I've used groupons Microderm abrasion offers many times and have always been very satisfied. They always start with a mini facial including my declotage, then the microderm treatment followed by a warm towel and a soothing mask, lasting nearly an hour.
This time I received a quick clean of my face, followed by microderm then a quick slap of sunscreen, 20 mins if that and that included me filling in my form. I have another one to be redeemed but I won't be back. Wouldn't waste my time.
No service & greedy - I am a merchant
All groupon cares about is their profits. While they are trying to sell you to sign up with them, they are there supporting you with every needs. Once you sign the contract, they leave you to figure things out yourself. Once I wanted to pause my campaign, I had to give them 30 days notice which I did and the campaign is still running and selling. I have emailed and called groupon on muiltiple times and yet nothing has been done even after they told me they will fix it!. It has been 2 weeks since with no solution! Worst company to deal with. Will not sign up with groupon again unless they fix their customer service.
Refusal to exchange goods
I ordered and received a pair of shoes. When I discovered they didn’t fit, I asked if I could exchange them for the next size up.
Groupon said no, despite having the larger size available. I was happy to pay cost of return but they still said no. $100 down the drain.
September 11th 2019 Update: Meaningless platitudes
One thing I will say for Groupon is that did answer my emails. Unfortunately though, their responses were just full of meaningless platitudes repeated ad infinitum.
Not once did they ever offer an explanation as to why they wouldn’t exchange my goods.
This experience has certainly put me off making future purchases without the knowledge that I could exchange if necessary.
My suggestion to anyone considering buying from this company, DON’T!
Shady practices - buyer beware
I purchased a hotel voucher and couldn't get the dates I wanted. So I immediately asked for a refund, days went by. I contacted support and they said they were 'looking into' my situation. More days go by. Today i was sent a sneakily worded email:
'In this case, I am happy to offer you a full refund in Groupon credit. All you need to do is write back confirming the credit offer and I can have this available in your account within 24hrs.'
How shady! Trying to get me to agree to a credit voucher with them when the promise on the purchase was 'money back guarantee'. I said "No!! I want money or I'm going to consumer affairs". Next email they tried to give me $77 back instead of $309. It took quite a few emails to get my refund.
Really disappointed - awful business practices where you have to be on your toes to avoid getting ripped off. Shame on you Groupon.

Today I looked at available offers on the Groupon website but decided there was nothing I was interested in. So I moved my mouse up and closed the tab. Heavens, an hour later I found I'd purchased a ski pass in a sport I live far from and never participate in. That is bad enough. So I searched how to cancel the booking. Difficult to find. When I got the details that they'd refund if cancellation was sought with in 7 days, they gave NO process on how to proceed with the cancelation! No email, no phone number. Luckily I googled groupon for Aust and got a phone number. It is NOT on the account pages. Quite soon given my initiative I was connected to a nice person, [name removed] who followed their procedure on saying I could be given credit for a future purchase … I insisted on a refund. Eventually she promised that. I have also complained that the transaction seemed to occur without any interrogation and confirmation from me. [name removed] said that because I had made a previous purchase my details had been automatically kept on file and there was no need to ask me for permission! I insisted that my file have the credit card details deleted. [name removed] promised that. I made her repeat it twice. The problem is not [name removed] but massive and untrustworthy slight of hand by Groupon.
Poor [name removed] said that if I wanted to make a complaint I should ring another number… I insisted she play a recording of our conversation to her supervisor and tell that person to check out this website.

I purchased 2 nights accommodation at a hotel in camberra. When I tried to print the info, my printer did not work. So I tried my local library, groupon would not work from an unrecognised devise. I went on my trip with my ipad and attempted to email the details to the hotel reception, but groupon blocked this also. I attempted to contact them for over 2 hours via email and messages , during my stay, all of which where returned unanswered. I have been back in sydney for 2 weeks and attempted numerous ways to make contact, non worked. On my last attempt at live chat I was asked to pay $5 for live chat support.
I find this organisation unethical and disgusting. I would recommend no one uses.
I asked for assistance to redo a review that I did wrong and the guy said would pass the new review along and take down the previous one that I did by mistake.
Unsafe to use!
Have paid for some tickets but 2 weeks later couldn't access account. Rung them only to be told will email you later. Six emails later they admitted their security protocols had been breached and my account was blocked but couldn't tell me why? Emailed them again asking for an explanation and no reply. Then they refunded all my tickets except 1. Emailed them if this last one was still valid or a refund was coming. No reply but money was refunded. No idea what went wrong.
Fake Yeti tumbler sold by Groupon
Groupon sold me a fake yeti rambler for $35 which retails for $39 on yeti website.
The barcode and product codes are wrong,
Build quality including the lids are so bad that i was shocked.
I have several yeti containers in different sizes and i am so sad that Groupon let this happen on their platform.

