Everything arrived – We had a big move from Northern Beaches NSW to Gold Coast . It was a full four bedroom house and items included a grand piano , a car and some heavy items as well as many fragile items , glass collection , chandelier , paintings etc. The moving consultant was prompt and inspired confidence and was available for questions. However I think we… Read more

should have asked more questions. E.g. I was assured that fragile items too large for us to pack ( lamps, oversized art works , etc. ) would be handled correctly by movers . Unfortunately this was not to always be the case. Although large items all arrived safely, including piano, car and most of the furniture. It was disappointing to have two mirrors broken ,lampshade totally damaged, picture frames gouged and several wooden furniture items with pieces broken off. We paid a large insurance premium and to be fair I have not yet made a claim as the details required were “ date of purchase” etc. Many of the broken items where items we had had for some time and more sentimental than valuable . My thoughts were that the loading staff were given too much work , their leader had already unloaded a truck before arriving at our job, the two men worked flat out to load our house that day. We also had items in Storage which were loaded another day by a different crew. It all came together and was delivered to our new home a few days earlier than planned at our request . The unloading crew , at least four staff were caring and efficient. They seemed quite unhappy to discover mirrors broken, wooden furniture damaged etc. My overall thoughts were that this was a difficult move at a busy time . More communication about the packing of fragile items was required. This would have avoided the disappointment of breakages. Many boxes looked as if they were dropped or crushed . So what started to appear a 5 star service and a 5 star price , becomes a 3 star move at a 5 star price. With just a small adjustment on the handling and packing I’m sure many more customers would be happy .These are a few of the items damaged , the larger furniture and frames damage difficult to photograph .

turned up and failed to unpack a single box even though that was something we paid for and in fact delivered our table with a broken leg. They put our bed together but screwed the support legs in on an angle which after many calls to Grace customer service got someone out to fix the delivery guys poor hasty work. The branch manager was contacted to rectify issues but he fobbed us off with an email. It took 3 weeks with constant phone calls to get fixed. My recommendation would be to anyone thinking of getting a removalist to definitely use another company.

Follow-up  · The repair is still holding together but the breakage shouldn’t have happened if care in handling was taken. Other furniture had issues such as the handling of our tv which was delivered with oil and grease all over the screen from the delivery employees hands. Grace packed, relocated and stored a 4 bedroom house. Everything happened as planned, and the team (Richard, Lejla, Adam, Pete, Murray, Trent, Daniel, Jessie, and Liam) has been responsive, helpful, and extremely good-natured. Thanks so much!

Found Grace efficient - came from Wollongong and packed very professionally one day and moved us the next with absolutely no problems at all. Due to our dithering an expensive wine fridge was not moved on the main removal day - Grace came the following day and delivered the wine fridge to Menangle from Wollongong free of further charge! Would always get Grace removals

Moved from NSW to QLD, furnished arrived and we had so many damages, items placed in sideways and so many things got crushed! They even hit walls while carrying furniture and said it wasn’t bad as they knew we were repainting the house. Now we are stuck with all broken furniture, we would have gone elsewhere. Show details

Brad, the sales rep was great. The guys actually moving our goods were also great. They turned up on time for the move at both ends. But from there it was pathetic. Unanderra would not answer my phone calls re confirmation (see confidence factor above) but could ring me when they wanted a favour. Missed promised pick up date for the boxes (twice). Cost of moving for two adults no garage about 7kms was well over $4,000 which I thought was expensive but it did include 2 nights storage which Grace said was FREE??? Grace wanted a signature at delivery acknowledging no damage to goods but we weren't unpacked yet! Strange!! Overall very satisfied with the actual move but back office activities were pathetic.

AVOID GRACE AT ALL COSTS! I'm very sad to say we had a horrible experience with Grace. 10 times (including Grace Illawarra, the Grace Sydney team, their NSW Customer Service), they have completely ignored us. Every time we contact them they say they will call us back, and yet no one ever does. Their complete lack of customer service and apparent complete disregard for the distress this has caused has been as upsetting as the initial issue of missing money and damaged items. This is the first negative review I have left online, but feel compelled to share our experience for the good of the community.

