outstanding customer support from HP
I recently had problems with my HP Officejet Printer and HP i7 Laptop, both of which are out of warranty, most likely due to windows updates. My laptop screen started to go black when I moved the mouse. I could not click on anything. I read everything I could find online but nothing fixed the problem. I rang HP support. The first person I spoke to said to disconnect all plugged in attachments and hold the on/off switch down for a count of 20, then press for a count of 3 to start. The flickering cleared for a couple of days but started again. Af
... Read moreter once again looking for online solutions and not finding anything that worked, I again rang HP support. This time the person tried varying some settings. However, the problem occurred again next day. I rang HP for a third time and after trouble shooting it became apparent that the only solution was to remove Windows 11 and reload a new version. The person stayed online until the process was completed to make sure it worked and followed up with a call next day to check that the problem had been solved. With regard to the printer, following windows updates the dialog box changed and would not print colour. A very helpful HP support person did a remote fix for me. A couple of weeks later the printer was not connecting to my system following an Optus outage. Another very helpful HP customer service person worked out that the outage had changed the modem's IP and changed the printer IP to match. However, I had to change the IP the next time I printed as it had gone offline again. After reloading Win 11 the printer is working 100% reliably so it would appear the problem was largely due to Windows updates.- Return Claim Made: No

Do not buy HP OfficeJet printers - HP OfficeJet Pro 9012 All-in-One
Terrible unit (OfficeJet Pro 9010 Series). Constantly going offline and not printing. Customer support is even worse. Terrible, unclear communication, delayed responses etc.

dreadful laptop
I purchased a laptop last week from Hervey Norman Hervey Bay 14S-DQ3099TU NBK BLK I returned it to the store as it was locking iup dropping out of the internet etc and extremely slow .I picked it up from Hervey Normans to day they had a Tech look at it and is working however it is excruciatingly
slow I would recommend anyone looking at this model and brand to run in the opposite direction! Hervey Norman advise that it is a cheap computer and is meant to be slow. I wasn't told that at point of sale.

Great laptops, care packs are less useful than care bears unless you have plenty of time
I have a number of HP Probooks and Zbooks. Recently called HP regarding next day warranty on one (which is an additional charge when you buy it). I have next day on site service. Yes, i got a call from them next day, and then a email from their agent, who have been telling me for a few weeks now the part is on order.
Nobody has looked at it to work out what is wrong. I have offered to drive the laptop to them to check it. Heard nothing. All i am getting is that HP have ordered the part, so the company that does the repairs can't do anything

HP - never again!
Purchased a HP All-in-One Officejet printer 9010 and it's printhead died in 1.5 years. Being out of warranty, I was told to purchase a new printhead out of pocket and that it wouldn't necessarily fix the problem. At the end of day, was cheaper to throw away the printer than deal with a continuing headache. Terrible reliability and customer support! Will never be buying a HP product again.

The entire computer industry is rotten to the core.
After months of searching for a new laptop and reading literally hundreds of pages of consumer reviews on Product Review, I have not found a single computer company with even remotely acceptable credentials. The so-called expert reviews in dedicated computer magazines rarely inspired as their reports are in sharp contrast to what consumers are experiencing, and saying. I can only speculate in that they dare not mention anything adverse for fear of losing advertising revenue. Notwithstanding that I have gone from dealer to dealer as in Harvey No
... Read morerman, JB hi fi, Retravision, Good Guys, etc, without success. And then there were the specialist IT shops that were ridiculously overpriced albeit they were basically offering the same junk. The big players in the computer industry are having a field day, fobbing off poor quality software and products while providing no recourse avenues. Service is gobsmacking atrocious, treating consumers with outright contempt while they continue to trade with impunity. Albeit thousands of product and service complaints, this has had zero positive impact. Their marketing and sales modus operandi amounts to nothing less than bullying tactics extending to coercion. Consumers are just not getting the service they paid for. When engaging with sales and service departments, constructive feedback is ignored, and ghosting rampant - they stop responding to emails and calls. Anyone in the market for a new computer reading consumer reviews for Lenovo, Microsoft, Acer, Apple, Asus, Hewlett-Packard, Dell, etc, will quickly establish that with an average of less than 1.5 stars from thousands of reviewers, it’s a hopeless scenario. It makes no difference as to the price, make and model one buys - the risks are astronomical. Modern computers are unreliable, overpriced and don’t last. With laptops, it’s all about lighter and thinner so they overheat. Laptops can no longer be described as laptops as these horrible devices require placement on hard surfaces for air to circulate or they’ll overheat and catch fire. Critical components of previous generations are non existent - we now need to invest in docking stations, SD card readers, external storage devices and optic drives. Adding insult to injury, our desktops are cluttered and now look like a dog’s breakfast. So much for portability - it’s a joke. SD card readers should be a standard feature on all computers as we use SD cards in our dash cams, cameras, security systems, smartphones, etc. Antivirus software, Microsoft packages, etc, is another unavoidable cost. All these add-ons almost doubles the base price of most computers. When it comes to inferior products, bad service and related financial loss, the consumer is bearing the brunt of this diabolical situation. Be assured, the thousands of man-hours lost in Government departments and businesses experiencing identical issues are being passed on to the consumer. Trying to source a reliable laptop with solid support is a lost cause. In short, commercial theft en mass. Hewlett-Packard have more laptop variants and models than craters on the moon. Seems like every dealer is given their own exclusive model, with Hewlett-Packard offering a totally different range. Try finding this JB hifi offering, HP 15-fd0034TU 15.6” Full HD Laptop (512GB) [13th Gen Intel i7] on the Hewlett-Packard website - it doesn’t exist. Nor does it exist in the Harvey Norman lineup. So an unfair consumer predicament as one cannot compare and shop around. The typical range available in most large retail stores are diabolical - the natural silver keyboard lettering is difficult to read and unclear - an abomination for tired eyes. Yet Hewlett-Packard boasts a none-glare panel for supposed use outdoors. Go figure. Some of the latest versions now have black keyboards but no SD card readers. Their business laptops with black keyboards are no better. The cheap 1366x768 HD screen resolution features on many models rather than 1920x1080 FHD, and the measly 256GB storage capacity are just a few examples of cheap and nasty. Well documented, is the Hewlett-Packard Victus series which has unbelievably bad flex in the lid / screen yet Hewlett-Packard continues to produce and market this substandard laptop, fobbing it off to unsuspecting customers. Hewlett-Packard sales are a slick operation - all about getting rid dead stock which includes overpriced laptops, returns and refurbished items. Their meagre discounts are an insult. The supercilious Hewlett-Packard believe they are too good to respond to concerns or queries from prospective buyers. Clearly, the masters of stonewalling as they never once responded to even one of about a dozen email enquires. With Hewlett- Packard, it’s caveat emptor all the way - if you dare.Fantastic Customer Service
I placed an online request to speak to someone about a faulty cable with my HP Reverb G2 (which I love) and within 5 minutes of submitting my request for a phone call from HP, a representative called me and solved my issue. HP will send me a new cable within the next few days. Just gotta be happy with that service. Thank you HP.

