6 years and still going strong – Bought this fridge 6 years ago and it has not skipped a beat even after a house move! Love the wide shelves for oven trays or cakes, I like the freezer below, rather than above. Entertaining is a breeze with shelves easily moved and cleaning is easy. I just recently dropped one of the door baskets and it broke, but I can still get replacements 6 years later!! That's brilliant. Would get another if it failed. Show details
worst fridge/freezer ever – we brought this in 2018 and have has nothing but problems with it, the doors are crooked all out of wack, dropping all the time, it says frost free, but it is full of ice because the seals dont work properly, had repairer out 3 times so far. should have stuck with Electrolux Show details

this one has one you can fill with a jug. I also like how there is an alarm to tell you a door has been left open as I have small children who don't like to close doors. I have found the freezer drawers to be a pain as you have to dig through to find what you want so I think I would opt for one with shelves now. Also the edges of the shelves in the door of the fridge aren't high enough, so things tend to fall out when you open the doors. The biggest fault which has ruined my good opinion of this fridge is it has stopped working and trying to find a repairman has been impossible. No one in our area fixes Hisense fridges. After being on hold to Hisense for 20 minutes the repairer they recommended no longer exists. When I finally found someone that was recommended from another repairman he kept saying he was coming but wouldn't show up day after day. After 2 weeks of not being able to find someone to fix the fridge the bottom freezer has now stopped working. I did think it was a great fridge and it was a cheap option, however I would expect a fridge to last longer than 5 years. Had I known next to nobody repairs Hisense fridges I would have chosen another brand.

freezer is put too close against to the back wall.
Because we are dog owners too and have to relay of our freezer with it deep freeze setting from -14C down to -24C to quick freeze our home made dog food every month . The drawers inside the freezer are just perfect and the big extra centre drawer can be slided back in under top drawer in order to get to the bottom drawer or just take it out completely to be filled up and it's slides back in again easily. However if you look for cheap modern fridge /freezer and you don't want to spend a large amount of money or if you have already swollen feet from running around in the shops, then just check out if this product will do job instead. This fridge came only with a 2/5 Energie star rating, but I can tell it's still lower in power usage than my 10 year old Westinghouse fridge/freezer which was over 100l smaller than my hisense 630l.
Please make sure your measurements are done in advance correctly before purchase , because of the big door handle sticking out at front it can be tied fit getting it through the door. Maybe you will need consider unscrewing the handle before pushing it through the doors!
Great fridge – I love the spaciousness of this fridge as you can fit really large trays, pots and pans with no issues. family loves the water dispenser - it is very handy and it doesn't require plumbing. It was one of the few spacious fridges on the market that didn't require plumbing for the water dispenser.
The only negatives are the sliding tray in the freezer - the operation is quite awkward. Also when the house is quiet there is a slight noise, but we are used to this now and do not notice it anymore.
The only other negative is that the delivery guys scratched up my floor when delivering the fridge, but this is hardly the fault of the fridge.
In summary, I would recommend this fridge as it very spacious and we love the water dispenser. We have been very happy with it.

regularly and remove ice buildup from back of freezer in order for the fridge to stay cool. - Yesterday morning while making the lunches, the entire right hand side fridge door FELL OFF on me, containing 3 litres of milk and 4 litres of juice. If it had have been one of my kids (8 and 6 years old) it could have caused great harm, as it was, it only hurt me. the spring and round pin that holds the hinge came out and I was left holding the fridge door.

Worst fridge I have ever owned – I bought this fridge just under 3 years ago. It went in the first year and was replaced with a new fridge. It has gone again and i have now been 3 weeks with no working fridge. The customer support is good but the service agent they sent out took 2 weeks to get to me and then came twice 5 days apart and it is still not working as he says he is not sure why it isnt cooling. Lasted 3 Years – Loved the size and design, but found the temperature uneven and would often freeze my food. After 3 years the cooling completely quit. Fridge and freezer work well – Had fridge since October 2015. Everything works well. Stii freeezes and fridge stays cool. Nothign has broken in the fridge . There is no need to lift middle draw as it slides back. Only problem with this fridge is rusting on the outside. It only gets wiped down with a slightly damp cloth but has rust spots everywhere. After contacting them again, as this obviously didn’t work, they sent out a technician. I will never buy Hisense again. Works well however exterior surface very poor – After owning fridge for a short period it became noisy. coating on the exterior and general use wears the coating off where your fingers touch the door when opening and closing. Even in areas where you don’t touch is affected. Rust spots also appearing on exterior surface. Looks terrible and nothing you can do to make it look better. Customer care section useless. They don’t have a clue just read off computer screen. Wouldn’t buy hisense again. Should have had hisense deal with exterior before warranty expired. Good guys warranty only covers electrical and mechanical issues so no luck there.

receipt number. I asked them to look up the date of manufacture for the serial number - sorry cant do that they say. Simple if the fridge was made less than three years ago and sent to an Australian distributor/retailer, surely it would be in the warranty period..... Seems simple maths is beyond some organisations. We were able to get that an hour or so later. They want to claim they're as good as the others but when we had an issue with our electrolux oven, no hassles, the tech didnt even need to see the proof of purchase. The electrolux issue was resolved with having a tech onsite the very next day. Hisense says they'll contact us 1 business day after the fault is logged, and it typically takes 1 to 3 days after that to get a tech on site. Hello this is a fridge. How about prioritising a tech to fridge calls in summer. Not hard. So I posted on their facebook page in Australia - there answer was to remove my posts and ban me from posting. So in short, don't buy a Hisense product their warranty is crap.

service had not been put through which meant we had to wait close to a month for someone to come and fix it. Upon fixing it the technician didn’t bring the correct tools!!! So we had to wait another 2 weeks for him to come back out.
Freezer fan making noise – This is our first purchase of any Hisense product. We only purchased this fridge and had it delivered on Wednesday this week. the right position plugged it in & turned it on..........straight away we noticed & could hear a slight sort of rattling/buzzing sound! & thought it may just be due to being empty. After filling the fridge with food we could still hear this noise, checked we removed all the packaging from inside & there was no tape stuck so left it for the night.
The next day it was still there but we found it stopped when the freezer draw was opened!
We ended up searching intensely for this noise that no way should have been there.
We found when the freezer draw is open on the back wall there is a panel held on with 4x screws. We took this off & found a small plastic fan which is to stop the freezer building up ice, just catching on the slide so this was the culprit making noise we could hear.
This fan is attached to a small motor which we just moved around slightly to stop the fan catching on the side & it stopped making any noise! screwed the panel back on and its been silent since then.
Such a basic fix but not everyone might think to look there.
Just think during the making this little issue should not even happen.
This was our only issue so far & as we fixed ourselves we didn't bother contacting the store.
Very good fridge – We have had this for two years and has never been a problem. The only thing I find annoying is the bottom crisper draw is on piece where the top drawers are two piece. It just means opening both doors to get at the bottom crisper draw. Otherwise a great fridge. Show details
