inspection. No dishwasher and tenants still there.. photos were photo shopped to the Max, the stairs that were claimed to be internal were the original outside stairs. The garages were more liveable then the house.. there was mould, the kitchen downstairs were the 'laundry is' you could see the sun coming through the wall. Did I mention mould?

The downstairs was not up to code.. it was a glorified dump!! Downstairs floor to ceiling was 6ft 2 Max.

We then get a random email saying we weren't approved.. we didn't want it!! We were approved for another 2 story house that didn't lie about its listing, the photos matched.. and thankfully it's not with this useless real estate.

We dodged a bullet.. I emailed the lady who had the listing, of course she never responded. But she's a business owner, go figure!

Worst Company Ever. Avoid them at all costs – I made a booking with Go Gecko, lost my new job because of COVID-19 and decided to cancel my move and stay with family in the short term. Beware of sales tactics – The agent put a sale price on our home which we thought was fair. We noticed at that time that 'onthehouse' website dropped our value so I called and they said the agent did that. After 2 weeks no offers so we were told to drop the price. originally set. I became suspicious so I told him we might take off the market. Next day the agent had a 'friend' who was interested at a much lower price. We had another group come for a second look. Then we had 3 offers at once. When I told the agent to counter offer they refused and said the original offer (the friend) had the best offer. The agent knew we needed to sell quickly (unfortunately we told them that) so we felt cornered as we already had to pay the advertising fee. I realize we all think our house is worth more but I have never felt good about the sale especially seeing the much higher sales in the area at the same time and our home was very comparable. I kick myself for not standing my ground so I guess my advice is to do your homework on the value and insist they counter offer any offer you are not happy with.

[Personal Name Removed] has been in the business for a decent amount of time and has his position on the line if his franchise does not succeed. OK, the right buyer must come along but I did my homework on estate agents this time and many do photo's themselves, think open homes are a waste of time and charge the disgusting 'state guideline' percentage rate which would have seen me part with over $18,000 after the sale. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. My house was 3 kondalilla Parade, Forest Lake and I am a fair dinkum seller with a beauty bonza ripper outcome. The estate agent did their best to do what they are supposed to do. I'm sceptical about the exorbitant cost of a posting for one month on realestate.com, but it sold so?.....

- dog poo in the backyard (this was the landlords dog who had been there on the weekend, not ours)

We even spoke to the landlord who said they were happy with the state of the house before we had to pay a 300$ cleaning bill according to this real estate, plus pest control which was done a month before anyhow...

Once we proved these claims were ridiculous that was the end of it...

Seems like they try and trick you into getting the most money they can from you.

Would not recommend.

Go Gecko Calamvale - Not recommended – Dodgy. Worth the money. But just need to be very careful and follow up with every single step of the processes carefully. Every small step missing, will cause you money.

So far this has not been a productive experience!

By contrast, questions to another agent via their Head Office were answered within hours. Nothing so far. Lack of response.

This is how Go Gecko sell houses – Go Gecko tell you your house is worth more than other real estate agents. You take their word for it. House goes on market and at this point they are hoping it sells without them having to work for it. If it doesn't sell they tell you various lies such as "someone's interested but needs to sell theirs first" or "have you got plans for your house… Read more

as they need to build a shed and need to understand if they can do do it' or " someone wants to come back for another viewing".

Basically they will try to stall you until you get a buyer but they are lying- all a load of lies to keep you on their books. They'll lie and deceive-- don't believe anything they say about their skills in marketing your house or what your house is worth. Eventually you will reduce until you find a buyer at the original price quoed by a real estate agent, so you would have been better going with the real estate agent in the first place.

For what it's worth we learned the hard way. I guess we relied on them being professional and especially in a market where every penny counts - more fool us. We were gullable but one things for sure- never again. As the saying goes, pay peanuts get monkeys. We learned the hard way. They are professional cowboys- don't be fooled like we were. Good luck.

They ask for up to $1000 for a marketing package, which is a joke and then once sold will only ever get another $1000 for their effort.

Stay away from these cowboys, they will not sell your property and if they do they will not negotiate the best price for you!

We didn't mind paying up front for the advertising fees because most of the typical agents we called in to discuss selling our home asked for payment of advertising up front. No other agent offered the same commission. Overall we thought they were terrific. They wanted to do 2 open homes on Saturdays. We eventually agreed but maybe one was enough but we guessed they should know what is best.

when it came to honesty and customer service. We had to pay for advertising, but it wasn't much and the other Real Estate Agents include that in their commission anyway. We did have to pay for Open House inspections, but this was just for the advertising which was reasonable. Realiable, efficient, honest.

agencies were much the same but once they asked the question if we had any other agents coming to see us and we mention Go Gecko everything changed. All the agents wanted to do was bag Go Gecko and there services saying things like they charge for open homes, part time agents, no experience, unprofessional ect.

No one should bag another person or company until they have there own opinion that is why we made up our minds to use Go Gecko. As soon as we meet the team from Go Gecko Aspley our worries were taken away as they explained step by step the process of what to expect in the sale of our house. Nothing was to much to asked from Go Gecko and none of he above so call things they don't do were true. We have and will continue to tell everyone we meet what a great job the team from Go Gecko Aspley did for us - by the way saved us enough money in commissions that we finally had a chance to take that over seas trip.

My advise don't listen to much to what other agencies say get a few of them out and make up your own mined, or save the hassle and just ring Go Gecko Aspley.