Purchased a massage for a gift for my son who lives in Brisbane. When he went to book it he was told it had been used on 11/07/19. He wasn’t even in Brisbane at that time! He was North Queensland visiting me! After a phone call and many emails, I was offered a “good will refund” of $5. What a joke! The massage cost way more that that! Will never use Groupon again!
Never received order
I never received what I ordered. Groupon Australia has failed to resolve this, they keep telling me they have escalated the issue but they still haven't gotten back to me.

I purchased 2holidays with a promo of $40 discount off each tour in stead I was given Groupon credits this was not what was offered I just keep getting the standard push button answer this is not satisfactory I want my promo that was offered I no longer trust groopon
Terrible company with zero customer service
Advertised and sold me a Groupon for a pottery class that was in another State! I shared this with a friend and they said the same thing happened to them (how many times have they taken money for things people clearly cannot get to and are clearly a mistake?)
When I contacted them they’ve taken no action to prevent this occurring for others and refuse to give me my money back. I’m hardly flying across the country for this! I tried contacting the owner of the classes too and have had zero response! Very cold, non personal customer service and extremely disappointed as I have purchased over $1000 in Groupons over the years and still am not treated as a person. Still happy to take their cut from this Groupon for doing absolutely nothing!
They also just keep referring back to their cancellation policy, however I’ve suggested they email out a confirmation within the cancellation window and that’s also fallen on deaf ears.
So disappointed and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

I recently purchased a voucher that I could not use, so for a week I contacted groupon every day on the chat function of the website and was told my refund would be processed but never was. Tonight I spoke with a customer service agent named Roy after contacting the company through facebook, I explained my situation and within 20 minutes he had happily refunded my purchase.
I just want to say thank you to Roy. He is a gem!
Impossible to get assistance
I ordered a Uniking throw blanket. Delivery 2 to 5 days. No tracking until 4th day. iCumulus Tracking said it was on the truck for today so I made arrangements to stay home to wait. Watched out all morning. Now tracking says “no one was home for delivery.” Nothing left to say delivery was attempted. Open screen door and waiting in front room so I couldn’t possibly have missed it. No response from online Groupon people, no response from iCumulus online tracking. Eventually got Uniking on the phone, she asked me to send her an email after I objected she took my name then cut the call off. This is a Dad’s day gift for my 96 year old Dad and I am disgusted with the lack of service from Groupon and its suppliers! Don’t bother using Groupon as you can’t get help when needed, nor do they honour their so-called discounts!
What customer service?
I bought some ugg boots for my husband in his usual size as a gift, they were too small and Groupon would not exchange them I don't see why this is a problem I only want an exchange not a refund "it is against their policy to accept any returns" really!!! What sort of customer service is that. I am now stuck with a pair of boots no-one can wear. Be aware that their return policy is non existant. I do a lot of online shopping and have always been able to return items whether it be an exchange, refund or credit I wont be shopping with Groupon again and I'll be spreading the word
Apple earphone speaker does not work at all
I bought apple earphone from Groupon website. Everything seemed to be fine until today I used earphone made the call. Speaker doesn’t work at all. It is just a week.
bought many deals from groupon and I just had the biggest disappointment from this misleading deal. the deal was called "all you can eat hotpot". when the restaurant passed the menu to us, there were only THREE choices of hotpot you can choose. there's nothing close to "all you can eat". back home & had a live chat with the staff. he was very unhelpful. he just kept copying & pasting the fine print details. kept saying it is "hotpot". I know I would get hotpot. I purchased a "all you can eat hotpot" deal. should I expect eating something else instead of hotpot? what a joke! also, the photo clearly is a Chinese style hotpot with different choices of food and we only THREE choices. i took a photo of the menu and the food that we received as an evidence. basically the deal description and the photo are both misleading!

Ordered Two Mulberry Silk Fronted Pillowcases. Never received the item. Groupon is not taking responsibility passing it to the courier. Courier is not taking responsibility, passing it to Groupon. End of the day (more than 2 months later), I am left with no products, no refunds.
I’ve purchased 12-bottle wines and I haven’t received my order. They took the money out of my bank account. I cannot contact the company anymore. Looks like a scam. If this won’t be rectified, I will report this issue as a fraud.