I was very upset and disappointed with this service. up and delivered they were great, but the preparation, paperwork and office work they are inefficient, never return calls and blow you off when you need to talk to them, Here’s our experience with them. The woman that came out underestimated our stuff so there was a third of our stuff left after they had filled up the container. This resulted in us having to drive 2000kms 8 times ourselves with a trailer and COSTING US $1000 A TRIP FOR THEIR INEFFICIENTENCY Then they charged us another exorbitant fee to come back and pick up the rest. We have a laser engraver that was crated however they bought 2 crates by mistake, which wasn't needed and charged us $1400 for cardboard which we didn’t even get to keep, and they will not refund on the extra crate, THEIR MISTAKE. Once they finally got our stuff to Mackay 3 weeks for the first container 4 for the second, we found that our freezer had been damaged and didn't work anymore as was our TV. We tried to claim on the only insurance we were offered (we did ask for the higher one but was given that one). Give you two guesses who stuffed that up too. The one we were given was an exorbitant $3500 for nothing, we were told by the insurers INTERCEPT LOSS ADJUSTERS that there was no PHYSICAL damage to them, and we were rejected. The TV has two lines down each side of the screen right in line with the legs, so it had obviously been dropped hard. The freezer had scuff marks all over the front of it where it had fallen but because there was no PHYSICAL damage I guess they must have holes in them to be taken seriously, so we were rejected on that too. As far as the extra $700 for the extra crate was concerned, they just keep fobbing us off we still can’t get an answer 2 months later. We made 3 phone calls to them to make sure they were bringing Portarobes but guess what? The lack of communication between the office and the removalists meant they never turned up as communication obviously didn’t exist, so we had to stuff all our work clothes, and good suits and dresses into a couple of boxes and suitcases and as they sat all that time in the humidity they stank and had started to go mouldy cause they took so long to get anything to us. Luckily we were staying with our son in a furnished house because if it was up to those inefficient workers of no motivations (I do have another word for them but I’m afraid they won’t post this if I use it) we would have been all that time without ANYTHING, no clothes, no furniture, no way to cook, or clean and without a bed to sleep in for 3 weeks!! And because of her incompetence when we rang to say that we had so much left-over C was supposed to ring us the next day......well it was the next week that she rang us and took no responsibility for her stuff up, no apology either for us having to run up and down the whole east coast of Australia 8 times. Every time we tried to communicate with them by phone and many emails, we have had no satisfaction from them at all, not even an apology from C or her bosses who fobbed us off numerous times when they stuffed up. WE WERE OVERCHARGED, UNDERESTIMATED, MISCOMMUNICATED. THEY WERE IRRESPONSIBLE AND TOTALLY FRUSTRATING THIS MOVE ENDED UP COSTING US OVER $35,000 for a 12 grand move and they take no responsibility for their mishandling in any way DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DONT EVEN CONSIDER USING THESE PEOPLE

International: Terrible packing without any cushioning on fragile items - breakage – International family estate shipping Newcastle/Port Stephens, Aus to USA. Poor, non-cushioned, haphazardly packed boxes - high amount of breakage of larger heavier glass, china and wood veneer items: no cushioning used in thin boxes. Many of the boxes were not new and had other people's name stickers on them and a worn appearance -- only one box… Read more

of five that had china/art glass/fragile items marked FRAGILE. The boxes lacked appropriate width for maximum 20-inch width fragile items. Box size did not allow cushioning or support of edges of items that were pressed against raw side of boxes - the most fragile items strained the box out of shape, such was the pressure on them. -- The wrap/cushioning used is scrunched up butcher paper only; the thin lip of large china with no cushioning wrap at its rim, simply broke into pieces, a medium-large heavy china antique kettle same, straining the sides of the box with no cushion, and no FRAGILE written on box: top hand hold broken into three pieces from lack on within-box support. I don't think it took dropping or anything to smash these - the strain and the absence of cushioning - an art-glass collector piece smushed up against a stone urn that of course, broke from pressure - I imagine these items were all broken before ever leaving Aus. No professional-level look to the packing that would not deter breakage. Boxes not marked accurately as to contents. Wood with veneer 1970's record holder (sentimental value) 18" cube, shoved on its side with no cushion or wrap on two sides in a too-small box for its width - even though well made and moved many times over the years, in perfect condition with heavy feel and hardy surface, completely smashed in at its stand as no cushioning at all to only fragile area. Paintings placed against each other in Painting packs - no separators - oil paintings backing onto each other, miracle the paint wasn't destroyed. New never-worn heavy leather jacket used as if it were packing material, twisted and balled up and shoved in between other items as a separator - did not tear but is crushed looking when it was sturdy, new/flat. All documented in pics. Schumaker delivered on this US side and they were great. But Grace is a shameful service. Gave two stars just as the workers at the office were nice on phone. Packers themselves also refused to talk to me on Facetime when they arrived to pack and complained repeatedly they were running late to my representative overseeing the house at pack up. Uncaring; I could have packed these boxes at 14 years old with more professionalism than the Grace removalists. I have never moved house across town with items transported in this terrible a state that Grace took my generational family contents Again, only one box of breakables marked FRAGILE.

