED CREAM Icebergs WHITE AND BURGUNDY, the white icebergs were the only white roses in stock!
And that was it in rose bushes! A full size thistle in one pot - the only Freisia, terrible black spot on other plants. Really bad full yellow leaves covered with heavy black spots.
I thought I would get to choose from plenty of types,
I wondered if there was a better time to come - but I got told by staff to speak to the rose guy who said they really only keep the few species i.e. what they had.
I came home and ordered a large order of bare root roses same day - please get more roses in, and if you staff could please look after the specimens better it would be good as none wants to introduce diseased plants.
They seemed oddly pruned.
We enjoyed our lunch but overall won't return.

Terrible plants – a lot of the plants are damaged. They’re not well looked after or maintained and to. some extent. I don’t know why but I take them home and they just don’t do well. I don’t know if because they’re in a hot house or whatever but my point here is I just don’t think they care about the plants. They’re very expensive as well and the customer service is also really poor

No refund at Flower Power! – Bought a plant saucer last Sunday, explained I might need to return it - but was not warned there is no refund. When I took it back the next Saturday, with receipt etc I was told there is no refund only store credit. Very unhappy with this policy. I also will be not shopping again at Flower Power. Will give my business to Bunnings, who are always helpful.

Organic Top dress contained a lot of non organic wastes – I purchased a 1 cubic metre bag of organic top dress to top dress my lawn. Firstly they need to remove the word 'Organic'. It would not be that hard to go to your stockpiles of materials and check if its contaminated. Screws and nails are no excuse, these can be filtered out with magnets and other metal sorting tech by your suppliers. Full disclosure of where you source this 'recycled product' is needed.

Abusive manager tried grabbing my phone out of my hand – This store is incredibly disappointing. I purchased 6 pots, spending over $700. After getting them home, I found they were damaged. When I called the store a few days later, they advised me to bring them in for an exchange or refund. The receipt clearly states there is a 7-day refund policy for faulty products. I returned the pots the next day.… Read more
First, a staff member tried to convince me to take a store credit because they didn’t have the same pots in stock. When I refused and requested a refund, the manager David, became abusive and tried to grab my mobile out of my hand. His behavior was unbelievable and unacceptable. He didn’t even look at the pots and outright refused to process a refund. When I tried to explain that the pots were damaged, he became even more abusive and locked himself in his office.
I then tried to speak to another staff member, but the manager rudely interrupted and told her to stop talking to me. I contacted head office. Head office was useless and unaware of their own store policy, which I had to point out was on the receipt. I lodged a complaint with my bank and NSW Fair Trading. Flower Power even lied to my bank, claiming I had used the pots. The tags were still attached, making their claim absurd.
It took 2 months, but my bank finally assessed all the evidence and refunded me. Despite having spent thousands of dollars at Flower Power over the years, I will never shop there again. They are overpriced, have a toxic company culture, and provide non-existent customer service.

Online orders – Wanted to order 4 pot feet @ $10 ea. went to quote shipping to Tasmania and they quoted $72! Are you kidding. It’s not a large item and you would think that auspost can be had for around $14. So i tried to make contact via email and phone. Well no response whatsoever. Would not purchase from this company if you want good customer service or support.

Do customers a favour: find a job you love – The staff at FP @ Warriwood clearly hate their jobs (are they under-paid/over-worked/unappreciated??). Whatever the problem it manifests as terrible customer service and care. Don’t look for help because they will look the other way! Show details
