What a joke
Purchased the top of the range Tineco stick vacuum from the lake haven store, after using the machine and realising that it worked poorly on our tiles I tried to return it within the 30 day period to get our money back. We were told that they only do refunds if items are returned within 10 days (nowhere in their returns policy mentioned this) and said the best they could do is offer an exchange. Expecting me to exchange the top of the range stick vacuum which work poorly to something of a lesser value.
What a waste of time and money. Staff are the lake haven store are clueless and the regional manager constantly talks over you on the phone.
Spend your money elsewhere.
The Cons of Vacuums.
DONT let them sell you their Wertheim brand of vacuum!!!
Was told it would be better than a Dyson. $800 down to $700 if I bought it there and then. Was told to believe in the lifetime warranty.
Broke the clip on one of the parts. They won't accept a return. Bought a Dyson for the time being whilst I tell everyone not to buy from these scums.
Whirlpool reckons your Worm vacuums are worth $100 in parts. It definitely felt like a cheap kmart vacuum.

Fantastic all round
I had great service from Dennis at Chatswood Godfreys. Very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me choose the wonderful Hoover Zenith stick vacuum cleaner. In the past not impressed with Chatswood Godfreys service but Dennis was faultless. Both Dennis and the Hoover Zenith vacuum are fantastic.
Customer service @ Godfreys Wangaratta it is extremely good.
I went to the store to buy vacuum cleaner the knowledge they carry and the explanation on the product are incredible and they know exactly what we want.
Highly recommend the store at Wangaratta to visit for extremely friendly and efficient service have recommended many of my friends to visit and purchase from the godfreys Wangaratta.
I bought a Hoover Action bagless vacuum August 2020. Great vacuum. Lightwheight and easy to use powerful quiet. Best vacuum I have ever owned.Did everything I wanted it for. Couldn't be happier
purchased a tineco vaccuum at a cost of $1100 from Godfrey's rockingham wa store right from day one the power head does not have working lights. They are happy to send for service not replace a brand new head with one that is working properly from the start. All their response is these things happen and you will just have to be without a vaccuum for the 3 weeks they need to repair it. Very poor customer service on new item will not shop their again.
top notch service, nice to go in and chat to people that know what they are talking about, fantastic value for money, wouldn't go anywhere else, i bought a carpet, shampooer, a hoover, a tile cleaner, thrilled to bits with every item, definitely recommend Godfreys everytime
Absolutly digusted with customer service, repairs and products
Vacuum cleaner kept blocking up in hose, sent off to be repaired, after weeks it came back with their only action being that they unblocked the hose... that was the whole point of sending it off, the hose keeps blocking no matter how many times I unblock it, the staff then informed me I had the wrong vacuum type for my small 2 bedroom unit, when I bought it a staff member recommended it to me, turns out the staff member who recommended it is the store manager. I also bought a steam mop off them that is the worse steam mop I have ever used. I will never set foot in this store again.
Terrible products and awful customer service
Expensive machine - sent it for repair soon after I bought it
Was in their shop for 6 weeks before I called to find out where it was
No apologies and it was basically thrown at me
I brought it home and it was filthy so I don’t think any work was done
The customer service told me I could bring it back for cleaning but they had followed their internal processes
Honestly I’m so upset - more by their attitude
They really don’t care - they told me to go the acc
Worst customer service on the planet
Dropped off an hoover vacuum because of a terrible smell. The vacuum was serviced and returned smelling horrendous. I will never ever purchase anything from godfreys every again. After sales service is the WORST.
Took my sauber in as the power head wasn’t working. The orange light kept flickering which indicates there’s a problem. BUT it still made the normal power head sound when u turn it on, just the green light not showing because of course it wasn’t sucking up anything. They call n said it’s the hose but I’ve replaced the hose like 2 years ago n this is a vacuum I Hardly use as we have a smaller vacuum for small jobs. Got it back, not only my vacuum looked like it had been dragged around on top it has so many scratches it looked like it’s been used...for how many years n sits outside everyday n the hose is definitely different n no sound from power head no orange like completely dead! Rang the store says definitely mine. Hmm Ok must’ve dragged it around too much I have no real proof apart from the scratches. BUT I’m not stupid the hose is definitely different. Like I said I KNOW my vacuum n looked after it n this hose is old looked n feels different when u connect it to the vacuum. The part where u connect to the vacuum my one was black n shorter than this blue one n this one seems a bit longer than the one before. N there was ALWAYS a clicking sound when u connect the hose to vacuum so please don’t keep saying it’s the same one. To remove the hose u have to push it down, now, you have to try n pull the hose to remove it from the vacuum. The hose I had before was also bigger when I hold it my hand. Has the hose somehow shrunk since being taken for repairs? People at the store can say all they like but that’s it they are not the ones at their repair shop so really I don’t think they should keep saying no customers are wrong coz unless they were the actual ones repairing it then they shouldn’t keep saying no that’s the one n it came in like that. I refused to change the hose as I can’t believe it’s the hose as it’s been repaired not long ago n hardly use. N to come back with power head not working AT ALL WTH! The lady saying no it says on the note when I brought it in blah blah well is it my fault whoever wrote it down just wrote whatever they wanted when I freaking brought it in coz power head wasn’t sucking but light n sound was on. You’d wouldn’t know what you’re talking about when your just at the shop n don’t know what goes on when they take people's stuff to get fixed. Look into people who are doing repairs cz it looks as if they are freaking crooks doing anything to get more money. Easy to say oh it’s the same serial number for the one u bought, well easy for whoever fixed it to remove the sticker out back n stick it onto a new vacuum. Would love to smack the hose on whoever repaired my vacuum. Return the hose it came with. I will gladly take it elsewhere to fix n will bring you receipt as proof that I don’t mind the price but somehow the stuff the repairer says needs replacing don’t make sense when it was hardly used. Yea change the filter alguds, or the power head but to say the hose when it was hardly used, I say no to replacing it n it comes back with a different one tricky guys cool trick. Been swapped so I can return it n say yea sure go ahead n replace it. Big assumption no it’s not cz like I said at the top, u push it down to release the hose, n it clicks when u connect it back to vacuum. I’ll take it elsewhere to replace the hose for sure n will return this old one for your repairer to keep but he ain’t getting my money thank you.

