Rude manager at Harris Scarfe Knox. Right from the start of the conversation, it appeared she was on the back foot, displaying a complete lack of service-oriented language. This person seriously needs to be sent for retraining on how to speak to customers. I have dealt with a dozen other staff members, and they all have a great attitude. The… Read more
issue is with the female manager in her late fifties, out of shape. I am not sure if there is more than one manager, but Harris Scarfe head office needs to find out who this rotten apple is that does not belong in 2026.
I had a quick look at other Google reviews left for this store by customers with issues. What a surprise—they have specifically mentioned dealing with this woman. You figure.
Ordered a set of sheets at a reduced price of $49.99 Put in my gift card number and then found I was charged $99.99 for the sheets Absolutely disgusted with the store. First and last time I shop with them
I went into the Elizabeth, SA store yesterday to purchase a can opener. Two different brands hanging on display hooks. In both cases the ticketed plastic “label holder” was empty with no price displayed. I couldn't find a staff member to assist me. I walked out of the store without making a purchase. On the way out I provided feedback to the staff… Read more

They do not help and have their fake policies where they sell defective products and don’t refund even if you give certain proof and call the police for no reason Show details
I ordered a pair of sandals online, but they arrived worn and the back strap was torn. I requested a refund via email, but got no response. Very disappointed with both the product and customer service.
The picture tells the story about shameful packaging. It's enough to put me off online shopping in the future but I live in regional Victoria and we don't get as much choice in our smaller store.
This was my first time (and last) ordering from this company. I ordered three items and two turned up broken. The box it came in was in bad shape when it arrived and I believe they were broken because they weren’t packed very well. There was loads of room and one of the items was a glass jar that came in a million pieces. To make matters worse. I… Read more
submitted a negative review of the broken items and HS rejected it.
I’ve also emailed them twice to ask for replacements and have heard nothing.
They have time to moderate reviews but not respond to customers.
Appalling!!! Don’t do it.
I just finalised a purchase from Harris Scarfe and returned to the site to purchase another item only to find that my phone number (the same number I just used) would not be accepted, therefore could not finalise the payment. Very annoyed.
Misled by a sales lady about the materials and bought a cover set. I found it’s wrong material after opening it , but they refused to give the refund even I told I was misled by a sales lady for reason that I opened it( just open but not use it ) . Finally I had to changed another product even I don’t like it. It’s not fair for costumers. Show details
Harris Scarfe advertises items as available for purchase and then doesn't allow for click and collect, home delivery or information on which stores have items in stock. Its impossible. I believe they do this to make it appear as though they have items (this gets them more visibility via a google search) when infact the items are not even available… Read more
anywhere. Its false advertising. They advertised a Euro Pillow Elysian Duck Feather for $24.99 on sale - it's still advertised on their website. It was completely fabricated - there was no item anywhere to be found online or in store. When you search deluxe euro pillow on google it comes up with this pillow as available at Harris Scarfe. Completely false advertising. It cannot be purchased.

Just like to say a huge thankyou to Danielle from your Woodgrove store 2017 for her amazing customer service Tried to look up a size on the system for me and she said they were all sold out .. finalised my purchase and left the store .. then 15 minutes later .. good thing I was still shopping received a phone call from her and told me she found the size I was looking for out the back ! Amazing work Danielle .. Thankyou so much !! Show details
Recently shopped for a new QS basic, cotton mattress protector. I found it trickier than usual because many cheap, thinner versions are labelled "waterproof" so not any good for me as I tend to get sweaty later in the night. The online ads tend to quote the cheaper, waterproof versions to get you in, then when I got to the stores, nothing… Read more
affordable. The price of most "non-waterproof" cotton was up to $100 at Spotlight and I was ready to go back to K-Mart. Fortunately, the kind staff at Harris Scarfe Preston helped me resolve the price and quality and I purchased a Soren QS Mattress Protector at 40% off as a member. Claire was particularly helpful-no pressure, just friendly and knowledgeable about the product. As for the other two stores I mentioned— zero help and expensive.

Amazing customer support, very quick response and problem solving! I was hesitant to order from here as I saw negative reviews online, but honestly I had the best experience with the customer support ever and I didn’t even spend that much money.

