Outstanding (& patient) customer service from Mel! I was fortunate to receive her very knowledgeable and helpful service on her final day. Not a place for women or older people
I went to flower power to purchase a large pot. I was unable to get it in my car alone. When I sought assistance from staff I was advised by one of the three men standing at the counter that no one would assist me to get the pot in my car as it was company policy. I was advised that I could pay to have the pot delivered. I left without the pot. Obviously single women and elderly people are not welcome at flower power. And if you are a woman, elderly, or have a disability you will pay more than everyone else to have your items delivered. My recommendation: go to Bunnings instead, their staff are extremely helpful and will happily accommodate women, elderly people, and those with disabilities.
Best nursery in the hills area
The biggest nursery in the hills area. Loved the vast variety of pot plants and you can find all kinds of herbs to bring home. Staff is helpful. I asked for fertiliser and the staff searched and gave few choices so I can get the one suit my budget the best. Will become a regular return customer for sure.
I purchased 2 cubic square meters of vege garden mix soil for my raised bed gardens just last week. I didn't realize that I ordered a whole bunch of shredded plastic and rubbish in there too. I spent so much time and energy removing little pieces of plastic bags and rigid plastic as well as other found materials such as rubber bands, toothpaste lids, and also the metal part of scissors. I am so shocked at how polluted the mix was and was so disappointed as I had paid $175 for this. after all the time spent removing the rubbish from the soil ( w...hich shouldn't be something a PAYING customer should deal with) there is still an enormous amount of shredded rubbish in there that is just become too difficult to remove. Bad checkout experience
I purchased 30 plants 16 of the plants were the same and potting mix from the Milperra store and had a full trolley I get to the check and get told to remove all plants from the trolley and put them on the conveyor. there were only 2 checkouts open so not only do you have the inconvenience of removing everything from the trolley you also hold everyone up surly you can leave them in the trolley like they doe at Bunnings. Check out operator was very apologetic and embarrassed with this stupid rule.
Eco Neem was purchased at Mascot. Upon reading the full description at home realised this chemical was not for me. When trying to return it to Mascot I was informed no chemicals can be returned. Where is the notice to that effect? - actually nowhere but they got around that by telling me I should have asked as it may have been tampered with!! Would an 83 year old living in retirement village do that? I left the shop and also left the bottle of Eco Neem as I would not have it in my residence.
Spent over $600 on plants there. One month later 8 of them have died. Took photos, was told," no you actually have to bring in the dead plant." So dug the dead plants out, took them in. Managers response, 'They were overwatered!" How can that be when all the others are thriving!
Lesson learnt; If you live in Campbelltown/Camden area go to Tim's Garden Centre and NOT Flower Power at Mt Annan.
I went to the flower power at Mascot and was looking for a specific plant could not find the colour that I was after so was leaving. I could not find the exit and asked the lady working there where it was. She then asked me if she could search my bag! I allowed her but I was disgusted felt like I was being treated badly. I was well drssed of Indian origin and wondered if she would have treated a Caucasian in the same manner! I have spent over $600 in the last few months at flower power but certainly will not be taking my business there anymore!! Appalling treatment really disgusted !!
Saving on Service
I first contacted FP Enfield in late Sept 18 to begin regular garden maintenance and to have some fill to a side entry and top soil placed on my lawn. They put me in contact with Head Office. After speaking to the lovely girls at Head Office many times, I have had dozens of promises to have someone return my calls to complete the work required, for months. Finally after many calls, a FP contractor came to my home in late Dec and promised a quote to complete the work. It is now January, over 5 months and no progress. I give up! Flower Power does not deserve my business and after reading the poor reviews, I'm not sure why I have persisted for so long. Very disappointing service from what I thought was a reputable company.
Appalling customer service & downright meanness
I was about to purchase 5 marked down lettuces today from Enfield but inquired if they were all 50 c,(some were marked at $1) as they were exactly the same. (size, punnet, previous price etc) In fact the 50c ones were actually better. The lady at the checkout was also confused as to why they weren't the same price & rang the manager, who immediately said the price stayed the same, with no explanation. Prompted by the sympathetic checkout woman, I asked to see the manager ([name removed]) to check & explain, as this didn't seem right. I have bee...n there many times when plants have been inconsistently discounted & the staff have always been fair & offered them at the lower price, especially if there is absolutely no difference. [name removed]) was not only unhelpful, he suggested that he should charge me $1 for all of them when I pointed out that the 50c ones were actually better. He also tried to tell me that the markdowns were dictated by the suppliers, clearly an odd explanation, as I have seen staff mark plants down at their own discretion. I pointed out that it was not about the money, (after all it was only $1.50 I am talking about), it was about the lack of customer service in trying to "fob me off", the inconsistency in pricing & the downright meanness. These plants were for our community garden. (I did mention this to [name removed])) The result of this unpleasant reaction is that I left all my purchases at the checkout, (I had other plants for myself....not a big purchase this time, but I have spent many dollars over the years I have been going to Enfield) I will never shop there again & will cut up the Garden Lovers card, I will also tell everyone about this nasty experience & word of mouth is quite powerful as you know, not to mention the bad PR exercise it must have been for Flower Power as many other customers witnessed this.