Nightmare experience, stay clear! – We deeply regret choosing Grace, among all the other services that we shopped around for our international move. We ended up getting our information and credit cards compromised; we also lost $4000 worth of belongings and got our insurance (warranty) claim rejected by Grace. I would highly recommend people stay clear of Grace! I wish we had done… Read more

that and saved ourselves from the nightmare experience. Details below.

We were moving out of Australia back to the UK. We used Grace Removals to ship our belongings from Sydney back to London. 2 packers from Grace came to pack our belongings; let’s call them B and N. I specifically told them to pack everything except for what in the 2nd bathroom and the laundry room (where we left our valuables). Within a few minutes of being shown around the unit, B pushed himself into the 2nd bathroom and locked the door. We stood outside but did not force the door open out of courtesy. We did not hear the usual toilet-using noise except for a flush at the end. We told him right after to use the ensuite toilet but just thought it was a simple confusion. However, 2 hours later, I received notification of an unauthorised transaction on one of my credit cards. That's the main credit card I frequently use so I just thought it had been compromised elsewhere. That evening, I felt uneasy and decided to check all my credit cards. I found similar suspicious transactions worth tens of thousands of dollars on all my credit cards. All these transactions were made on that same packing day. The only common factor for these cards are that they are in the same wallet that was placed in the 2nd bathroom (which is also missing $60). In particular, one card was recently issued by a UK bank and had just arrived within the month. Nobody else has access to this card and I have never used it online nor taken it anywhere more than a 20-minute walk from my home (to pay for a few small transactions to activate the card). We file a subsequent police report and the police arrested the culprit who made the fraudulent transactions. He said he somehow obtained my cards in an area that I have never been to, and did not even know it existed before being informed by the police. Given the above facts behind my UK card, the hole in the testimony is obvious. Nevertheless, we were already out of the country and decided to not waste our time pursuing this further.

Our belongings were delivered in the UK but the service on the UK end was not good. They were supposed to unpack our boxes; however, they instead shoved ALL the boxes into the apartment, stacking them on top of each other and then refused to unpack because there was no flat surface. Then we had to sign the manifest that we have received everything. Given the state of the stacked and jammed boxes, there was no way for me to verify all the boxes had been delivered (foreshadowing!). When I protested, the staff showed me the empty truck and said their task was to deliver the truck content, any issue would have to be sorted with insurance (more foreshadowing!). After more than a week of sleeping with boxes and unboxing, we found missing items (worth about $4000) and that box 85 hasn't been ticked in our unpacking tally. We filed a claim with the insurance, which rejected our claim because we signed the manifest that we have received everything! I provided photos of how the boxes were stacked to explain what happened but to no avail. Basically, Grace warranty (insurance) is worthless. The moment you sign for the delivery, you have signed away your rights to claim something is lost BEFORE anything is even unpacked! On top of that, the manifest only lists items at high level (e.g. "bags, shoes") - there's no mechanism to hold Grace responsible for any losses because it's your words against their so-called "records".

I strongly advise against using Grace – I strongly advise against using Grace for international moving services. Despite their claims, they are not truly an international moving company. packaging. Shoes and clothes were packed together haphazardly, and expensive frames, which we paid extra to have boxed, arrived damaged. None of our furniture arrived without scratches or significant damage, as the packaging quality was poor and corners were left unprotected. Even the boxes themselves were of low quality, leaving red traces from their signage.

On top of that, some valuable items went missing, and it seems likely they were stolen by a crew member. The GPS showed that these items never left New South Wales, though not at our old address.

The administrative side was equally problematic. We had to sign documents last minute that Grace hadn’t even flagged until after we had already moved to the U.S. The promised stress-free “white glove” service was far from reality. Our belongings sat in Sydney for at least three weeks, and there was an unexpected vessel change in Malaysia, which they didn’t inform us about. We will be filing claims for all the damages since we paid extra for insurance, but given everything we've experienced, I don't have confidence that the process will work as they promised.

