I have a 145.2. Performed well in early days but now when I really need it the water started gushing out of the handle. Bought a new Spray Gun and Lance. Now the main issue is the attachment of the water hose to the New Spray Handle keeps spitting out. Have tried O Ring replacement etc but no luck. Is there a way I can change the connection to get a more robust connection. Rgds Richard

I have a Gerni Super 140.2 Plus. The handle was leaking badly so was able to buy a new handle at a reasonable price. But I have a new problem. The hose won’t retain a connection to the handle. Is it simply a task of replacing the O-rings? There is a small O-ring and a larger one. Thanks for any help on this.

Have the same problem Andrew. Hoping to get a response from someone as I cannot see the current connection setup staying connected. Hope we get a response.

Hi Andrew - Spent most of the day trying to get the hose to stay connected to the spray gun. Finally decided to take a chance. Got out the Stanley Knife and cut the foreskin off the hose (about an mid size O Ring piece. Winner!!! It gave the fitting that little bit extra penetration and allowed the inner wire clips to properly engage the hose fitting. Hope this is of help to you

I've had the same problem but it was only the once. Got a new handle under warranty and has been good ever since. Check the little O ring on the hose into the handle. It may be cut or frail.

Internal hose is split how do you separate the body to get to the hose. Have removed all the screws I can see?

I have a Gerni super 145.2 and when I turn it on I have power on the machine but the water pressure coming from the nozzle is only tap water pressure. The machine is not reving like it does when working. How do I remove the front cover to check the motor?

I’m planning to buy a pressure washer and thinking to buy gerni 160.3. But I was shocked about so many bad comments about the trigger, some say The G5 gun is the upgraded version of G4 now, i’m Worried that if i’m going to buy gerni 160.3 and will get a rubbish handle, I don’t think it’s worth to spend that much..thinking to buy now STIHL. I have a winner 10 for more than 9 years still working no leak but the downside is the pressure..I need a stronger washer..what can you say? Thanks!

The Gerni with the upgraded Trigger/Handle is a very powerful and reliable machine, last I heard the 160.3 comes with the new model trigger but check it out first as the old one is a definite no go from me.

Hi I’ve used my Gerni Super 135.3 twice now over the 3 month period and unfortunately due to a fault it has been repaired once and replaced once. I want to trouble shoot what is going on as I’m very disappointed. I just opened the replacement from the box, attached the hose fitting, plugged in the hose, turned on the water gently and switched the machine on. From here the machine motor hummed nicely then cut off when ready. Right at the point of cut off the hose water blasts through the fitting and gushes inside the unit and floods the area. This has now happened 3 times. What am I doing wrong? I want to get this sorted as I’ve only washed one car and cleaned one deck to date. Please help

Assuming you had the trigger on and still nothing? as you would be aware it will cut out almost immediately when the pressure builds up, how old is the machine?

Hey Nick

Bunnings should have parts and accessories.

Tony

Hi Nick, Your local Bunnings will most likely have the new hose, but I am not sure they will stock the updated gun with the brass internals so make sure you check the gun first, do not recommend purchasing the old/original style gun as this is very prone to internal failure even with careful use, hope this helps:) PS if they don't have it you can buy it online from a couple of suppliers for around $80-85 delivered

Hi I have a Gerni 145.2, about 6 years old, it has consistently played up over the past 3-4 years, stoping starting etc. This week I went to Bunnings and they told me it has a 5 year warranty (my manual quotes only 2 years) if I had known this I would have returned it 2 or more years ago instead of putting up with it. It now won't work at all. Be warned. It has not been used that much just domestically, pavers etc. Help anyone?

If your machine is stopping and starting it usually means it has a pressure leak somewhere, from my experience it is typically one of the o-ring seals that has failed, My machine would always go around the trigger mechanism as well, as the casing was weak, I now have the updated/upgraded model with a metal assembly and have had no trouble to date, when you say it wont go any more, are you saying that the electric motor is not starting at all? If so, I would say you may have got water in the motor in which case not sure how you would go with warranty, hope this helps, good luck!

Won’t turn off when you let go of trigger ?

Tony

You may have a pressure leak internally, seal, gasket or O-ring perhaps, hopefully you are still in the warranty period? I have had no issues with my machine apart from the constant replacement of o-rings and the gun handle, I now have upgrade to the newer model handle with brass internal parts and have had no issue to date................touch wood and fingers crossed, good luck

If its just a ball bearing I would try a bearing supply place. Find the OD, ID and width or just take it to them.

I purchased a 145.3 Gerni a month ago from Bunnings. Have been using it to clean concrete paths. Have done about 5-6 hours in total with about 1 to 11/2 hours twice a day. Have done about 5-6 hours work and today the motor is dead. Power drills work on the power point but nothing with the Gerni, Any ideas?

That doesn't sound good! I flog my Gerni and I've never had it just stop like this. I can think of three possibilities. 1.If it was a very hot day maybe the electrics just shut down. 2. Some water got into the electrics. Maybe leave it for a few days to cool down and/or dry out and try to start it up again. If you still have no joy (possibility 3) It might just have broken very prematurely and a warranty inspection and replacement is in order. Good luck.

Thanks Tony for your suggestions. The Gerni started the fourth day after a very hot day and I have done 2 days work with no problems since. I was preparing to return it to Bunnings when next in town. I was using the Gerni Drainage attachment, which came with the machine to clean a blocked under ground drainage pipe, the evening before it would not start the next morning. The attachment has 4 very small jet outlets, which must have caused an internal leak over night - too much pressure for the small outlets I feel. The Gerni did not stop while working, only over night. The drainage pipe is still blocked and requires a plumber with a screw gear to fix it. I won't be trying the Gerni attachment on pipes again. Thank you once again for your suggestions. Cec G.

Purchased from Bunnings in early November 2014 and used my new Gerni 145.2 on two occasions without any problems whatsoever. Excellent and very good indeed. This morning from when I turned it on after a few moments the pressure drop to near zero, but then recoups and so forth - again and again... Can someone please help?

GIOC Caon Re your Gerni145.2. Cant explain your particular problem, but suggest you return your unit to Bunnings and tell them what`s happening.Take your receipt and go to special orders. This machine has a 12 month warranty, and they deal with it promptly and courteously.Told me my handgun would take up to 10 days to replace. They rang me after 3 days and said it was there to pick up. Regards Ian C