Company won't stand behind its products- Beware
I have owned a HP Reverb G2 VR headset since November 2020. For the most part, it has met expectations however the power cord needed replacing due to a known fault. As of last month, the headset stopped working. I went through troubleshooting, replaced the power cord again, tried on a different PC etc. Would not work. Contacted HP, they diagnosed a problem with the headset itself and offered a repair costing the same amount as a new one (Coincidentally). There had been a 12 month warranty from HP on it which ran out the start of 2022, how

I have forwarded this to Fair Trading for their adjudication.- Return Claim Made: Yes

Won't buy their laptops again
Used to buy HP laptops for a long time. My last 2 laptops each have lasted for just a year then started to break down due to unfixable hardware issues. Not a good value when you are payin $1,500.
My impression is that this brand and the whole windows operating system have become obsolete.
Never thought I will consider Apple mcbooks, because I dont want to start a new learning journey, but because I want reliability, I guess I will have to move on and change to mcbook.
What a shame HP !

So Disappointing
I bought an HP desktop, because of my experience with their excellent hardware performance.
I had problems from day 1 with this desktop and it took 2 months and a replacement machine before I could get the promised 'on-site support'.
They tried every excuse in the book, including 'no parts are available', to avoid sending the service rep.
Eventually the problem was 'sort of fixed', well circumvented, and I am now in production.
I read the documentation and have a query only to get the email reply "This mailbox is not being monitored. Please c

I have tried all possible methods of email contact only to see their web site say "We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent. No wonder they can offer 3 year on site support - if you can never contact them !!- Return Claim Made: No

HP Support were no help!
My pen was not working on my laptop. I asked HP support for help and got Salman as a help assistant. They was no help whatsoever. Apparently there had been a glitch in their “tool” so they couldn’t retrieve details on my pen. I had to wait a whole day until they got back to me. When they got back to me they said the pen was not compatible even though it was! It literally says on the HP website. This person is not reliable at all if they are not knowledgeable on their products. So I told them that it was and then they gave me advice to drain the

Dealt with a case manager today called Sushna. We have a HP printer that has failed 1.5 years into using it. Always used Genuine Ink - anyway the other day I was told that HP will not be covering it because it's outside of the warranty. I told her that I fix computer's for a living and that a printer should last longer than 1.5 years. She would not budge - she refused to do anything to assist me as a customer. I am trying to have a business notebook repaired. After spending hours on the phone to attempt to diagnose the issue, I was advised I would be issued with a quote. After waiting a few days (and already advising this is a business computer I required fixed urgently), I finally received a quote advising I needed to make payment before they could proceed. I have an old HP deskjet1050 and just got a new computer finding it hard to find a driver
Anyone have any input about HP + either negative or positive?
Great while they work, dont expect any help if you have a claim while under warranty. HP = 0 warranty.
same here. if you have issues like I have had with three machines, They are useless, even if you escalate with customer support, they don't want to do anything. simple thing is... do not buy HP laptops.
