Poor Service and lack of communication – After spending close to 1 Million dollars we were treated like we were dirt. When we complained about the floor surface in the master bedroom we were told "put a bed over it" or “take it to the building Commission”. We have been mislead and lied to, contacting the Principles all we get is an email both threatening and inaccurate. Never Never deal with this company they are totally untrustworthy and misleading.

To be honest - What was to be our last home and a pleasurable experience turned into a nightmare.

No communication between Building Supervisor and Company and us. None of their promises were ever kept. Rude and threatening

Hello Christine, Frank and John. I’m Ross Morley, Managing director of GJ Gardner Homes Vic/Tas

We are genuinely concerned that your building experience has lead you to this point of frustration. After discussions with the office who built your homes I understand you have a hand over meeting with Craig the owner of the business booked for 3:00pm this Friday. Hopefully together you can come to agreement on the couple of issues you have raised. Should this not be the case you welcome to call me on 03 9338 5588.

Well things have gone from "BAD" to worse. The Builders finally rectified the entire floor in the house because the surface was lifting due to poor workmanship (and were made to eat their words of "put a bed over it" or “take it to the building Commission”.) This was followed by the roof leaking and requiring a plumber to fit additional down pipes due to the inadequate number being installed to disperse the water originally (- we had to find the plumber to do the job.) This required paint and plaster to be repaired and or replaced. The latest and most dramatic is our garage floor which is an area of 7x7 meters with polished stone and clear sealant, has now started to lift and peel. Along with cracks appearing in the driveway and paint lifting on that as well causes severe distress. This along with items like the Dishwasher not working because they had balanced it on a half brick and a few tiles therefore restricting the water flow is only the tip of the iceberg. To repair this problem we were forced to get the Miele Mechanic to fit it correctly at our cost and so the list goes on. Overall if you were buying a car for a million dollars and it had the number of faults that this project has had then there would be more exposure on National television and press than anyone could dream of. Anyone contemplating building with this Company either has more money than sense or this what you expect from a group of builders who know that most likely they will never see or hear from their customer again and do not care about the words "After Sales Service". Had the original project been built correctly and short cuts not taken then there would have been any requirement for any "After Sales Service". We now are considering selling and getting away from this nightmare.

Hi Christine and Frank Thanks for taking my call today and from our discussion this is my understanding of the situation.

. House flooring - has been fully rectified by the builder . Roof gutter leak - has been fixed, paid for by the builder . Paint and plaster - has been fixed, paid for by builder . Garage floor - you hadn't actually notified the builder so they were unaware there was a problem at all. They will be in touch to work out what needs to be done. . Drive - repairs were recently carried out by the contractor involved . Dishwasher - understand you incurred a cost from the local plumber to fix the pipe, we would be happy to cover the cost for this. Please call me on 03 9338 5588 should this not be correct or if I have missed anything. Mel and Craig who built your home do build a good product and these issues are not normal. If you have any concerns please don't hesitate to contact myself on the number above. Regards Ross Morley Managing Director GJ Gardner Homes Vic/Tas