Steer Clear if moving interstate – Moving from Sydney to Perth is not an easy endeavour and we thought we had found the right removalist company to help us with this but unfortunately the nice helpful team changed once they got our booking and our money. The Sydney office told us to count the boxes so they could determine the final price advising that their service included a home… Read more

visit a few days prior to the final amount being due to confirm the container sizing and final price. When this was raised with management, we requested a phone call back and 2 months on we are still waiting for that phone call. Constant attempts to get a hold of the sale guys went unanswered and when we did get a hold of him we were given incorrect information with the main impact being advised how much space we should ensure is available on the morning of our move only to find out that the information provided was wrong and the removalist team were not able to get the containers into the gap or get started- they ended up having to block the street for hours, impacting my neighbours and ofcourse the sales guys could not be contacted.

One of the key reasons we chose was Grace was because we were advised they they do not use contractors but use people employed by Grace- that turned out to be lies after we spoke to both the Sydney and Perth crews who all confirmed that they are contractors.

Upon trying to find out why this had changed, got hold of the Sydney office and was promised a call from the manager and discounts for future moves and when we waited a few weeks and still had not heard anything we were advised by the Sydney office that we were no longer their problem and were now Perth's problem. Perth were supposed to be in touch on the day that our container arrived but they did not contact us at all and Sydney didnt want to speak to us. Luckily we got our stuff and luckily we had family members help to emply the container as the crew was not big enough for the delivery and would have been at my place for 12-14 hours unloading.

Grace organised our cars to be moved with Ceva Logistics but neglected to advise that Ceva takes no responsibility for the cars particularly when they run the batteries flat as they did chose not to turn off alarms and we had to organise NRMA to get our car jumpstarted. Ceva advised that Grace should have taken us through the details of this at the time of booking. We went through all the paperwork and nothing about this was provided by Grace so again, we can assume they were only interested in their commission for making this booking.

We really wouldnt recommend this company for such a long move as they added more stress and strain than was necessary and no longer treated us as customers but as $$$ and tried to do as little as possible. We are glad that we did not get them to pack up the house as we shudder to think what would have happened in that scenario!

Smooth moving experience overall, although poor communication – The experience of moving with Grace went well overall. I went with Grace due to having a positive experience in the past. coordinates the process and the local team who actually complete the job. There was also a distinct lack of communication between the service and myself, the customer. I had to email and follow up to obtain information on a number of occasions. E.g. had not been contacted by the Wollongong team by the Saturday for a move scheduled for Monday. I received a short reply after emailing to find out about timing etc. There was no offer to communicate further and information I provided to the person who completed the quote and Wollongong team coordinator was not passed on to the actual moving crew. This meant they were not aware of specific requirements such as disassembly and reassembly of a bed and that there were certain items going to storage and hence, a second delivery address. The crew themselves were professional, cheerful and hard working. They went the extra mile to ensure items were moved and stored safely. It is a pity that there is a lack of communication with them or the customer.

Not a premium service – Before signing with Grace, they assured us they had a specialist art moving service, and that they did not use subcontractors - two key issues for us, so we were happy to pay the premium for Grace. Neither assurance proved correct. The guys who packed our art were not especially careful, and they turned a large, unframed painting on hardboard,… Read more

with raised palette-knifed paint, face down on our bed to wrap it. All our artworks were wrapped in thick plastic sheet, with an additional cardboard layer on their faces; however, none were provided with corner protection, and a very large, recently re-framed photograph, was delivered with a chipped corner on the frame. Corner protection is such a basic thing, we recently purchased a very inexpensive framed mirror, and it was wrapped with corner protection - but Grace’s “specialist” art handling team doesn’t provide any corner protection!?

We were moving interstate and were not fussy about the day of delivery, it just had to be in a particular week - this had been agreed months in advance. We were told at the beginning of that week the delivery was now scheduled for the following week because the Melbourne crew were too busy. After some to and fro, with Grace’s Melbourne and Sydney offices appearing to blame each other, we were then offered a delivery day in the week we required. We were relieved that they’d managed to resolve the impasse, until the moment the truck turned up - it was a subcontractor in an unmarked truck. Had Grace explained this was how they resolved their scheduling error, we might have instead rearranged our own schedule to ensure we had a Grace delivery.

