Hi,my genpower sv5000 will start in choke ,then when I turn to run ,it runs for bout 10-15 sec (really loud and rough) then dies,get really hot,,checked carby ,airfilter ,breather on cap,oil,has been running really good for last 6 months,been using atleast once a wk on boat ,output light is green and stays on?

Just pulled it out of the box, filled with the correct oil, fueled and the pull cord won't pull...like the motor is seized. Am I doing something wrong or is this faulty from new? I feel if I try and pull any harder, I will snap the pull cord. Any ideas?

Just replied to Darren again from Edison’s, I will not consider a repair on a faulty generator straight out of the box, not an option my friend….as a consumer I am entitled to a replacement or a refund…ask Darren for my details

Hi, the specs say "Engine Oil Type 10W-30 non-synthetic engine oil " but there are mostly semi and full synthetic types of oil in the market. Can it be run with semi synthetic or full synthetic oil as normal petrol engine should be good with synthetic type of oil ?

Will the Genpower SV5000 adequately run my small caravan lights and small fridge. Possibly a microwave oven on occasion. Not looking to to have to much going at same time but in case I need to free camp overnight somewhere? Cheers Geoffro
