details. Than a week later the money still hasn't gone in and there delivery drivers cost my wife a full day's income changing delivery times. There half an hour window blew out to 6hrs. There are so many better furniture shops that are run alot better.

I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing from Focus on Furniture. I have owned this couch for over two years, and I raised a fault with it approximately 8 months ago. the issue was due to wear and tear or use, despite my repeated concerns that it was a structural fault. It was only in the last two weeks that they finally agreed to send a technician. By that stage, the fault had been left unresolved for so long that it had caused further deterioration and long-term damage to the couch. When the technician eventually attended, he confirmed that the glue in the arm had failed — causing the internal structure to come apart and the feather insert to collapse. This directly contradicts the position that the issue was due to wear and tear. Despite this, the “repair” carried out was simply stapling the material back into place, which has not restored the couch to an acceptable condition. The feathers remain uneven, and the overall structure is still compromised. To their credit, Focus on Furniture have now agreed to refund the couch. However, they are still disputing the refund of the additional Textile Master Multiple Warranty ($199) and the delivery fee ($130) — both of which were part of the original purchase. Given they have acknowledged the couch itself warrants a refund, it is difficult to understand why they are refusing to refund costs that were directly tied to that same purchase. For transparency, I have attached the original invoice along with photos of the defective couch prior and after apparent repair so others can make their own assessment of the quality and the issues described. Throughout this process, Focus on Furniture has: • Maintained the issue was wear and tear for months without properly investigating • Delayed action, allowing the fault to worsen over time • Offered a superficial repair that does not address the underlying defect • Failed to provide full transparency around the technician’s report • Continued to dispute their obligations under Australian Consumer Law The most frustrating part is the constant back-and-forth and lack of accountability. Even now, the matter remains partially unresolved. This experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and completely avoidable if the company had acted appropriately from the beginning. I would not purchase from Focus on Furniture again, and I strongly recommend others think carefully before buying — particularly if you expect reliable after-sales service.

reinforces my concerns about how this has been handled from the start.
I'm extremely disappointed with the Bliss Lounge I purchased from Focus on Furniture on 1/12/2022. Initially, the lounge looked great and was comfortable, but after only this short amount of time, it has started sagging and no longer holds its shape.
The quality of the lounge is clearly subpar, and I expect more from a reputable retailer like Focus on Furniture. The sagging has made our new home/ lounge room look horrible and not feel homely, and I'm now stuck with a costly piece of furniture that I can no longer enjoy.
To make matters worse, when I contacted the warranties department, I spoke with '[Name Removed]', who was less than helpful. She claimed that the sagging was my fault because I hadn't 'fluffed' the couch daily. I explicitly told her that I had followed proper maintenance, but she refused to accept responsibility, even though I am within the warranty time frame. [Name Removed] wrote “ the placement of where you are experiencing the sagging, and the age of your item, all indicating a lack of regular and proper maintenance as recommended for the life of your piece. There would not be a further claim I can action for you under the manufacturing warranty terms provided.” She also declined sending someone to inspect the furniture as I assured here where the sagging has occurred I could not possibly maintain any more than I have daily already.
As a consumer, I expect a product to meet basic standards of quality and durability (especially when we’ve paid a substantial amount for the product!). Under Australian Consumer Law:
- Section 54: Goods must be of acceptable quality. - Section 55: Goods must be fit for a disclosed purpose. - Section 59: Warranties must be honoured.
Focus on Furniture has failed to meet these standards, and their warranties department has been extremely uncooperative. I would not recommend purchasing from this retailer.