We complained by phone and email to both Melbourne and Sydney personnel; however, over two months later, we still have not received any response to our complaints. We paid a premium fee for a very average service - there were other problems too numerous to detail here - and we’ll never use Grace again.

CHOOSE CAREFULLY!! – Moved with Grace in 2021. Everything was great at that time. When moving this time, I chose Grace again. But it is a nightmare. when quoting with them, told me it was gonna take 2 weeks to ship my furniture from Mackay to Sydney. arrived in Sydney, I called them and was told, my stuff was still in Brisbane. on 18/07, called them again, and told me that my stuff will be arriving in Sydney on 20/07. Called on 20/07, and told me could do delivery on 25/07.

When everything moved in, I started to clean up and check them. Damages, stains, and scratches were found. When mattresses arrived, they had protectors on.  The fridge has been badly scratched, and the paint is off.  Bed bases, one has been soiled and stained, and another one has been scratched heavily. One mattress has been soiled on one corner, 2nd mattress got two holes in it. The washing machine drum is not in the right place anymore, which causes a weird noise when turned on. The dining table corner must hit on something and lose its shape. Scratcheds were found on the TV unit surfaces, side and legs. my bike also has the paint off and some scratches. The Mackay team sent me an email on 28/07, saying they will contact me after I filled out the feedback form, but nothing happened yet, today is 09/08.  It is hard to get the information from them unless you give them a call and for some numbers they gave me, nerved being answered. PLEASE CHOOSE CAREFULLY!!

Edit on 17/08/2023. I have their insurance. Today, they sent me an email saying the fridge had that scratch before moving, which shows on their report. The truth is they gave me the report to sign on on the uplifting date, then they did the report/check afterwards. you will never know what happened to your stuff.

DIS-Grace – We spent close to $30,000 with Grace for our move from Newcastle to Hobart in January this year. It was a large house move and as far as I was concerned, the value we received was around the $3000 mark. Grace were prompt and friendly at the quoting process. Amongst the paperwork supplied with the quote was a statement telling us, the… Read more

prospective customer to not chose the cheapest quote. We should have taken notice as Grace was the cheapest quote but having used them twice previously (as well as other family having had used them) I didn’t think I had anything to worry about. We paid for packing, removal, unpacking with Valet service, pet transportation and car transportation all up $30K( the quote was cheaper than this but we were slugged with “extra fees” which to this day, have not been explained), as well as insurance cover. Included in this was supposed to be Premium Art Packing and transportation as well as individual wrapping of all upholstered items and mattresses in plastic bags.

The day everything was supposed to be packed, two people arrived, a woman and a man. The woman appeared to be “switched on” and as we later discovered the only Grace employee that appeared to be experienced in wrapping and packing. There was alot of complaining for the first few hours about not having the right amount of packing supplies or not having enough people to do the job. The woman got down to job at hand however the male spent most fo the day on his phone chasing his “drugs for the weekend”. At the end of day one, three quarters of the house was packed and they left telling me that they may or may not see me tomorrow. I then proceeded to walk around the house to see what was left and discovered many of our large format canvas artworks stacked back to front on top of each other with no protection in between. There was no damage at this stage but It didn’t install much confidence in me.

Day two, two removalists arrive with the truck. More moaning about lack of staff and about the lack of communication with the organisation and they then asked me why the house had not been packed and ready as they were there to “just pack the truck”. I was starting to worry that the house would not be packed on time thus possibly affecting our settlement. We called Grace to express our concerns and to this date, have not had any response. We had a number of items off site at a storage container and around 10.30 I received a call from a removalist asking why there was nobody at the storage container to let him in. I then had to drop everything to go and let them in. There were four removalists waiting at the small 2 x 2 meter storage unit. An hour later they arrived at the house to assist the two removalists. Another two extra removalists turned up out of nowhere and judging by the aimless wandering around the house my guess is these guys were just grabbed off the street.

