Terrible. Do not use
This company is absolutely useless, i wouldn't have given them 1 star but i had to select something to write the review. I will not use you & will not recommend you. I booked then cancelled due to covid but my money hadn't been refunded. Using the contact number on my booking confirmation,they had no clue where my money was or who to contact for a refund as apparentlyit was booked through a 3rd party ( no mention on the booking of this). After eventually speaking to someone on the website chat, agent Hana, she said you won't get a refund for 23...-25 business days,absolutely ridiculous when you received my money immediately. She said theres nothing that can be done then rudely cut off the chat. How does it take over a month to give someones money back! And how can you treat customers like that. Disgusting.

Holiday Autos is a scam. I booked a car on 11/17, got an email they would let me know once confirmed. Then I received an email the following day telling me there was a problem and it didn’t go through. I called my cc company and there was actually a pending charge from them, “Cartrawler”. I called and spoke with customer care with my credit card company and provided them with the approval number, he denied having any record of it and could not connect me with finance until the next day. After being on the phone for over an hour and panicking ov...er not having a car reserved, I agreed to rebook another car and apply my payment. Instead, THEY CHARGED MY CARD AGAIN, overdrawing my credit card limit. They apologized and promised the finance department would call me. I was on the phone over 2 hours. 11/19, shocker, no call. Instead, I wake up to an email that they TRIED TO CHARGE ME A THIRD TIME, it didn’t go through since they already overdrew the card. I called again to beg them to remove the hold from my card. They insisted they did not know the merchant ID number, the manager didn’t know the number, and they could not connect me with finance. 1.5 hours later no resolution they told me I would get an email. Finance is “investigating “ the issue, and said they will let me know if I’m due a refund. After almost 4 hours on the phone, 3 emails with screen shots, they still can not take 5 minutes to call my card company to remove the hold. I’m traveling in 1 day and have no available credit to book a car if I can even find one now. Thank you for ruining my week and likely my entire vacation. Do not waste your time with this evil incompetent company. This issue has still not been resolved.
Took my Money, gave no car!
In February of 2019 I reserved and paid for a rental car from Holiday Autos. Read that again, I paid for the car, the transaction had already gone through on my credit card.
My flight from Calgary to Toronto was delayed by 2 hours. I was on the phone to Holiday Autos multiple times, and at one point made a quick call to the manager in Toronto while the plane was waiting to taxi down the runway...

Reneged on their Fully-Refundable booking guarantee
In February 2020 I made 2 separate bookings and paid for May 2020 USA car hire, expressly noting that bookings were cancellable and fully-refundable up to 1 day prior to pickup. I cancelled both bookings on March 23 due to the Covid-19 situation messing up my USA vacation. I was told it would take up to 20 business days to refund monies paid. I patiently waited one month with no refund coming through. I got in touch with Customer Service and complained - I was told it would take another month due to CV-19 ! What a load of bunkum - as far as I c...an see this should have been a simple refund as I doubt they had paid any money whatsoever to the Hire Car companies providing the booked vehicles. I have resorted to lodging disputes with my credit card company to get a refund via a chargeback .....and I'm still waiting for that. My advice is to stay well away from these people who are happy to take your money but unwilling to fulfill their refund policy which they proudly trumpet as a reason to use them rather than their competitors. You reap what you sow.....
Have been waiting over 5 weeks for reservation refund already . My flight was cancelled due to corona pandemia . Booking com returned money straight away (despite that hotel room was booked as non-refundable) , so did Ryanair. Those halfwits from Holiday Autos keep sending emails that it will take another 2 weeks for money to be refunded .So far nothing has been been credited back to my card . I will be using my credit card bank to get my money from them next week. I rent cars frequently and have annual global excess police but I will never ever rent from these crooks again!
Unfortunately my experience with Holiday Autos site is very bad. Firstly I rented a car from Holiday Autos site that provided Green Motion’s company as local supplier in Gdansk in Poland.
When we arrived to Gdansk in 27-12-2019 we surprised at Green Motion had no office in Gdansk airport. So we phoned them then one of the employees came after 20 minutes to pick us from the airport to their office location. Avoid using Holiday Autos by all means! They offer no support once you pay through them. As they are just a web aggregator, if anything goes wrong with the rental company you will have no support from them as they lay down to the rental companies (in our case Maggiore Car Rental).
We selected a car in Milan Italy and paid in full before pick up, this is normal per the conditions on their website. Once we got to the airport, they asked again for a deposit, also normal. We took out full insurance for the car as well. ...When we returned the car they refunded the money into my account and we got on the plane home. While we were on the plane they took the money out again! (600) I was in constant contact trying to get the money back from the Maggiore Car Rental, they eventually admitted they double charged us, I thought the money would be returned but they were ignoring my emails so I then contacted Holiday Autos. They were understanding and realised the mistake on Maggiore’s behalf, but have done nothing to fight for me. This is just blatant stealing from consumers! Do yourself a favour and book direct with a respectable company who will look after you and not rip you off whilst admitting it too. I have email proof of Maggiore admitting their mistake, yet no reimbursement.
Do not touch "Holiday Autos"