Fantastic vacuum cleaner!
I brought a Hoover Tornado vacuum cleaner from my local Godfrey store at Lakehaven. Was looking at a cheaper vacuum cleaner but the chappy showed me the difference in suction, was soo glad I upgraded to Hoover tornado, it’s a little beauty, powerful but small enough for me to handle( I’m 66) the big wheels on it a great and all over design is terrific. Have always found my Godfreys store very helpful and honest too.
Unhelpful , bad attitude
We received the call from P. ,Manager of Glendale Store , informed that the Vacuum cleaner which had been drop off 3 weeks earlier for repair . There were problems with the vacuum unit and the power heads. Originally we opted for purchase a New One . Note : we have bought 5 x vacuums / Bissell carper cleaner previously at the same store . P. advised that our faulty vacuum is the top of the range , so better to repair . We follows his advice and being quoted for $350 for repair the vacuum unit & the power head .

Rude staff lied to my elderly parents and pushed them into buying a $1,300 vacuum cleaner!
Yesterday my elderly parents went to the Punchbowl, NSW Godfreys store to get their old vacuum cleaner repaired. They had absolutely no intention whatsoever on buying a new vacuum cleaner. They just wanted to repair their old one and that’s it. But the salesman (I don’t know his name) told them that because their vacuum cleaner is old - there are no spare parts to repair it with anymore and that their only choice was to trade in the old one and buy a new one. Then he pushed my parents into buying a new vacuum cleaner; but not just any vacuum cl...eaner, he pushed my elderly parents into buying the most expensive model in the store, the Wertheim 7000 Series for a whopping $1,300! He said he’ll do trade in for the old vacuum cleaner and give a paltry 10% discount. And this is during the End of Financial Year Sale! Even the best brands like Miele go for average of $500-$600 with 20-50% discounts during EOFY Sales. My parents weren’t very happy about this, but ultimately settled on a $300 discount for the most expensive vacuum cleaner in the store at more than double the cost Miele, the top brand in Australia. My parents only settled on this because they felt they had no other choice and they felt pressured into buying a new vacuum cleaner. When they told me about it afterwards, needless to say, I wasn’t very happy. Anyone whose elderly parents were pushed into buying something they didn’t even want, and for a rip off model at more than double the price of the top brand in Australia, would be pretty upset! I told my parents to get a refund, but they were scared to go by themselves, because they didn’t want to be confronted by the pushy salesman again, so I had to go with my mum. The next day, I went to the Punchbowl store with my mum to get a refund. We spoke the same salesman that pressured my parents into buying the vacuum cleaner, and guess what was one of the first things he said to us? “Do you feel like you were tricked into buying this?” So he knew very well he tricked my elderly parents into buying a rip off product they never wanted in the first place! He knew exactly what he was doing and took advantage of my elderly parents! When he was processing the refund for us, he said it would be by card. My mum said she paid by cash, so the refund should be paid by cash. But the salesman just said “No, I’m giving you the refund by card.” without any explanation whatsoever. I told him that in Australia we process refunds by the method the payment was made in. So if the payment was by card, the refund is by card. If payment was by cash, the refund is by card. But instead of politely giving us an explanation, he gave us a rude attitude. He leaned forward from the counter and looked dead in my mum’s eyes and said in demeaning tone, “Mam, yesterday did we talk about a refund??? No! We didn’t! So I didn’t tell you we only do refunds by card! So you don’t know about it!” Then he turned to me and has the audacity to stare at me with a threatening look and say, “Don’t give me that attitude! Take your attitude elsewhere!” Then he finally explained that there’s not enough cash in the till to give cash refunds. Had he explained this first, we would have accepted it as a perfectly acceptable reason. But no, he didn’t give any sort of explanation until the end after I got upset! And then he has the audacity to tell me not to give him an attitude when he was the one that pushed my elderly parents into buying a rip off product, didn’t give us an explanation for card refund and talked to my mum and myself in a demeaning tone and stared at me in a threatening way! After processing the refund, he said he’ll take my parents’ old vacuum cleaner for repair, but there might not be spare parts, but he’s not sure, and it’ll probably cost $300-$400. Hold on a second. Didn’t he say yesterday for certainty there are no more spare parts, because the vacuum cleaner is old? So now all of a sudden spare parts might be available? This guy literally LIED to my parents and pushed them