Love our house – The workmanship of our house was very good as we have built 12 other homes. Every small detail was attended to with minimum fuss. Nothing was too much trouble. They were the only builder in Cairns prepared to build in Yungaburra for us without extra cost involved. Yungaburra is about 1 hour from Cairns. Rubbish, avoid at all costs – We bought a house that GJ Gardner built approx 7 years previously and the finish is poor, the quality of material were appalling i.e. non galvanised nails in exterior areas, soft wood for hand rails, ballustrades, and fixtures that don't conform to safety standards. pleasent sales staff who helped me indentify a home that suited my needs. i decided to personalise the design a little to make it my own again this was met with enthusiasim and helpfull advice . Within days my new design had been completed and priced .We then began the build process and I was very impressed to have regular updates on progress and every now and then I was taken on site for a visit to see how it was all going and again to my delight I was met with enthusiasim as everyone involved was keen to see my reaction to my new home . At no time was i under any stress but I guess one of the things that impressed me most was the fixed contract price there were no requests for additional money as has been the case for a few of my friends that did not choose GJ Gardner Homes .
