HARVEY NORMAN WARRAWONG FLOORING - TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE – The installation delays I have experienced are woeful to say the least. have stock on hand at Auburn store",. After being advised stock is on hand, just need a week to get down from Sydney store, we have now been told, "order was lost", "your job is too small so hard to fit in a time", "we are back logged", "installer delayed on another site", "installer called in sick" these excuses all offered on different occasions over the course of 6 weeks - after paying and confirming initial install. Only in the past 10 days have I received follow up phone calls from Harvey Norman, up until then, it took me to be call them for updates - even asking why the installer hadn't shown up on the day he was confirmed. My STRONG advice, buy flooring elsewhere and if need be, engage with an independent tradie to do the install yourself - you will save a heap of time, money and inconvenience. You pay a premium for Harvey Norman Warrawong to co ordinate installation - but service delays and excuses have been shady to say the least. Never will I use them again, inspite of ongoing building project. Harvey Norman Flooring are an independant franchise to Harvey Norman, so you have no real after sales support or point of escalation. They simply do not care.

Excellent service – This was a job booked by our elderly mother shortly before her death. We had to delay the work several times while we got the apartment ready. Harvey Norman Flooring Cannington – The service at Harvey Norman Flooring Cannington was excellent. Greg Craig really knows how to help a customer select the right product and colour for their home. The service from start to finish was excellent. The layers they employ are excellent and get the job done on time and to an excellent quality finish. Does not resemble original flooring colour or quality – We had a perfect grey colour wood flooring installed by Harvey Norman Hobart, but were inundated with water and mud during a flood. perfect Builders covered the majority floor upon installation with recommended cardboard and sealed joins with heavy duty tape and one smaller area with cloth drop sheet to enable carpenter and painter to complete installation of skirting boards and painting Within two-three weeks when cardboard lifted and pre moving back in, we noticed several fairly large areas of discolouration (? fading), overall the flooring did not appear to be the same colour as original flooring. The company came After several calls to inspect and stated it was due to sunlight, despite one area not being located near windows. Note all was covered throughout as recommendations. We were told it would correct itself in six months......it’s now 14 months after that visit and although one area has improved though still not perfect, the others show little or no improvement. Also no edging was installed as required, I was repeatedly assured this would be done......still waiting. Many boards have discoloured edging which they say is normal, we had none on original flooring. It is now back with our insurer to resolve. Today the manager of flooring revisited insisting it is not a manufacturing fault..... I would Definitely not recommend this particular Harvey Norman. The original company in Hobart were extremely courteous and had laid a perfect floor in our new unit. Friends have commented was your floor not replaced after the flood, it doesn’t look anything like the floor you had. I am left extremely disappointed and upset by the condition of the wood flooring which was not cheap flooring and should last 20years.

Our New Top Grain Oak Floor – Yesterday we had installed a beautiful floor in our bedroom and it looks sensational. I am so happy with the process and turn around from Damien (appreciated his honest input) at Osborne Park and their contractors - Joe, Anthony & Jacob. They were very obliging and cleaned up afterwards nicely! Gotta love that! Big thanks boys! We will be back!

Do not use Moore Park for Flooring – Hunted around for a while to find timber flooring for our hallway to match our living area. Went to Harvey Norman and asked many a time "is this timber flooring" was told many times yes. When it came time to lay the flooring, halfway through installation, I am told by the installer " not this is manufactured flooring. I was not happy. The floor also creaks constantly. Caringbah store – Just had hybrid flooring completed by Caringbah store. Have no complaints about the service in store and the staff helped us as much as possible with problems that arose with a fairly complicated job. Would like to praise the sub contractor, David. He went out of his way to make sure the job was as near to what we wanted as possible. He was always willing to speak at any time and source material not normally in his range.

Pathetic customer service from Harvey Norman and Big River arrogance! – Paid $10,000 to get the "best" engineered spotted gum timber floor. We wanted the floor to have the look and feel of real solid timber and found that in 'Big River New Generation' Spotted Gum. everywhere, it started to look like skin pealing when you have been in the sun for too long. The Harvey Norman flooring Proprietor from Balgowlah came to have a look and agreed it is not acceptable and will get Big River to repair under warranty. We were very clear that we do not want the whole floor resurfaced and they agreed that will not be done. They did the repairs whilst I was overseas. On my return I found a disgusting looking floor, they have resurfaced the whole floor with a "plastic" feeling coating and trapped dirt, hair, etc everywhere. The floor now looks dull and looks and feel like plastic, there are scuff marks, blemishes and trapped dirt everywhere, it looks absolutely disgusting and far worst that the problem they were supposed to fix! The HN Proprietor agreed and brought the BR MD to come and see. Then the whole situation changed, the BR MD treated us like garbage and stated he did us a "favour" to resurface the floor as the warranty does not cover it! According to him the peeling is normal and acceptable! We now have a $10k floor which we do not want and both HN and BR ignores us. The HN Proprietor executed a repair job we did no want or ask for, he did not do what we requested and now ignores us.
