Ordered via EQL, paid immediately, waited over 2 weeks with incorrect tracking, then told the order was “lost”. Resolution was simply a refund — no replacement, no compensation, no accountability — despite missing out on the product at the original price. Purchased a pair of shoes for my daughter at the end of January, shes hardly worn them and the bottom has come undone, I contacted footlocker who said i need to take the shoe into my local store for them to check. My closest store is 4 hours away thats the whole point of why I purchased online so a bit hard to do that. They shouldn't sell online if you can't return faulty products that way also

Day, I visited the Adelaide Rundle Mall store and found the collection extremely poor, with very limited options. Because of this, I decided to order online instead.

I ordered two pairs of shoes, each priced at $49.95, using the $100 gift card. I also paid $9.90 for shipping from my credit card. A few days later, I received an email saying that one pair was unavailable and that a refund would be issued. However, I was refunded only $40.05.

I was completely confused as to why the refund was $40.05 when the shoe price was $49.95. I had to call customer care myself to understand what had happened. Only then was I told that the $9.90 from the credit card would not be charged, which kind of sums up as - 40.05+9.9=$49.95 in value. This information should have been clearly communicated in the email with a proper cost breakdown, instead of forcing me to call their head office.

What made the situation worse was that I was now forced to place another order to use the $40.05 Foot Locker refund voucher, and this meant paying another $9.90 shipping fee. Given that the Rundle Mall store had very limited designs, ordering online again was my only option. This meant another unavoidable loss of $9.90 for me, through no fault of my own.

I contacted head office and requested a free shipping coupon for my next order, as the cancellation was done by them after confirming my purchase. Paying shipping twice was not something I agreed to. For me, $9.90 is not a small amount. It is equivalent to two weeks of milk in my budget. I spent about 30 minutes on the call, during which the representative repeatedly apologised but offered no solution. I asked to speak to someone who could actually help and prevent me from incurring extra costs. Only then did she say she would inform the manager, and the manager would call me.

The next day, a manager named [Name Removed] called me. I had to explain the entire situation again. I clearly stated that I had committed my $100 gift card to Foot Locker, and their cancellation had now forced me to pay shipping twice. I was also effectively locked into shopping with them because the refund was provided as a Foot Locker voucher. I requested free shipping so that I would not lose money due to their stock mismanagement. I made it clear that this situation was not caused by me.

Unfortunately, the manager repeated the same scripted apologies as the previous representative. When I asked to speak to her line manager, she told me that she was the final point of contact and that no further solution would be provided. She repeatedly said, “This is the system and I cannot change it.” This response was extremely frustrating. Systems are designed by people, and they can be adjusted if a company genuinely cares about its customers. I felt that she was actively blocking me from reaching to her boss, despite the clear mismanagement by her team.

Some people reading this may wonder why there is so much concern over $9.90. This is not about the amount. It is about a system that forces customers to pay shipping twice because of the company’s own mistakes. It is about a company that acknowledges the inconvenience but refuses to provide any practical solution, leaving the customer to bear the financial loss.

Please avoid this company if you value fair treatment and accountability.

Its either "policy restrictions" or "technical limitations"(corporate bureaucratic hogwash). I seriously wonder how these people order biscuits for their tea room.

Don't waste your time talking to these crayon eaters online. If I was rating these guys ability to lick their own elbows then I would give 5 stars. 1 star is too generous for these disingenuous individuals. ZERO quality control and customer service on their online portal. Only proficient in using CTRL C and CTRL V when writing responses from 1 of their 2 scripts.

If you want to enter the twilight zone do so at your own risk. This is a place where words have no meaning and where people can talk English but cant seem to understand it. Giving someone their S&H cost back is seen as compensation for inconvenience and can be only be given as a voucher forcing you to spend more money at their joke of a store. If you wanna roll the dice at this Casino where the most basic task of checking a box before it goes out can't be done, by all means play on!

Avoid their online shopping platform at all costs!

You'll have an aneurysm talking to these people. I'd post the entire transcript on line but one may suffer a cognitive malfunction reading it. Better off reporting them to the ACCC. (not that ill hold my breath).

No solution, no replacement, no refund — just silence or copy-paste replies. This was my first time ordering online from Foot Locker, and it will definitely be my last. I do not recommend participating in raffles or buying anything online from them. If you value your money and your time, stay away. I genuinely feel misled and scammed. This level of service is completely unacceptable for a company of this size.

stuck, as my son needs the shoes badly and I’m forced to buy from footlocker at the original price which is absolutely unfair for me. My money is blocked. Now I have no choice but to buy at full price which is difficult for me. They have put me in a very compromising situation and it’s not fair that I have to bear the brunt of their mistake and there is no adjustments whatsoever. “refund only for online orders” policy rather than addressing ACL remedies properly. I repeatedly asked a simple question required under Australian Consumer Law: does replacement stock exist, yes or no? That question was ignored, and after multiple written escalations Foot Locker stopped responding altogether. I live in regional Albury with no nearby Foot Locker store, so I rely fully on online orders arriving new and acceptable. Still unresolved as of late Nov/early Dec 2025. Very poor online quality control and even worse customer service.

I'll been trying to speak to someone over the phone for the last three. The phone rings but nobody answers the phone. I've rang three different locations Highpoint, Werribee and Southwarf with the same result. No point having a phone line if your staff don't answer the phone.
