I placed an order for a bicycle cover and realised almost immediately that I no longer required the item. I submitted a cancellation request on the same day the order was placed. When I requested assistance, Fruugo repeatedly referred me to their standard policy rather than taking responsibility for the fact that a same-day cancellation request could not be actioned before dispatch. The only solution offered was for me to return the item internationally at my own expense.

The return postage quoted was approximately AUD $53 on an item that cost AUD $89.99 delivered. In my view, expecting a customer to pay over half the purchase price in return shipping after attempting to cancel immediately is unreasonable and poor customer service.

What frustrated me most was not the policy itself, but the complete lack of flexibility or goodwill despite the circumstances being clearly explained and acknowledged by Fruugo.

I would strongly recommend that customers carefully consider the return and cancellation implications before purchasing through Fruugo, particularly when products are being shipped internationally from third-party retailers.

Fruugo and no outcome for the A$59.44 spent. Their computer systems are faulty and there appears to be no human tracking or intervention when the emails keep bouncing and 3 computer generated emails in response to each of mine.

the dispute. And they asked me to keep the faulty unit for 30 days "just in case the seller wanted it back". The customer service experience has been so bad I disposed of it already.

Dreadful – I bought a JBL Flip 5 speaker but when it came it was a Fake. I have contacted Fruugo numerous times with photographic and video evidence to prove this but I'm getting nowhere. I just received 4 cast iron barn door hanger wheels specially advertised as cast iron but received 4 cast plastic wheels instead they look the same but plastic...I could have bought cheaper plastic wheels from eBay not using Fruugo again and definitely not recommended this dodgy company

cooks and melts the candy. As you can see in the photo there is only a warming function. In the second photo you can see the false advertising directly mentioning candy freeze dry machine. When I requested a refund, I was told I could only return the item at my own expense, which would cost more than the product itself. Fruugo's only alternative was to offer a $10 refund — less than 10% of what I paid. This experience has been frustrating and misleading from start to finish. I strongly recommend avoiding this company.

When I requested a refund again, Fruugo responded that international shipping is expensive, that the replacement had “no profit,” and suggested I weigh the cover down with heavy objects to stop it blowing away instead of supplying the correct, safe product. Completely unacceptable customer service. The item was misrepresented twice, and the proposed “solution” is inappropriate and unsafe. I won’t purchase from Fruugo again.

way. I needed this part urgently to fix a machine that is essential for my husband’s health, and because I trusted the process, I did not order it elsewhere. That wasted month cannot be given back.

The retailer involved is Wuhan Junbao Technology. Who knows if they ever had the product in the first place? Maybe they never intended to send it, maybe they simply hold customers’ money for weeks and then return it later. Whatever the reason, this behaviour is unacceptable.

Fruugo presents itself as “a global online marketplace connecting millions of shoppers with retailers worldwide,” but with that responsibility comes the duty to carefully vet who they allow to trade under their name. With so many online scams happening, Fruugo should be far more careful about which companies they promote and take commission from.

To make matters worse, Fruugo is practically impossible to contact. There is no clear email, no real customer service link, and the FAQ pages just loop you in circles without any way to reach a human. As a consumer, this feels like complete disregard and lack of accountability.

This was my first experience with Fruugo, and it will definitely be my last. Customers deserve honesty, transparency, and respect — not wasted time, stress, and money tied up for a month with nothing to show for it. Never again.

it was a decorative item only- not at all as they advertised it. I paid $50,which included shipping. I could have gotten this for $5 max at a dollar store. Manufacturer advised they would refund but shipping was expensive so I was told I'd be better off to keep it. I complained Fruugo and basically got the same response- clearly a scam.

Ordered Shure wireless microphone transceivers from Fruggo. Missing parts and gives off terrible hiss when volume is up to specials level. DO NOT BUY.

 Follow-up  · Hi, When I received your product there was a screw missing on one of the transceivers. ( Pictured ) When I use them through my PA system there is a loud annoying hiss. I've tried different microphones and speaker cables. I made sure they were fully charged. I turned them off and back on again but to no avail. tracking page that shows item was shipped, however, there is no where I can escalate the claim. There is NO contact phone number, there is NO email other than a “no reply”. WILL NEVER BUY FROM FRUUGO AGAIN

DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! Charged twice with international fees, nothing received. Still waiting on funds to be returned, had to cancelled credit card. Reported to the ACCC.

 Follow-up  · Never received tech swim suit. Over $500! Went to bank had to cancel credit card disputed transaction to get a refund. Support were hopeless.

found my item by chance. Lucky it wasn’t fragile. Hey maybe the courier was untrained or under pressure and cut corners. But in a competitive market space like that … it’s risky. I didn’t like the AI bot much, all it did was point to the delivery marked as being delivered and “problem solved!” Which was annoying as at that stage I hadn’t found the package that was tossed over the fence. They were responsive when I raised a dispute. Will give them another chance, they did have an item that was hard to find elsewhere, and at a good price. Tracking was seemed too good to be real, seemed like a scam when I couldn’t find my package. Came good in the end.

Fruugo – Terrible service. Ordered part through them. Track my order, says it has an “exception”and to get in touch with company. Trouble is it’s in Chinese. Way past delivery date. Complained earlier and they said they would get back to me. Nothing!! Tried to contact them again but now when I put my order number in it won’t recognise it and just sends me on a loop. within 3 days. I dont know if Google had any influence but I paid through Google Pay. Fruugo take a long hard look at your couriers. Wanbexpress have a shocking reputation.

and also contacted support. Support replied they were only able to cancel one order, as the other order had been shipped out. This was untrue, they did not cancel anything, there was a system error on their end, no stock availability. They processed & shipped out an order regardless of me cancelling both at the same time! I had to pay for the shipping to and shipping return. I waited until product arrived. The products were NOT of the same Uhlsport GK quality gloves. The size & fit were inconsistent to those sold within AUS. They seemed fake. I had to ship back, costing me $100 AUD. Goal keeper gloves did not seem genuine, agents are inexperienced or choose to deflect questions and answers to waist time. It was a disgusting disaster of an experience. I do not recommend at all Buyers beware!

Seller sent wrong items and only offered a 30% refund. When requested a full refund, the seller just closes the case over and over and over again! Tried to contact fruugo but the help section is a bunch of “select this select that” nonsense and you can’t speak to a real person. Some sellers must do this on purpose

I purchased a JBL speaker from Frugo nz and it was blatantly counterfeit. No serial code, the JBL exclamation logos were upside down, the box it came in was blank without a JBL logo on it and the sound quality is trash. The same speakers sell on Ali Express for $40 Buy at your own risk. This company is a scam.

I ordered a portable washing up bowl on 15/03/26. Fruugo confirmed that the order was on its way, due to arrive in March, and provided a tracking number. On 26/03/26 the tracking showed that it had been returned to the sender before it reached Australia. I contacted the company via email and asked for an update. No reply then - and no response from further emails. This company appears to be a total scam and I recommend never buying from them
