During the pandemic, we got busy with various other things. Gradually the floors got worse. We contacted them again in May 24, they kept dragging this issue.

Excellent customer service - great result – Rez listened carefully to what we were looking for (a 3x4m rug). Walked us through the choices. Could the rug be cut to specific dimensions? No problem. the pricing provided by Martin could not have been beaten by any other stores. Martin explained to us in detail about all the products he had in his store and helped us decide on the product which was best suited to our needs. The product we purchased from him was the Quick Step Ultra Impressive 12mm which is really a top quality product. Martin patiently answered my several queries through emails/phone calls and also upon our request he managed to arrange the installation of the flooring at a date which was convenient to us. His installation team Mark and his peer are top notch installers and they installed 107m2 of flooring in one day with speed and without compromising on the quality of the installation.

Nice customer service – I bought 2 pieces of floor strips for replacement, but it turned out the colour is quite different from existing ones. I returned the strips and got refund without any hassle. Very happy – Hills Flooring did a great job and the layers got the whole job, including new skirtings done in only a day. After living with a bare concrete floor for about 5 weeks it's great to have it done and, in New England Blackbutt the overall effect is great. Very happy I chose to go with Hills Flooring.

Would Recommend – My friend who bought flooring from them last year recommended them to me. Wanted to remove the carpet and replace it with Laminate. The guys at the store had good knowledge of the product and helped me choose the product. They gave us free carpet removal and underlay which helped me save the overall cost. I am happy with their service and I’d keep recommending them.

Distressing Experience – This was the worst and most distressing experience. The floor that they laid cupped within a couple of weeks and then a few of the boards tented up. We were left with all the floor boards cupping and 3 missing boards. The staff were extremely unprofessional and we had to take them to Fair Trading followed by NCAT. Great workmanship. Very happy with the result – We were very happy with the service. Martin and Rez were very friendly and helped us through the selection of the materials. Mark and his team did a very clean job and we are very happy with the end result. Good workmanship.

So terrible. Steer completely clear! – This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a business. Their staff were five days late in completing the task, took multiple days to complete the job, and had us standing around waiting for them to arrive for hours on the days they did show up. 1-2mm beneath crooked floor trims. One of our doors now doesn’t close properly. The management basically begged us to pay in full, as it appears they don’t have cash on reserve to pay their suppliers. I am not surprised their business is failing, as their work was incredibly sub standard. I’ll be needing to bring in a more skilled workman to repair the work done. The one saving grace for this company was a cheerful and pleasant carpet guy named Omar who did an alright job.

Job done well – Update: I had a few communication issues during the job, but they were promptly resolved by Martin soon after. The job itself was very well done by Mark. Great worker and excellent to deal with. I recommend speaking with Martin directly if you have trouble dealing with some of the other staff.

and are very easy to deal with. Before I lock down on Hills Flooring, I had been to many other Vendors. Some of them offered quotes with a lesser amount but I was not getting enough confidence in any of them. But, when I talked to Martin, I felt genuinely positive about the Products and services they offer and they have proved that my understanding was 100% correct. Thanks a lot, Martin for all the good work and I will definitely refer Hils Flooring to all the people who are looking for quality flooring solutions.

Would never recommend- ended at NCAT – Purchased bamboo flooring from this store. Nothing but trouble with poor installation. Flooring cupped and buckled within months. Tim was down right rude. Hills Flooring refused to fix it unless we paid half the repair cost despite it being due to them. Ended up having to take them to Fair Trading and NCAT. Don’t waste your money!!!

Enjoyable Experience – We recently visited Hills Flooring, after a number of other Flooring Shops we found the staff at Hills Flooring to be very helpful and were most happy to go through the different types of timber flooring. The salesperson explained in detail the process of laying timber flooring. Excellent service, thanks Rez.

Great work hills flooring – We have recently used hills flooring and can’t speak more highly of the experience.The work involved putting down a floating laminate floor in a 2 storey house and attached granny flat.Tim at hills flooring made the process stress free from start to finish.The price quoted was the same as the completed price and the workmanship is superb and I therefore highly recommend them

Almost one year after my purchase and I could not be happier – We bought Wonderwood Bluckbutt Laminate from Martin and his crew almost 1 year ago and we could not be happier. Not only the installation and the support was amazing but the wood is top notch quality and you can tell it with the time. Definitely recommended.

Lousy Customer Experience – I used Hills Flooring to install laminate in my family room. I initially booked in 4 weeks in advance as we were renovating, I called two days before the install was booked just to confirm as it had been a month since hearing anything and was informed there was a delay due to 'rain', and asked could I do the next day, I couldn't do any other… Read more

weekdays so had to push back to Saturday, ok fine.

I was then called on the Friday and informed that the timber had not arrived and would not be in for a week from Melbourne - this is despite the original order now being placed over 5 weeks ago, I expressed my dissatisfaction that my order would now be 2 weeks late and had not been told of any issue when I had first contacted them, this meant I could not complete our renovations for 2 weeks due to this company.

The response was literally "not my problem", the owner stonewalled, the fact that the stock hadn't arrived was the only issue to him, not that he had over five weeks to get it, that he had delayed already (and given me a different story) a week before or that a week lead time for a (delayed) order of less than 20m2 from Melbourne could not be expedited.

Absolutely zero customer service, I wanted to cancel out of frustration but thought better of it as I could never get a floor by next weekend.

My personal assumption is that they actually forgot my order (they took a long time to locate it when I first rang), placed it when I checked and then it didn't arrive within the week, or they used the stock on another job.

As I wasn't home when it was finally installed, they also told my wife I had opted to have the skirting boards lifted when I had asked for the trim (which was on my invoice), the installer was quite rude about it to her and by then we just wanted our room back, it was a pretty blatant cost saving measure.

Pretty lousy experience all round - however the install was quick, and so far the product appears to be holding up well, so buy at your own risk.