Thanks to the Helensvale Focus Team with helping me with my customised recliner lounge. I had extra console added, adjustable corner headrests added and fabric from their huge fabric selection. zero experience delivering to inner city areas with narrow, one way streets.
The first delivery drivers cancelled the order and refused to deliver the items, as they "Won't carry it down the street 100 metres." I emailed the store manager and didn't even get a response and when I called they were not very helpful. I was promised another delivery driver with a smaller truck. But when they arrived, it was the same sized truck, that again stated they usually cancel the order if they can't park in front of the property. They delivered the items, but again had issues with parking and said they couldn't assemble it and that I should save the money and do it myself.
The products are good but I would avoid paying for their delivery service and organise delivery yourself or with airtasker.
Follow-up · I purchased a mattress, head board and base. Assembly, luckily was simple, but doing it by myself probably took longer than necessary. Instructions were easy to follow. The mattress is heavy and large and needs 2 people to move.
The store layout made it easy to see the range and explore. There was quite a range of what appear to be quality items of furniture. The staff were attentive and helpful without being overbearing. I appreciated the follow-up phone call to confirm delivery date. Show details
Follow-up · The chair was fully assembled and delivered in a sturdy carton. As it is quite a small Item, we were able to collect it ourselves from the store. We wanted a chair that was comfortable enough to use as a lounge chair and light enough to move into the dining room to use as a dining chair. We found it so comfortable and convenient that we have since bought another identical chair.

but as there were only two left in the warehouse I was offered and happily accepted a further discount. Our wait was only weeks not months. We received a txt the day before delivery given a two hour time frame and once the chairs were picked up from the warehouse we received a tracking code so we knew exactly what time the van would arrive. The delivery men could not have been more friendly or considerate. Our chairs were carefully placed in our lounge exactly where they'd sit. All we had to do was unwrap them, put the plastic and cardboard in our recycling bin and screw the four legs in which we chose to do to save added cost as we have all the necessary tools. We couldn't be happier with our choice of Hamilton Armchair Lombard in charcoal. The are comfy and supportive and the colour is perfect for our lounge.

furniture are well-suited to my new home. The sales agent, Charlotte, at the Nunawading store was patient as I tried virtually all of the dining room chairs to make sure that they not only looked good and matched the dining room table I chose, but were comfortable. Same with the bar stools. My new home is in a fairly remote area, but delivery was no problem. I opted for the package deal of delivery, installation, and removal of packing materials. As a person of a certain age and moving into a down-sized community, it was important that the delivery was on time and that I was not left with making arrangements for installation and packing material removal. Focus came through on all counts. I highly recommend Focus, which my sister took seriously and has purchased new dining room chairs to replace well-worn ones.

Focus on Furniture we’re very accomodating when we purchased our Davis lounge. At the time of purchase we were sceptical with the type of fabric which is a hessian look. with that, at nearly $4000 and being pensioners it gave us time to complete payment easier. So now just 8months down the track one particular seat pilled up dramatically. It wasn’t due to being the one used the most as we both sit in either end, no kid/teenagers/or pets. The pilling was fairly extreme so I sent photos to customers service as we were told there was warranty on the fabric. They offered me a DePilling device sent for free which I accepted, it’s was basically a lint shaver and not extremely effective, it took at least an hour and a half to clean up the pilling. The answer we got was far from adequate saying it was all a part of normal wear and tear, but in just 8 months??? I beg to differ as the rest of the lounge has no problem with equivalent use. So not a really happy buyer, at 70 I have owned lounges over the years for up to 20 years, without issues like this. This indicates to me given that the rest of the lounge being unaffected with equivalent use that a portion of the fabrics, maybe a different roll, used was inferior to the rest of the lounge. Surely they could have at least come out and checked it and maybe offering to recover one seat.

I briefly stepped out for breakfast, rushed back as soon as I received the message, but the driver said he had already left five minutes earlier. issue was customer service. When I went to the store to reschedule, I was told the next delivery would be a week later, which didn’t work for me. I explained that I might need to cancel and order from IKEA instead, as they offer faster delivery. The sales assistant responded sarcastically, saying, “Who wants to buy IKEA furniture these days?” Her tone was rude and unprofessional. Afterwards, I noticed many similar complaints in their reviews about delivery and customer service. I recommend checking them carefully before ordering. FYI: I’m not making accusations to label this as racism but as an Asian customer, the comment made me feel uneasy.

Unfortunately we will not be using Focus on Furniture for any future purchases as clearly they have a zero care factor.
