Paid for 1 hr service, technician came and spent 5 minutes looking at the PC and did not try anything. He told me too difficult to diagnose the problem there and would need to take it to the workshop. I asked him that since i paid for an hour i would like to do some more while he is there with me. He said no, so i let them take it and they took… Read more

double the time they promised and showed up 3 hrs late to return it without and diagnosis or solution. I paid them almost $200 for literally nothing

absolutely WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY - i rang geeks 2 u and the number somehow transferred over to geekify. upon talking to someone with a very strong accent, I couldn't not figure out what he said when he answered the phone. I assumed he said geeks 2 you. upon making the booking (on a Tuesday) he then wanted payment upfront of $170.00 and wanted… Read more

my bank card details - which i said I'm not giving until they come out..... I said I'm not paying until they come out (booking was made for the following Thursday) more than 48 hours away. i just felt something was not right, so i rang back 2 MINUTES LATER and informed them i wanted to cancel the appointment - they then proceeded to send me 3 emails - 1 of them stating i needed to pay $170.00 for the call out fee. the Tech never came out; the appointment was only booked 2 minutes before!! Geekify have now emailed saying if i don't pay within 48 hours they will take me to court to get the $170.00. what a joke. i then rang them again (after reading the email about taking me to court) informing them i WILL NOT BE PAYING for something that never happened, and that i only made the appointment 2 minutes ago, and the appointment was more than 48 hours away etc etc...... again, a person with strong accent called [Name Removed], then hung up on me! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I ordered and paid full price for a laptop on 5/2/2026. After 5 weeks I have not received my product and have had absolutely no contact from anyone about why or when I should expect to receive it. Extremely disappointing. Show 2 replies

MY ADVICE BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE AND IN MY OPINION IS TO STAY AWAY FROM GEEKIFY!!!!! ZERO STARS SHOULD BE AN OPTION! Geekify are both RIP OFF MERCHANTS and INCAPABLE of resolving any issues. I was charged $150 and wasted over a month with a tech… Read more

who talked himself up, but who simply performed the same technical procedure that I told him I had already performed and that I advised him Apple had also already performed. On his first visit he advised he would need to use his own equipment as my laptop was too old. He made me pay and sign that the job had been completed and said he would come back to fix this issue and if he was successful, he would charge me (on the side another/under the table) a further $160. I was desperate - and so I agreed. The tech came to my home on multiple occasions because he failed each time to bring some of his equipment. Then he would call to say it was now to late as he would always arrange to come at night. He wanted to take my laptop and phone to his personal residence. Eventually I let him take the phone as it had already been restored to factory settings. But he refused to sign a document and instead took a photo and sent it to me with a text saying he had taken it. On one visit he opened his laptop and had PORNOGRAPHY playing!!!. Although he tried to quickly close the laptop, I had already seen it. Finally after having to become quite assertive, he returned and simply did the very procedure I had very clearly and repeatedly advised to him that I had already performed as had the Apple store. Not surprisingly, the same error occurred and so he finally said he could not help me. I had stated in the beginning that I had hoped to return the new phone I purchased at Apple if this issue could have been rectified within the 14-day return policy. This tech took over a month to do what I had told him had already been done and to then tell me he could not assist me. By this time the new phone could no longer be returned. My email to customer service remains unanswered and it has been over another month since I lodged my dissatifiaction. When I call Customer Service they say a Manger will call back but they have not. When I call to insist on a speaking with a Manager they hang up on me. Customer Service also lied and said they were located in Sydney, but when I asked if they were physically in Sydney as they were speaking with me, they again disconnected the call. They are clearly in the Philippines! I have raised a dispute with my bank fot the $150.(since the service was not delivered) in the first instance and they are still being unprofessional and making it difficult. It seems they have plenty of time to argue to keep my money but no time to train their techs, customer service or managers to deliver the service they advertise. MY ADVICE BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE AND IN MY OPINION IS TO STAY AWAY FROM GEEKIFY!!!!!

Follow-up  · This highly unprofessional company has STILL never reached out to me. ACCC is now looking in to them. I would never reconmend this company to anyone - I would instead caution them based on my experience.

1st visit 5 minutes i needed 'a new router 'get one and I ll call back to finish the job' said Sam. Despite numerous requests he could call again 'for another call out fee' Yes they offered a discount though. So OVERPRICED, POOR SERVICE AND CUSTOMER RELATIONS. Would not recommend.

Follow-up  · Follow up request and had to call another technician to rectify. My review remains the same ..... STEER CLEAR OF GEEKIFY AND USE A RELIABLE AND REPUTABLE TECH COMPANY

Terrible. They didn't manage to clean up my old computer. They stuffed us their appointment times. The charged me $170 for nothing and offered to fix it up for an extra $400. I feel extorted and disappointed. Go to Geeks2U instead. They are much more professional and reliable.

Beware! My husband filled out an online form for somebody to come and fix his computer. He thought he was getting Geeks to U which we know are very trustworthy. They told us it would cost over $400. They then offered to provide us with a new laptop and set it up for us etc. Because we thought we were dealing with Geeks to U we trusted them. I started to get a bit suspicious when the guy left and we then realised that my husband had mistakenly contacted Geekify. To cut a long story short, we ended up getting a new laptop at considerable cost. We did some research and discovered we could have got a new Wifi card for $15 and fit it ourselves! We had other problems which I won't go into but DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE WE MADE. Make sure your are not contacting GEEKIFY. The customer service appalling and they are rip off merchants.

