Holden Astra PJ (2015-2016)
Verified5 reviews
Great car with plenty of space, well kitted and quick – Everyday driver including interstate travel, serviced as manual recommends. No issues in 5 years of ownership. Would recommend to friends and family. Frugal but powerful engine, fits people 195cm tall in all seats and has a 375L boot.
Purchased in at Holden Dealers for $14,888.

Love this car! Best purchase ever made – Absolute killer of a car. Engine growls at low revs and the body is an elegant but sporty shape. Plenty of legroom and leather seats are super comfortable. However there is a bit of turbo lag especially at lower speeds and at 11.0L/100km, she's a thirsty one that will keep your petrol costs high. Overall I would definitely recommend this to anyone who's looking for a stunner and a great driving experience.

Love it! VXR is a beast! – This car is an absolute weapon. The little 2.0L turbo engine is amazing. I've owned my Astra VXR for over a year now after purchasing it new and I've not had a single complaint except maybe the fuel economy. Smiles per miles I tell myself when driving this car because you don't even think about fuel economy while driving this beast.

Perfect little beautiful vehicle – I find my Holden Astra GTC handles well for short and long distance, fantastic on petrol for my long distance travels. I love the little red lights and the layout of the dash, I would just like something on the dash to tell me what gear I am in. My car is only just 2 years old and had never had a issues. The services are quite reasonable which has allowed me to pay off my loan earlier.

the wild woman of street cars – these cars are made in Poland as opels (gm) and are popular in the UK but are not to popular in Australia (maybe we like cars to be over 25 years in design?) but that's good for me because i purchased a demo for only 31k(aud) while full retail was 45k(aud) and still got 175k(klm) warranty, so i think its grate value for a car that is a turbo charge 2 liter 206kw (276hp) rocket that eats wrx's and xr4's for lunch and then eats mazda 6's for diner, if you read journalist reviews they will bang on about it not having a reverse camera and no touch screen and there's too many buttons on the infotainment panel and then start winging about the torque steer, yes it does have torque steer only because it has so much power going in to the front 20 inch wheals, but it is predictable and she can be masted and tamed after about 500klm.
while as for the brakes well they are brembo's and will out brake anything else and that's the secret in going fast.
not the prettiest face but the rear end looks nice, plus the hipsters will stay away because of the 6 speed manual (no wimpy auto padelshift here).
