We ordered the Enzo table. It is absolutely beautiful. It is solid and refined. Whilst it is an outdoor table we are using indoors and love it! We purchased a PANAMA Leather Modular Sofa in tan leather almost 3 years ago. We also purchased the Freedom Leather Care 5 Year Protection Plan. We have been diligent with the care of our sofa according to the manufacture's recommendation, however the sofa began to peel about 6 months ago. because of lack of care when frankly either the leather care products were not up to standard required for cleaning, or the leather is poor quality. Longevity is often why customers are willing to pay that extra between fabric and leather, but that is not the case at Freedom. We will not be purchasing anything further in the future!

Then the 2 recliners on one sofa work fine, on the second sofa only one recliner works, so I advised the delivery drivers I was not accepting the faulty sofa and he could take it away. He advised me that I needed to fill in the new warranty claim form online and brought the form up on my iphone. Both drivers advised Freedom Furniture were an excellent store and I would have no problem getting the faulty sofa replaced
So I completed the online warranty claim and did not receive a reply.
I then completed the customer service form the next day and received a reply advising they had NO TRACE of the warranty claim form I had submitted the previous day, and then advised me I needed to complete a second new warranty claim, which I did.
I did not receive a reply by the next day, so I telephoned the new warranty number and spoke to a customer service person. She advised that I needed a Freedom Technician to investigate the sofa, I advised her two Freedom employees had already examined the sofa why did it require a 3rd employee to do that. I also advised her that I did not want a second hand repaired sofa as I have paid for two new sofa’s. She advised that my “PREFERENCE “ would be noted. I also stated that the removal of the two sofa’s and a full refund would be my “preference”.
The repair man came on 25/8/25 and He identified the problem as to why the recliner doesn’t work and advised it just needs the faulty part removed and a new part installed. Which I again advised him I do not want a second hand repaired sofa I could go to a second hand shop and buy an old sofa I want a new sofa as that is what I have paid for.
He also repaired the faulty leg and had to replace the screw fitting inside the arm of the sofa. The leg fell off when he turned the sofa was on its back, when the repair man examined the fitting the leg should have screwed into he could not find a fitting for the leg to screw into, he then had to remove the arm of the sofa and replace the fitting with one from his van. Which showed the delivery driver did not find anything to screw the leg into at all.
The repair man was very polite and professional.
As I purchased two new sofa’s I am not at all happy with the faulty sofa I have received. I do not consider the offer to repair this sofa is acceptable. I have paid $6000 for one good sofa and for a faulty sofa. When I purchased 2 new sofa’s and waited 12 weeks for delivery.
Why don’t Freedom do a quality assurance check on all new sofa’s there is no way this sofa was quality checked prior to leaving their factory. I paid $6000 for two NEW sofa’s not one good sofa and one wonky repaired sofa that I have received.

I would never buy from Freedom again. I received a substandard couch and went into the store the same day. The Manager looked at my photos and agreed the product was not right, assured me I would receive a replacement, and even filled out a warranty form with me. when I followed up, she acted like she’d never spoken to me before. No record of the warranty. I had to start the process all over again. After 2.5 months, 3 different warranty representatives, and endless back-and-forth, Freedom dismissed my claim altogether.
The quality of their furniture is poor, and their customer service is even worse. If you value quality, service and honesty, do not buy from Freedom.

I then approached Freedom and requested that I wished to refund the order so I can get the chair at the current price and apparently there’s absolutely NO RETURNS on any Freedom furniture for any reason. There’s actually no clause on my receipt that states this clause and you don’t get told this at all. I am extremely unimpressed with how they treat their customers. You can’t even call the store directly to discuss anything it just goes to a central line. I am considering I need to go to fair trading as this seems unreasonable treatment.

Karin was great - knowledgeable, helpful, informative, always there when we needed her, but not at all pushy in any way. She’s a great salesperson both for the business and for the customers. It’s annoying that there are no returns on online items which you can’t see physically, especially when so many of your photos (eg colours of fabrics which I’ve seen in store) are so wildly inaccurate.