In a couple of cupboards we had moisture absorbers, these things absorb moisture from the air and its collected in the bottom of the container, the collected moisture passes through a substance which makes it very oily, consistency of cooking oil. If spilt it doesn’t dry. Someone kicked one of these containers. Stupidly I presumed that they would try and clean it up. They didn’t. A large amount of the liquid was absorbed by a rug and because they had kicked the container, it splattered over multiple electrical items. At no point did anyone alert me to this accident or try to clean it up. They proceeded to pack all the aforementioned items without wiping them down. They rolled the rug up and threw it in the truck against a custom upholstered bed head, The bedhead absorbed some of the liquid which in turn destroyed the bedhead. Since nobody told me the liquid had been spilt (I discovered it after they left) I then had to go and buy items to clean up the mess as all my cleaning products and implements had been packed and the house was due to settle the next day. How did I know that absorber had been kicked and splattered over electrical items? It was all up the freshly painted walls and when the electrical items were unpacked at the other end the liquid was still wet and all over the items.

We were advised by Grace that the furniture would essentially “follow us” down to Tasmania. It didn’t, it took over 4 weeks. We had to buy a fridge, mattresses, a tv, basic cooking essentials as well as sheets, pillows and towels so we could live in our empty house.

When the furniture arrived in Hobart we advised Grace of the day we wanted the furniture to be delivered and they then advised us that a further $3000 was required for the delivery of the furniture. If we didn’t pay it, we wouldn’t get the furniture. Up until this point, we had paid ALL monies as quoted and owed to Grace as listed in the contract. When we tried to contact Grace NSW(several times) asking for an explanation, we were told that someone would call us back. Again, to this day six months later, we have had no response. We were also told that since our furniture was being delivered on a Saturday and the Monday was a public holiday, the Valet service we paid for would not be there until Tuesday.

The day the furniture was to arrive the removalists all congregated out the front of our house and didn’t appear to want to do anything. They were spending a lot of time on their phones and then we heard one of them say, “Better start, looks like my pays gone in”. It appeared that a number of them hadn’t been paid and they spend most of the day looking at their phones whinging about how their pay had not gone in. When they decided to start work they asked me to give them a tour of the house and explain where things were to go. As we had only had the carpets cleaned 48 hours previously, I asked that everything be placed on its feet and not on its side as they carpet was still damp. This seemed to be a hard concept to grasp as I had to follow them around and put everything on its feet after they left. Homophobic slurs and rude comments about our pregnant neighbour topped everything off.

The real fun was yet to start. Even though we had paid for Valet unpacking we thought we would unpack things like art and some of the delicate items. This is were we discovered a large portion of our belongings weren’t packed as we thought they would be. Fragile items and sculptures were placed at the bottom of boxes with very heavy items placed on top, some items were crushed as a result. Actual drawers from bedside tables and other occasional tables where place in boxes with the contents still in them. Some drawers weren’t even packed, the contents were left in and transported. A vintage stereo that had been in my family for 30 years was just thrown into a box with other items such as lamps and vases just thrown in with no other packaging materials. The stereo is now junk and unfixable. ALL of our artworks (and there are many) were just thrown into boxes, many with no protective wrapping and a large number of them placed back to front which in turn ruined the canvases. The large format artworks were squeezed into small gaps in the truck and had furniture stored up against them. This stretched the canvases and in some instances pierced the canvases. Unwashed dog beds which were supposed to not be packed were packed into boxes with clean bedding or used as padding in other boxes. An antique kimono which was hanging on a wall at our previous residence was scrunched up and thrown into the the truck as is. ALL of our upholstered items were not wrapped individually as promised. The couch cushions were used as padding for furniture and boxes on the truck and came out of the truck, filthy, rusty and some covered in bird poo. Our beige linen dining chairs came out different shades of brown and in some instances were torn. We have had to have every upholstered item cleaned. A large portion of these items were less than a year old and previous to being handled by Grace, in excellent condition. I’ll also add that when the couches were initially being loaded onto the truck they were carried onto the truck under the armpits of the singlet wearing removalists on a 38 degree day. There was a lot of damage that could have been avoided if Grace had trained people properly and employed people that had basic common sense and a respect for other peoples belongings. A lot of items that Ive had for many years have been destroyed or broken beyond repair by Grace removals. To add insult to injury, when the Valet team turned up to unpack the rest of our boxes, the people employed by Grace did not advise us of any brake ages, they instead thought it was good practice to hide the breakages and let us find them. A broken and now unusable turntable was cleverly put back together to give the illusion that no damage had occured, a lamp that had the globe holder smashed, had the globe put in it and plugged it in ready for me or a family member to be electrocuted. Glassware was smashed and not brought to our attention. All in all there was $15000 worth of damage. The insurance coverage provided by Grace paid out but we had to jump through hoops to get it. Steer clear of Grace. This is a great example of a once great company gone bad. The worst moves are made by Grace and underwritten by regret.

