the morning whilst I had to wait for the tow truck. Car is towed and they haven't provided me with a solution of a replacement... just "waiting to hear". I needed the car specifically today and more importantly tomorrow as I go away fro the weekend. Decided I would just go buy a car but they WON'T CANCEL. So now I am stuck paying for 4 months and at it seems at the moment... without a car.

unmanned chair in a graphic designers office.) and a guy called [name removed] (who has no idea about cars) brought the car round from some elusive "yard". The car stank of cigarettes and had cigarette ash on the back seat. [name removed] had the audacity to say it was because of the NSW fires and refused to do anything about it In the end, he drove the car back to the yard where I believe he'd be cleaning the upholstery, only he returned the car as dirty as before and actually admitted to me they had just ran freshener through the vents. When I asked where they had bought the car from he replied, we have our ways. He also said the car had just been "detailed" (I have photos of the vehicle if anybody wants to see them, you can see for yourself this is a lie). Im no stranger to detailing, I've detailed a 2018 Navara and a 2016 Golf - this car hadn't even been vacuumed. I think because Im a young white girl he thought I was actually stupid enough to believe his lies. I said I wasn't happy and [name removed] said it would be $350 to give it back and that they didn't have another car to swap it with. Hilariously, at that very moment the website said there was another car - a Mondeo - readily available to drive away if I wanted it...more lies. I decided I didn't want to give him $350 for nothing so I took the car anyway and as I was driving away discovered that the (only) USB port didn't work. It was a 2012 Kia so there was no built in sat-nav or anything, so I needed it to keep my phone charged while I use my phone maps. They sent some woman to check the port, she agreed it didn't work, and said I would have to drive back another time when the mechanics were ready to see me, with fuel at my own expense. Id had the car home for 2 days (never heard from the mechanic) and it started giving off a foul smell like something had died inside of it. I checked all the vents and couldn't figure out where it was coming from, so I decided Id had enough and called [name removed] to arrange for me to drop it back and pay the cancellation fee. [name removed] said it would now be 350$ cancellation plus 400$ early return fee! Despite the evidence the car was endlessly faulty! I didn't even dispute this as I realised then that these guys were going to do whatever they wanted to me. And the final straw...instead of invoicing me the fees, they just took $750 out of my account, and sent me an email 2 hours later letting me know they had done so. Yes that's right, they literally stole money out of my account without permission which I know is illegal...except its not, because you agree to it in the contract, so don't sign it.

Best thing is the three day test ownership. Pay for the vehicle, drive it for three days and if you don't want it you get all your money back. Sure beats a few times around the block.
We asked for a couple of extra things and got them no trouble at all. They even bought the vehicle straight to our mechanic so he could check it over before departing on the initial test drive. That's confidence in what you're selling!

factor and nothing to do with the car itself which was very fairly priced (we’d done our prior research on this make and model) and well presented. We’d also paid a $500 deposit to ‘hold’ the car for 7 days so we could organise the test drive and that was immediately refunded as soon as I let Rebecca know we wouldn’t be buying the car.
I must say it was also a real delight to have a fixed price for a car and know you didn’t have to go through the extremely wearing farce of haggling down an overpriced vehicle with a used car salesman in a dealership office if you decided to buy it. I know some people enjoy that sort of thing, but there’s a lot of us who hate it! The ability to have your chosen car brought to your door for a test drive is also a wonderful convenience. And, although we didn’t get to try this option out as we didn’t buy the car, their offer of the ability to return the car for a full refund within three days after you buy it is quite amazing.
I would certainly have no hesitation in using HelloCars again. A very easy and positive experience.

I was then told that they had made a mistake with my quotes and offered me in the high $30K's for the car rather than the mid to high $40K's which I'd been led to expect by their estimates (the car is in very good condition). It is my opinion that they either deliberately mislead people, or simply do not know their business.
Typical Used Car Dealers, Don't Believe the Hype – They wanted me to pay $49 for the right to test drive the car. Worse, they tried to pressure me into paying a $500 deposit to 'secure' the car before I had even seen it! Top notch business model!

closed and offered me to arrange the test drive for next day. My whole plan went for a toss. They themselves were not aware that they will be closed on this day. You know what? I have ended up buying another car on next day morning at 8:00 AM. Hellocars have not given me any service but charged me $49. It is more than 17 days but have not seen any refund. Probably they have too many system issues and want to build their business model using our money! I will suggest to think twice before you interact with them.

Easy to use – The website is simple and easy to use. I managed to quickly find the exact model of car and got an online quote of around $14k which is much better than I was expecting. In the end, I decided to keep the car for another year or two, but would use them again.

Waste of time. Stay away! – I received an online quote of around $10,000. I was happy with the range and booked an inspector. Inspector came (30 mins late) and he was not a mechanic or has any tools to inspect the car. Saw some old oil marks from distance (already fixed years ago) and reported it as a current oil leak. Received $3,500 offer. Such a waste of time. Never again.

saw another problem and felt the car was not right for me so I have to return it. The problem was the car itself showing inaccurate tyre pressure reading.