Elizabeth SA store Had been ordering some stuff for click and collect, when I got to the online checkout, noticed that I could get free delivery if I spent more money. despite contacting them (spoke to somebody by the name of Merlin with an offshore accent) all she could do was keep saying that she can't do anything because it is a customer portal and nothing to do with Harris Scarfe. Received the home delivery, no problem with that, went to pick up the click and collect part of the order at the Elizabeth SA store which came with a bonus $10 voucher which I attempted to spend at the checkout while I was there, by purchasing 4 items which came to a total of $9.96, but they couldn't round the price up to $10, telling me that I had to spend another 4c or spend more than $10 value of the voucher to be able to use it, and that she couldn't round it up to $10 because it wasn't their product, they were only selling it - I don't think any of the products in the store are made by Harris Scarfe. Woman serving, may have been Amber, (I forget as I had to deal with three different women, one being the indifferent person who dropped my order on the floor and didn't give a stuff, let alone apology), ended up getting frustrated with my logic and ended up swearing, then when I pointed out that there was ne need to swear, claims she said "For goodness sake" and not what she actually said. Basically, scammers with their vouchers.

The website needs attention. It is extremely difficult to browse. Every time I'm scrolling, it's so sensitive, that it keeps going into an item to view. I'm just trying to browse and scroll to use a gift voucher but it's seriously infuriating that every time I'm scrolling, it just goes into an item. Hopefully this can be fixed. I don't want to go in store.

False advertising, extremely poor refund process, and deleted my negative review. Steer clear. I bought an “cooling” mattress protector for around $80. It stated repeatedly that it had cooling technologies throughout the title, images and description, so I thought it worth the price. When I got it, I found it absolutely does not cool. It’s… Read more
just as hot as every other mattress protector I’ve ever used. They don’t accept returns of bedding, so I requested a refund based on the ground that it was not as advertised (which is a legal right under Australian law).
They made the refund process very painful and prolonged. They requested one piece of info per email - I would reply with everything they asked for, then they would ask for more in their reply, over and over again and things that didn’t seem at all required, such as asking for a video after I already sent a picture. The video showed the same thing as the picture because you can’t show heat on a camera obviously.
Then they requested I return it to a store, which I couldn’t do because I live in the country which is why I ordered online, which they knew because they had my email and the original order.
When they finally issued the refund they didn’t include shipping, which they should have under Aussie law. Had to send a follow up email about that and they took bloody for ever to respond to that one.
Then! They asked me to review my experience, so I did. Using very similar language to the above (I copied it here and only added to it) and they “moderated” the comment (removed it).
So they are removing negative reviews.
This was my first experience with Harris Scarfe and it will be my last.
Seems they drag their feet to adhere to Aussie consumer protections, even after falsely advertising a product.
After reviewing a product I purchased online, I was advised that my review could not be published. Seems as though Harris Scarf carefully selects only positive reviews. It makes posting reviews pretty pointless if Harris Scarf can’t handle negative reviews. This was my review: Same look but smaller I purchased one of these bath mats instore and… Read more
was happy with it. When the Black Friday Sales were on I saw a twin pack of what looked like the same mats, so I ordered them. Upon receiving them, they appeared to be the same colour, design etc. However, when I opened them up, they were 8cm shorter than the one I purchased instore. Feeling somewhat ripped off.
Have actually never shopped there but almost did. Tried to buy a Smith & Nobel frypan. Was about to finalise the click and collect sale online when I was told that my licence would be recorded on their system. There was no explanation why. I tried phoning the store (Chermside) but their number rang out, and this was over 2 days. I decided to look… Read more
elsewhere and ending up buying a Scanpan 28 cm frypan for just a bit more from Kitchen Warehouse. Reviews were much more favourable for this brand than the Harris Scarfe one. I'm assuming that Harris Scarfe on-sell your drivers licence information. I also made an online complaint but got no answer to that either. Fair enough. I prefer to buy from stores who operate above board anyway.
So sick of ordering goods online, checking out and paying, having the money deducted from my account, then being emailed to say refund.. out of stock! Seriously! Get your stock control sorted Harris Scarfe! This is beyond frustrating!!
Harris Scarfe, advertising a discount on merchandise. Get to the checkout and asked if your a member. Did not get the discounted price. Charged a few dollars more than the discounted price. Did not say it was a members Only discount. Sneaky! Show details