Excellent service and well priced – Had a very good experience with these guys moving from Canberra to Sydney. A consultant came to our place to take inventory and worked with us to get the quote as close to our budget as possible. They were a fair bit cheaper than others that quoted but still felt like a premium service. Art and tv were packed by them without additional charge. Crews were friendly and professional on both ends. Would definitely recommend. Show reply

Deceptive Communication Around Storage Costs – When we booked our move with Grace, we were told that we would need to incur the storage costs per actual. Upon inquiring about the expected outflow, we were told by [Name Removed] that she does not know the exact number. We asked if she could give us an estimate so that we could gauge if it will be feasible to go with Grace. She replied that she… Read more

cannot even give us a range but the storage is not going to be "much", as Grace is super efficient. Fast forward to the delivery of our stuff in KSA, we were asked to pay storage fees for 21 days which amounted to 20% of the freight charges that we had already paid to Grace. In a discussion with [Name Removed] from Grace, he accepted that the charges are excessive and we will have to pay immediately to avoid grossing up more charges. He also mentioned that the usual clearance time for LCL is 2 – 3 weeks, which we were never told of despite specifically asking for it at the time of booking with Grace. This deceptive attitude from [Name Removed] cost us a lot more than we should have paid. I asked [Name Removed] if I can escalate my grievances to the higher-ups but I was denied that opportunity, citing that I can share my grievances with [Name Removed] itself.

Outstanding - car and household NSW to WA – In Sydney, the service was friendly and helpful from the first call. The consignment measurement and calculation of the quote was fast & effective and presented evidence-based reasonable figures. My car was picked up on time by a friendly capable driver. I had followed the car transport instructions so everything was ready. My household goods… Read more ·  1

were packed up two weeks later by a cheerful and diligent crew. I had packed about 80% of it, they happily did the rest.

I was kept informed regularly about the whole journey of my things.

Storage in Perth was safe, secure and well managed with monthly invoices by email.

My car was delivered on time and without a mark. By all accounts it was quite clean both inside and out.

Delivery to my Perth address for stored items was timely and the WA crew were extremely helpful and polite. Only one item, a lightweight bookshelf was damaged. To be fair it was a bit flimsy at the start and was easily repaired.

Grace wasn’t cheap but I consider the real value was the care and attention me, my car and my goods received. Outstanding customer service made a tedious task much more pleasant.

The removals crew on both coasts were good company, cheers!

No stress – My move was a bunch of household boxes coming from Canberra to Canterbury in Sydney - 39 items in all. Not much furniture involved. The whole process, from the initial quote and the Canberra pick up to delivering the boxes to Canterbury and collecting the empties, was seamless. I was kept informed of timetables and things pretty much happened… Read more ·  1

exactly when I was told they would. There seemed to a consistent can-do attitude and the Grace fellas and phone team were all friendly and onnit. A great experience.

Worse move ever – My move was about 20 cubic meters of very sensitive and crafted furniture. As mentioned during the first visit, these pieces needed extra care and extra layers of bubble wrap. We had a vision of horror when the delivery arrived in Dubai. Furniture scratched and stain, no wrapping of the feet of tables, single bubble wrap layer. A lot of items… Read more

arrived damaged. The job was expedited like the guys were in a hurry to go to the pub. I never never seen such a bad execution on a removal job. I have moved overseas more than 10 times and never had bad experience. I didn't take insurance. Insurance gives you an hedge against accidents and unforeseen events but not against un-professionalism.. Grace removal offered me a 1000 dollars to compensate me. That is what their reputation is worth and they can keep it. The moves started and finished on time.

The worst service experience - deceptive company – I have been in contact with [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] for an international removal. [Name Removed] said that our goods will leave Australia on 9/6/22 and MSC is the only one considering the route at that time. According to that we were charged double the actual cost. After that, Grace kept holding our goods in Sydney until September and… Read more

never informed us that they did not ship our furniture on 9/6/22. We figured that out months later. Our goods were not shipped through MSC as we were advised by [Name Removed] and later on I knew from one of their staff ([Name Removed]) that there was not even a booking made for 9/6/22. We were deceived and never provided with the service that we paid for.