Absolutely terrible experience with Geekify. They didn't show up at all on the scheduled day, and despite numerous phone calls and attempts to follow up, I never heard back from anyone. Had two computer problems. The desktop needed to obtain the Bitlocker Recovery Key- this is a 48 digit code - as the computer was locked and I could not log on. Cloud account which is managed by Microsoft I eventually was able to log onto my Microsoft account and going through various selections was able to identify the Bitlocker Recovery Key which has now restarted my computer system. The other problem was with a laptop that had a DP signal problem. He had the computer reload the settings and reset the system. He left before this process ended. I paid for an hour and was gone after 45 mins. I had tried this process myself many times and at the end the laptop automatically undid the changes. So the laptop is stuck where it was before. [Name Removed] tried to sell me a new computer for $2,000 plus and wanted me to nominate him as the technician to set it up. I asked if he could transfer my information from the old computer to the new one. He said he would need to remove the hard drive from the old one to do it. He would need to take the computer back to the factory to do it because he doesn't have the equipment with him. At the end of the day [Name Removed] achieved nothing. I do not recommend this company. The technicians are sub-contractors which means they work for themselves and have an allocated region to operate in.

Horrible company. Poor coordination, poor management, poor communication. Overall, just a bad company. Takes weeks to get a reply, and it's never good. For a job they said would take 1 week at most, they've delayed again and again. They said I needed 1 part replaced, but it's been months. DO NOT use this company for any reason. They will take months to get back to you. It's a scam.

Absolutely abhorrent service. Charged me for a one hour consult after I had described the issue in detail on their booking form. The technician came out, took one look and said my router needed to be replaced and there was nothing he could do. Then quoted me a $2500 system - for a small terrace house with two people! - and left telling me that… Read more

this happens all the time and he'd just come from another situation exactly the same. It would have been clear based on the information provided in the booking form that nothing could have been done to help me, but they took the money and the booking anyway. Contacted customer service to get a refund - even partial - given that I did not receive an actual service that I had paid for - and they refused completely. So, I paid $165 for a sales pitch, in which I was pitched a system that would have been more appropriate for a small business that for a two person home. And they count the sales pitch as a service! Also, paid for one hour. Guy was here for 15 minutes - three minutes of telling me to replace my hardware, 12 minutes of sales pitch. Could have forgiven that if the customer service was reasonable and they provided a partial refund. But they didn't. They sent me their terms and conditions, which just tells me that ripping off their customers is part of their business model - they've designed their policies around it.

Their company has kept my sisters laptop for around 7 weeks now, after being told they would take 3 days to fix it. On top of them having the pc for 7 weeks they havent even fixed it. My sister is constently draining her money so it could be fixed. My sister told the company to give it back last week and they havent sent an email back to her for when she gets it back. This has been the worst experiance for my sister ever.

My advice is similar to several others - do not use these people. This is a pay up front "Service". company to fix the computer. Geekify neglected to tell their technician and he turned up the next day. I contacted them twice to refund the money I had paid up front because the mistake was made by them. They have not refunded and now I have taken the matter to nsw fair trading. If you have a service grievance with this company take it to fair trading as they compile a dossier on companies like this.

cessation of our working relationship.

When I first engaged Geekify, I did so in good faith, on the understanding that your team would be able to efficiently diagnose and resolve our networking issues. Unfortunately, the experience that followed has been deeply frustrating, operationally disruptive, and costly for our organisation.

The following matters are of significant concern:

1. Failure to advise on VOIP impact Your technician recommended that we upgrade our router and introduce a third-party device. At no stage was I asked whether we operated a VOIP telephone service, nor was I advised that this change would render our phone line inoperable. As a result, our telephone service was down for over a week. We only became aware of this when parents of our students reported they were unable to contact us — an unacceptable risk for our organisation.

When this issue was raised, the technician asserted that he had asked about VOIP. I must state clearly that this conversation did not occur.

2. Incorrect assessment of existing infrastructure The same technician visually inspected our ceiling-mounted WAPs and deemed them “useless,” recommending instead that we purchase a router with two nodes.

3. Inability to install recommended equipment A second technician attended with the recommended products but was unable to configure or install them successfully.

4. Organisational disruption Due to the lack of resolution, I was required to attend the office on a Sunday to attempt configuration myself, achieving only partial connectivity across the building.

5. Faulty hardware and incorrect configuration When the original technician returned, he advised that one node was faulty and required replacement. He then configured the remaining node as an independent router to service a tenant — a solution that was never wanted nor aligned with our needs.

6. Incompatible product recommendation It has since been confirmed — including by your technician directly with ASUS — that the node recommended and supplied by Geekify is not compatible with the router you advised us to purchase. Furthermore, the router recommended had no VOIP cab abilities.

7. Independent technical advice I subsequently sought advice outside of Geekify and was informed that our existing WAP infrastructure is, in fact, high quality and only required reconfiguration to broadcast from the new router. In other words, the only necessary upgrade was a router capable of receiving the NBN signal — not the additional nodes we were advised to purchase.

Given the above, I have lost confidence in Geekify’s technical advice and service delivery.

Accordingly, I am requesting the following:

A full refund for the incompatible node that has already been taken away; or

Collection of the remaining node and a full refund for both devices.

I do not want a replacement device. I do not want any further technical visits. I do not wish to receive any further support or advice from Geekify.

This situation has consumed an inordinate amount of staff time, created operational risk, impose an unacceptable distruption, and imposed unnecessary costs on our not-for-profit organisation.

I would appreciate written confirmation of the refund process and next steps within 5 business days.

Do not use this company. They attempted to rip off my elderly uncle who has early stage dementia. questions and he kept saying "I don't know, I'm just the guy in the middle." He seemed to know very little. I have called 'Geekify' three times to complain and received nothing responses from a call centre person who just kept saying 'terms and conditions'. They seem to be set up and structured purely for price gouging and predatory activity.