Just want to thank Paris so much for her help today.I know nothing about plants and Paris was so helpful and patient with me and explained everything about the plants I purchased.
She is so passionate about her job and Flower Power are very lucky to have her as an employee.

We've recently purchased organic garden mix from two different Flower Power shops, Mount Annan and Moorebank. We were confidently told by a lady at Mount Annan store that the soil is so good that we won't need to add anything to this soil for the plants to grow well, just water them. We placed the soil in one of our garden beds and watered the soil, but it was so hydrophobic it wouldn't absorb water at all. The water would just pool on the soil and when we turned the soil, the soil underneath was completely dry.

Poor attitude didn't seem to care either way
We ordered by phone (on Saturday) for a morning delivery on Monday morning, we waited til 9am so they can get the day into order then I rang to enlighten myself when this AM delivery was going to be. Now the gentleman who took the order was most helpful & courteous (no issue) it was quite different with the man I spoke to on Monday morning. His name was [name removed] (claimed to be the landscaping manager). Upon calling Prospect store and asking what time their run sheet had us down for a delivery , he didn't even ask for a surname just a subu...rb. I could hear him muttering to himself for about 3 minutes then he came back online & asked what is it we ordered (still not asking for a name). Off he went again for another couple of minutes. then came back to tell me that it'll be about 11.30am. At my dissatisfaction he came back with well it's still an AM delivery! At this point I was getting annoyed and told him do you realize this delivery is only 5 minutes from the Prospect store. In short I found this experience most unhelpful & most UNWILLING to help at all.......we took the day off to do this & now through the unhelpful attitude of this supposed manager it's a rush job. My advice buy from ANL we will next time, I'm sure that if the gentleman who took the order Saturday was there today this would not have resulted in this poor review. His attitude would have ensured I wasn't getting annoyed, [name removed] in short didn't seem to give a tinkers cuss
Lanscaping design and service
We were referred to Blitz Landscaping by Flower Power. We had previously contacted other services within the area, who were not prepared to provide a quote and/or did not show up. This service provided a quote, were efficient and on budget. We are pleased with the job in our backyard.
We thought using a reputable company to carry out landscape services would be best....wrong!! Firstly the quote received was $4000 and jumped to $7000 after they started. We can't see where the value was and upon leaving they the job there was about 70% cleanup done although all rubbish was to be removed with the final insult being overloading our wheel barrow with rocks and dirt and leaving it for us to take away. The weight of the rocks and soli actually blew the tyre on the wheel barrow which meant it couldn't be moved....don't come back!!!
We used Flower Power Contractors to do retaining walls at the front of our house . A steep sloping garden . The two guys that did the job were obsessive . Never seen any other tradies work like these two . The work was impeccable . We had , had other quotes from Landcapers , double the price . These two blokes never stopped . Would highly recommend them . Li Xie and your offsider were amazing . Highly recommend them .
