Very sweet talks about what if...but when it comes to reality about claims they don't pay you in spite of sharing 100's of emails back and forth with documentation and proof of why claiming. people to write horrible reviews whether they have used the service or not. Even if this is the last company standing in the world I will go travel insurance less, but not use this trashhole.

The policy amount for a pre-existing condition was exorbitant and was probably not actuarially justified. The quotation to cover the condition made the policy about 4 times as expensive as the one without it, making it more expensive than the flight. pre-existing condition at a fraction of the cost (around 80% less) than Freely wanted to add to the policy. It took more work to find and get the other policy, but it was worth it because it saved a lot. If the insurance company in the destination country can charge so much less based on the data, why does Freely charge so much for this? Anyone with a pre-existing health condition should check the health insurance options available in their destination countries before paying too much with Freely.

App did not work when I wanted to add a few days of motorcycling during our holiday. I rang Freely from overseas to ask whether I could add the extra insurance cover on the phone and pay by credit card, but I was told that it was not possible. Show details ·  3

You have the best web site showing all conditions with explanations which are understandable set out clearly in large text. I found the Preexisting section which we used for both of us was understandable and we could clearly see what was required. Plus your quote is very competitive. Show details ·  1

Excellent cover for both short and long trips — I’ve used Freely for six-month travel and two-week holidays and have been stoked with how easy they make understanding and buying your cover, as well as reach their support team when you’re away. full refund within 14 days. but I had allready paid for hotel and rental car. It was only $500 I was asking Freely to pay and its now been since the 11th of June and they still are asking for extra things and will not pay.

If ur ever going over seas Please dont use Freely travel insurance When we got stuck in bali for a while Flights cancled ect with 4 kids 2 whom were very sick ambulances ect Once back home Thay are hopless with helping with any reimbursement … Read more

Dont use them

Purchased a policy and then cancelled it after 21 days but before I departed on the trip. They charged an arbitrary fee and could not tell me how the fee was calculated. before I depart and they kept copying and pasting other sections that do not apply. Again this implies that no human employee actually knows how their insurance policy works.

So beware that if you have a situation that is not so straight forward they get all confused and don’t know what to do.

Easy to purchase product on line and at a competitive rate and has a broad range of covers included. I have used them before and am happy to recommend them once again. Staff are pleasant and helpful but it does get a bit complicated if you put a claim in while overseas as we found we were dealing with three organisations and the communication between parties could be improved I feel. Ive never used this company before. The site was Easy to use Especially being able to nominate the days for snow cover. Also pleased that I did not have to suffer a phone call from a sales person trying to sell me things I don't need. I hope a claim is as easy as taking out the policy in the first place.
