Odyssey 3t – So far very happy with purchase for price.took 1.5hrs for 2 of us to assemble. No real issues there.every part and screw was exactly correct . Fired up 1st pop.cooked up rissoles for hamburgers. Perfectly! Seems very strong and sturdily made.hopefully we get a long life from it..Compared to other bbgs in this price range I feel we made a good choice.Thank you Gas Mate. Show details

Forget Gasmate Gas Cartridges for Cooking – Forget the GASMATE cylinders, totally useless. If the weather is chilly they freeze up in no time and make cooking near impossible. Even in warm weather the cylinders freeze up and significantly limit the available heat, requiring cartridge rotation. I needed three to cook hamburger patties. WHAT A SCREWED UP PRODUCT.

Great Bbq – Steak, sausages come out perfect. I have not tried a roast yet. Breakfasts are great too. Cleaning is very easy. Plates in the dishwasher.... paper towel to wipe down the rest.  Show details

sizzles. This thing is so gorgeous it stayed in my lounge room for a week so I could drink beer and admire it before taking it outside. Only issue is the vent holes towards the back can allow bugs and critters in and rain if outside.

Good thing once assembled. Take your time – Got it home and the "installed scews" weren't. But thats ok I just used my brains and worked it out. The igniters didnt work to start with because you have to keep the knob pushed in and wait for the gas to come up from the bottle first time. q Weber for the caravan and this seems every bit as good quality and cooks the same. As long as the quality in material is there, which it seems to be, they arent exactly high tech complex machines

bad design, – Bad design: the burners are facing straight up to the cook. Therefore they get clog down with the fat dripping down from the meat. Also the cast iron grid slots are small, it is not efficient and after handling them out get easily broken Show details

plates are almost directly over the side burners and as a consequence I now have blockages in the burners from the fat & food...very poor design. I agree with others in that fat and food is not contained within the unit but tends to drip out of various holes and from under the range hood. My first 2nd hand Coleman BBQ lasted 18 years and was then passed on...I can't see this happening here!

Poor quality and very poor service from Gasmate – Bought this BBQ from Bunnings just over two years ago. Installation instructions were a disaster. After six months gas bottle became stuck in round hole. Had to empty BBQ of hotplayes turn on side and physically drag gas bottle away. All round poor product. Will be going out on next council pickup.

Handle breaking – I have used it twice and on the second time the handle snapped on me this is disgusting why use such a cheap part when it is important just terrible Show details

Fat everywhere but where it should be – Cooks Well. One burner was broken once installed. Its stuck on and will only turn in the wrong direction. Any fatty foods cooked leak straight through the side holes and all over the BBQ and floor. Show details

Poor design and build – This unit leaks like a sieve. Fat and food fall through gaps in the main body and when using it as an oven the lid is designed so that moisture runs down and escapes all around the perimeter on the outside and eventually all over the floor. Show details

Poorly made – Worst product to assemble. You have to physically bend the equipment in order to construct it. Plastic bends as you construct it indicating that it was poorly designed. Not good Show details

Good little bbq but pathetic Piezo lighter lets this product down – Easy to assemble but the Piezo self ignition failed from the start. I live 90 kms away from the Bunnings store from which I purchased it so not able to go back until several weeks later. light by hand. A reasonable product let down by poor quality. Not sure why Bunnings keeps stocking them.

Piezo failed after 1st use – If you're going to sell a bar-b-que with self ignition, a fundamental part of it is that it will light itself using the piezo igniter. I'm a non smoker, so do not have a lighter. As a result I now have a useless balcony ornament as I can't light it. The only time I did get to use it, it was just okay; struggled to build up any heat with the lid closed. Will be chatting with the retailer to see if I can get a refund.  Show details

Igniter never worked from new – Good BBQ broke the fiddly insulator parts first assembly. Emailed gasmate and they sent out new ones, all good now though a little flimsy. frustration of getting the bbq assembled, we found at least 2 dozen washers left over with no idea where they were supposed to go. Where did these go? On the apparently 'installed screws'? Maybe, but it doesn't say! Because THEY WEREN'T INSTALLED! Then, as we were ready to prepare our dinner, THE LIGHTERS DON'T WORK. We found the piece of paper to call the service line and they're only open Monday to Friday!!!! I'd rather cook my steak over a mosquito coil than deal with this piece of junk again.

Great – The BBQ is a little hard to adjust to at start as it is a learning curve to adjust to it's full potential. I looked at the Webber and decided that what comes standard with the T3 was optional at a high cost with the Weeber. that are available for the Webber you had better take out a extended Mortgage to pay for the extras and the storage unit to store the additional accessories that you may use one day. Some of my friends have Webber BBQ and they have had their BBQ's catch fire and Webber have replaced them at no cost.

Why do you want to go down that track to have it replaced in the fist place with Webber. ( admission of failure )

Good Size For Couple – It took a while to assemble all the little buts but this BBQ is great - especially for a couple. It is easy to start and looks excellent on our patio and takes up very little space. It does an great job with all meats and the searing area is great to. Cleaning is a bit of a chore but that the same for all barbies. I am very happy with this.  Show details

a barbecue match,did singe the hair on my hand first time ,now used many times no more mishaps so far,would have been nice if that had worked as well as everything else,so you only get 4 stars.

Dissapointed and do not recommend – Bought the Professional 4 Burner Kitchen 2 years ago and the ignition switch needs replacing. When I called gas mate, they could not help even though they still the product they don't have the spare parts for the product. I was told to try calling them in a couple of months. amazing. Highly recommend this BBQ so far. Only downside is a little hard to line up some of the bolt holes when installing.

this is great BBQ and easy to use – I got my gas mate about 6 weeks ago and I use nearly every other night I have cooked a chicken' 2 legs of lamb roast beef ,pizza and just BBQ meats to roast and never had a fail with any of it I love my gas mate I recommend.  Show details

the internal piping

The unit is not built the best, the side shelves that you can swing and lock out on the side are poorly designed, you would never want to place your meat on one of these shelves.

And last of all and the most important, the 2 side units are way too low, you simply cannot cook anything on 70% of the grilling space (warms at best)

The middle burner is raised higher thus you can cook sausages at best, but again it takes considerable time. You can close the lid to help but now you cant see whats cooking!

After 9 months of use, I felt sick putting this unit to the curve (costing us $600). I gutted the internals and built my own now producing 3 times the heat.

Last of all (forgot to mention) the spare ignitions rarly work on first attemp, common between 5-10 attempts!

Advice... Buy a different brand that outputs more heat, or buy a more portable unit that has burners closure to the surface of the grill

Does not get hot – Love the idea of this bbq, great for beach locations with the plastic gram and alloy hood. But it stops there.... the jets on the out sides are far to low and there is not enough head to brown a sausage! If you try and roast you cannot do this without the Centre element on high so you will incinerate everything in the centre. I think a redesign is needed for the outer elements.  Show details

been cut properly meaning I can only fasten three legs and the left burner does not ignite, or when manually lit, stay alite. So cooking Christmas roast with two burners. While cooking notice that legs are getting hot, so hopefully the plastic material is heat resistant. also absent are cooking instructions on how to best use this BBQ. Another let down is that standard gas bottles do not fit. Will be contacting Gasmate after Christmas and see what they can do to fix. There is a note not to contact the reseller. Wonder why that would be?

Item received in quick time, very well packed so item was in perfect condition. Dealing with RV staff was excellent, highly recommend them. Show details
