quality home. Even whilst my job was quite a simple job in a very busy building market, my journey was smooth from start to finish, and everyone in the team made me feel like a truly valued client on the journey to a new home.

I had a wonderful experience working with the team’s designers and colour consultants, who created a fantastic house design for me that made excellent use of my block. They were exceptionally supportive throughout the selections process.

Once I signed the contract, the pre-build planning and management (from start to finish) was exceptional. Even in a stressed market, all necessary approvals were obtained on-time, and orders for all materials were placed well in advance to account for potentially longer lead-times. During the build, the principal and the site supervisor were fantastic communicators. They were in contact with me weekly about the progress of the build, and promptly consulted with me when issues or questions arose. If I had any questions, they were always available on short notice to talk through matters in detail. Overall cost was precisely as estimated, and the team was very accommodating of all my variations throughout the build.

In the end, my build suffered almost no delay from when the slab was laid, and my house was handed over to me only a short time after originally scheduled.

My finished house is top-notch - built to a very high standard. It was clear to me throughout the build that the principal builder is very skilled, thorough, and thoughtful about every aspect of his work. He also chooses to work with excellent suppliers and subcontractors - the quality of all work and finishings is excellent.

As with any project factoring a multitude of variables, things can and will go not quite to plan. The GJG North East team were prompt with communication and took the time to talk through differences to what was contracted when it occasionally occurred. Options/alternatives were offered, and more often than not, the work-around was in my favour and a better option than I’d originally planned/considered. The quality of finishes were to a very high standard, and cost-wise – variations were by my preference.

The team ensured that my massive, life-altering decision was as stress-free as practicable through efficient management and communication, and even managed a few laughs along the way. I felt the team went over and above to design, build and fit out my exquisitely completed Home, and I couldn’t be happier with the final result.