into buying a new vacuum cleaner for $1,000 yesterday! After getting home I was extremely upset. I called head office to file a complaint. The staff I spoke to was very polite and apologetic about what happened. And she also explained to me that it is Godfreys’ store policy to only process refunds by card, and not by cash. So when the salesman told us he couldn’t do refunds by cash, because there’s not enough cash in the till, he was LYING to us again! Godfreys’ Punchbowl store is our local store; we have always bought our vacuum cleaners from this store. But after our recent experience, we are NEVER stepping foot into that store again! In fact, if it weren’t for the head office staff who was so courteous and polite to me on the phone, we would have never step foot into again Godfreys store again.
Great service. Lots of products
I went into Godfrey’s to check out the prices of a new vacuum, I’d had only ever brought cheap ones. The guy in there was very helpful. Showed my different styles and I got to see the work. I went away and thought about it. I then came back with what one I wanted. I ended up buying the next model up. Came with 2 heads which I don’t use both. But os far it has been great.
Went to Godfrey Croydon store to purchase a vacuum cleaner I found the staff helpful and knowledgeable In regards to what best suited my needs. The staff member was patient and explained and gave comparisons between the vacuum cleaners that I was choosing this allowed me to make an informed chose of product. I would recommend this store to anyone wanting to purchase a vacuum cleaner for specific needs..happy customer
Poor after sales service
I had to return my machine to the store 3 times before they would offer me a replacement. It was the same error every time. The people in store even told me that the service techs did not have a big enough space to replicate my error. I have owned a machine for 9 months now and i have been able to use it for 3 as it has been in the shop so much. I received my replacement and within 9 days of owning this one - it had died. They are still refusing me a refund. I wonder how long they will keep replacing products??!!??
Non Existent Customer Service
We returned a Vax stick vac to Godfreys Castle Hill Store to be repaired under warranty on 24 April. It was sent back to Vax for a simple hose repair and it has not been returned to us - it has now been six weeks. We have contacted the Castle Hill store a number of times for updates. We were told that staff would follow up and call us back with an update and no one called us back. My husband attended the store and, since the vacuum wasn't returned to us in a reasonable amount of time, asked for a replacement. We were told we would have to conta...ct head office about this. We contacted head office and they said that we would need to speak to the store's Area Manager. We contacted the store again and asked for the Area Managers details, which we were told we couldn't have. We have now been told that there is nothing that Godfreys can do and we need to deal with Vax directly. This to us seems ridiculous as the transaction we made was with Godfreys, not Vax. Godfreys Castle Hill have shown a complete lack of customer service on what should have been a straight forward simple repair and were resistant to beIng helpful in any way. Will be steering clear of Godfreys for any future purchases! Update: Have spoken to Vax and found out that they didn’t receive our stick vac from Godfreys until 1 June, nearly 6 weeks after we returned it Godfreys! No wonder they didn’t want to give us an update. The incompetence at Godfreys is mind blowing!

I went into your Castle Hill store to buy a Miele product and mentioned the earlier post about Godfrey's price matching. The rude staff attendant denied the price match policy. I showed him the earlier post - but he still refused to price match. Isnt that misleading and deceptive conduct? Wonder if the ACCC should be looking into it??
I'm really not sure bout that I don't work for Godfrey I just wrote my review for campbelltown store and staff if you feel you are right contact the accc. If it is advertised as they will match it make sure you have photo proof from in store on on their online page. Good luck sorry I couldn't help more

WHERE IS MY ORDER? I ordered a Hoover Tornado bagels vacuum last week Thursday and it’s almost been a week since and still nothing. How come I can’t track my parcel either???
We are very sorry about the delay in the arrival of your delivery.
Australia Post have advised that they are severely inundated with deliveries and are experiencing up to 2 weeks delays in processing freight.
They have been moving items manually to expedite the process meaning freight has been moving without triggering scan points.
They closed all depots across their network on the weekend for new freight and worked triple shifts to clear their floors of all delayed articles, they are still currently working through this.
Your order is on it's way.
Again, we apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.
