just called when they were 20 mins away from destination whilst we were still interstate. Many items were damaged, fridge dented, antique table gauged, smashed plates, glasses etc - definitely not due to poor packing on our behalf. So many pieces of furniture both expensive and not expensive chipped, damaged and dented. The removal guys left litter on driveway and some of them were rude and hard to communicate with - resulting in some items being put on truck that were not ours but belonged to the owners of the house that we were renting- essentially making us thieves - we had to reimburse them for some items worth hundreds. But one of the most infuriating things are the inventory stickers they use on the furniture- they take off paint, leave sticky residue and are quite hard to remove. If you value your possessions or have anything of value - please for the love of god -don’t call this incompetent waste of space company. I have moved over 25 times In my 44 yrs so I do know what a good removalist looks like and this ain’t it. They are very friendly and helpful initially but will lie through their teeth to secure your business and then (in our experience) screw you over in every respect.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE COWBOYS! They cheat your money and leave you worst off. Here are photos of them moving boxes that block entranceways leaving you high and dry to deal with their mess. They will not help unpack and they will block your phone calls if you try to speak to a manager. Grace does not strive to make home moves seamlessly. They bring you your worst NIGHTMARE! Go elsewhere!!!!!!!!!

bed that isn’t mine. I was prompted by Grace to make a claim through their Insurance Company which I did, and the Insurance Company have referred the matter back to Grace Storage. It has now been 8 weeks since my removal and whenever I contact Grace Storage no-one is available and messages are not passed on or phone calls are not returned. When I call the Insurance Company they tell me the matter has been referred back to Grace and that they will follow it up. And I never hear back. Frankly Im beyond annoyed and angry and quickly moving into livid. I can’t believe a National Company like Grace has such nasty customer service.
Follow-up · The Insurance Agency is a subsidiary of Grace Australia so it’s a conflict of interest in that the Company is investigating itself. That’s dodgy at worst and highly suspect at best. Great Service from Grace Removals – We had an ‘unusual’ move, which involved a furniture swap between 2 houses. The move was done promptly and efficiently. Brydie did an excellent job in organising the process, and the guys who performed the work were excellent.

- One box was nearly lost due to the failure to apply the correct label, and no assistance was offered. We have to deal with the local shipment partner ourselves in the UK to sort it out together and found the missing box with no label attached.
- Several pieces of furniture were damaged or broken. No apology was given, and only a computer-generated form was sent in response.
- The shipment was severely delayed. During the consultation, the consultant guaranteed that our shipment was on an ideal schedule; based on this assurance, we chose Grace over other companies. No warnings about potential delays were communicated. It appears the consultant was primarily concerned with securing a signed contract as quickly as possible. Communications after signing the contract was slow.
One fair compliment I would give is to the movers on the day. They were polite, helpful, and handled our belongings with care when moving them from our apartment to the lorry.

Grace was storing in Australia be delivered to us. The company in Europe who handled the delivery was unhelpful. They did not deliver on the day they advised. The address where the delivery was to be made is located in Switzerland. We travelled into Switzerland to meet the delivery truck at the time advised. We waited 6 hours, left numerous voice mails and emails which were never returned so we crossed the border to go home. The delivery was made early the following day with no advanced notice. We were not present and had to arrange for someone to accept the delivery. We then had to travel back to Switzerland. All this is bad enough but there was not any response to the voice mails or emails and no apology offered. Grace recommended the item be packed in a special crate. On arriving in Switzerland we discovered the crate was broken and the legs of the furniture item were poking through and damaged. We paid hundreds of dollars for the storage crate. It was not fit for purpose. We will use another company in future for an international removal. Footnote 1. Grace refunded the cost of the crate in full. The consultant was very efficient and I could not criticise her performance. I now await the outcome of the insurance claim to repair the furniture. Footnote 2. After some follow up and discussion the insurance was eventually paid out.
The company lost a box of my items, their drivers were rude to me when delivering the boxes, scratched one of my items of furniture, and when I reported that a box was missing Grace removals did not seem to care and didn’t bother following up.

Average service for luxury price Good booking and assessment team, average to low removalists (x2 only for a big job), one of them was very rude: demanded we provide him with soft drinks (on our move day where we had nothing to offer). Damaged our property and despite having paid 900AUD for insurance, the company refused to cover. Will never go back to this company.

Further to this there is certainly no evidence at all to show that Grace was negligent in the transport and handing of your goods.
It is on this basis that I hereby decline your claim, for the items listed on your claim form."
Issue is, we were never told that the "insurance" would not cover any items in the box, that part was conveniently left out. Insurance for a normal person means the items and the box are covered. Had we been told this we would of changed it.
All in all, read through everything. This was missed by us, but I hate companies that use tactics like this without giving you the full information, and wait for you to discover it in the forms you sign.
As to the part of evidence. Its evident the box was dropped as the stuff was at the bottom, there was even more fragile stuff at the top. It clearly had to be a impact blow. Fragile was listed on the box as well.
So please anyone considering Grace, reconsider. Also please read all the fine print, and hopefully you can avoid tactics like these.

cartons. The table was transhipped in Melbourne and arrived at my house unprotected and standing on its end in the container damaging its top. Grace response was that we should have taken insurance. I was told that had I paid for insurance, we would have received compensation. Is it reasonable that we should insure ourselves against careless handling of our goods to have the money returned when our goods were damaged? I think not. Grace offered $300 as compensation 'without prejudice', an offer we refused. I eventually received a quotation for a new table top and requested that Grace pay this.The cost is equivalent to the amount I would have had to pay to insure my goods. I have not heard from the company. Consumer protection advice suggest that I should receive compensation, something I will pursue through consumer protection agencies and possibly through courts.

I have to chase it up, making those funny calls to you guys for different interstate offices to locate my stuff, which is your fault, however, I take the responsibility? Did the job – Was rushed by the delivery guys. I believe it was a way to keep me from inspecting my furniture thoroughly and realising that there was damage that they made sure to hide from sight. Other than that, Grace did keep to the schedule they had informed me of. Friendly and good workers at uplift and is why I've given the score a higher rating.