To potential future customers to stay clear from this website. There appears to be some sort of scam with the insurance policy. When I went to collect the car the insurance policy wasn't accepted yet I had to pay for it when booking the car. No phone number had to correspond via email. Very frustrating! I will be formally complaining to ASIC and Department of Fair Trading. This is wrong what they are doing. They owe me $304!
DO NOT TRUST THEM
They are scammers! They refused to refund my deposit, trying to say that the cancelation was less than 24hrs before pick up, which it wasn’t!! I also have all info to prove it!!

The worst serviced I have ever recieved. I would give it negative stars if possible.
I was given the wrong car which in addition to being mcuh older than advertised, was also unsafe. Our headlights did not work, restricting the times we were able to drive.
After multiple calls to the company, we were told nothing could be done as there were no other cars available.
Furthermore, when calling the company to discuss compensation, we were told that we should have asked for another car.
This company is the worst and I will never use their services again.
Refused to refund payment
Refused to refund any of the payment after the car hire was cancelled at the last minute. They pointed to an obscure condition in the T&Cs to justify the decision.
Scam : Holiday Autos to avoid absolutely !
Beginning of March, on holiday in Mexico, I booked a car with Holiday Autos with a drop-off agency different from the pick-up one. Holiday Autos being only an intermediary, the rental had to be done with the physical renter Avis.
When booking, in addition to the price of the rental, transfer fees of the car from one agency to another were charged.
Since the pick-up agency was on an island, and in order to be sure that I could take the rental car out of the island, I sent an email to Holiday Autos before the 24-hour cancellation period to be sur...
We rented 2 different hire cars through this company. First hire car in Brisbane wasn't big enough. Was meant for 5 adults and 5 suitcases. Couldn't even for 3 suitcases in.
2nd hire car company in Melbourne the place was shut when we got there. Eventually found the other car place but the member of staff was hopeless.

THEY CHEAT,CANT CONTACT THEM FOR A REFUND
I make a reservation at 23-03-2019 in athens for 2 days, i paid full insurance for the car. when I arrived to the airport and I went to the office to receive my car they told me that the insurance that I have paid doesnt work for them and I had to pay again to the airport. I tryed to contact the HOLIDAY AUTOS by phone they dont answer, then I emailed them and they dont answer again. I want a refund for the full insurance I payed to them and cant contact them. I gave the papers to my lawyer and i will continue it till the end. THEY ARE CHEATING ON CUSTOMERS VERY BAD BEHAVIOUR.
They offered me a car that the company didn’t have and then offered me insurance that the rental company didn’t back up. Tried to contact them about the insurance and they denied it and wanted nothing to do with me. Terrible company, avoid at all costs
Triple check before you purchase
Check directly with the car rental company. The insurance items being sold to you (the important / non-ridiculous ones anyway) are most likely already included by default. The customer service never responds despite sending multiple automated emails saying that they will get back to you. I received an email saying that refund has been cancelled as requested, but charges still went through. I can see that other customers below use the words scam* and rip*off. I cannot see why that is a stretch.
Better off walking than "renting" from Holiday Auto
What a rip off this company is. I paid for a car months in advance with a reservation and when I got there they didn't have a vehicle for me. Rather than refund me, I have to fight with the credit card company.
They have a crap customer service team and are a scam of a company. I would rather walk around the globe than rent with them again.
Total scam. Booked a car in Kiev using Herz as the supplier and 10 minutes prior to picking up the car they called me and told me their last car got into an accident and they don't have any other car to rent.
Holidayautos.com does not have a phone number to call. They respond in 24 hours via email only. They did not automatically cancel the fees and they tried to keep the service fee. I need to go through my credit card company to recover the money.
All this headache for nothing!
Worst company I ever seen. Make booking and got email of booking confirmation and when arrived at airport the rental car company said that booking was cancelled week ago. No information no update. down book rental car with them.