Even though Harris Scarfe has my money, but I don't have what I ordered, this is quite funny. There's been an order mix-up, and HS is assuming that the mix-up will go smoothly! My order goes to the wrong person, and I'm told that my own order can't be 'resent' until that person's order gets to me! I received a call on 29 Dec, 2025, from a lady in… Read more
South Australia who told me that she had received my order for an air-fryer and a knife sharpener (ordered, Dec 19). She told me she'd notified Harris Scarfe. I sent a note to HS on the same day (but I did not receive her package, an iron). Then, today (Jan 1), I received a call from HS about the issue, the upshot of which is that I cannot have my order resent until I have received the order that should have been received by the South Australian lady. I've asked for the order to be cancelled, and for a refund; I'm told they'll look into that and get back to me. Hmm. They'll probably cancel the order for the clothes iron.
I purchased a dinner set and 4 pasta bowls, they arrived smashed up, I reported this and another set were sent and arrived all smashed up. I reported this and provided numerous photos only to be asked by Lina for more and more photos. I have received no assistance and Lina is completely incompetent, rude and needs to be sacked she is an Absolute disgrace
I do not recommend that you buy from Harris Scarfe online, especially if you do not have a store nearby. The below was the back and forth over multiple weeks. I ordered two white bins. parcel label.
Another staff member stated they would cancel the replacements and arrange a refund. This did not occur.
The incorrectly sent replacements were still sent, but thankfully I was able to redirect them via AusPost to my local Post Office, and then refuse delivery.
However, I had to travel an hour by car + tolls in one direction to one of their stores to return the original bins. The system then indicated incorrectly that one had already been returned and a refund issued.
Thankfully, I documented everything with photos, notes, dates, times and names, and put in a successful PayPal claim for a refund.
On 7th December 2025 I asked by email for a Harris Scarfe manager to get in contact with me to discuss all these issues and the hassle it caused.
It is now 18th December 2025 and I have still not heard a response from a manager.
Needless to say, this has been one of the worst online purchase experiences I've had. The company made mistakes at almost every point in the fulfilment and return process.
Buyer beware.
your money back at your store is wrong . After purchasing a double bed spread and it was too small i was told I should have not opened it. How are you supposed to know if it fits. She got a tape measure out and told me that was the size was correct. Maybe for some beds but it didnt fit mine. Very angry not to be refunded like they do at other stores and embarrassing to be told in a shop with lots of people Julie Show details
I purchased fleecy sheets SOREN KING SIZE on JUly 8, I was concerned if they would go on as the mattress is deep. had to iron on several patches to fix the holes as they are so thin they keep tearing they are only 4 months old. I do not recommend these, steer clear altogether, they are inferior sheets.
I will never buy from this store again and DO NOT RECOMMEND this store to anyone. Worst returns policy ever. I would give no stars if I could. DO NOT BUY CLOTHES ONLINE. I thought that if the items didn’t fit I could return. That is classified as change of mind… I don’t have a store nearby so couldn’t try on so bought 2 sizes. Mind you they are a Horrible fit! Never bought anything like it! I ordered 2 blankets & added another as an impulse buy. I needed the first 2 enough to pay the $15 postage although I wasn’t impressed with that amount. that the blankets had been removed and tried a dummy checkout to see what had happened. A small error message was shown at the top of the paypal processing page that said an item was removed, although it did not give adequate information to cause alarm while hitting the PayPal button (after checking the items in the cart on the previous page). I sent an urgent email to Harris Scarfe asking them to cancel my order as it was outside of their operating hours. Monday I called and requested it be cancelled & was told they would check on the process and email me. They emailed advising that it had been sent and there’s nothing they could do. I could return it at my own cost as it’s a ‘change of mind return’. Although I argued that they unsatisfactorily gave notice of the removed items which would have stopped me purchasing all together, support reiterated again and again that I’d changed my mind. When I copied in the CEO they stopped the Aus Post delivery, refunded the blanket price and kept the $15 postage. No discussion or service. Their website issue cost me $15. I refuse to do business with them ever again. As Spotlight now owns them, I’ll be staying away from them too.
