I am so disappointed in this mixer. Brought it last week and used it for the first time yesterday. Wouldn't cream butter & sugar because the beater doesn't reach the bottom of the bowl, and didn't really mix other ingredients that well either. Would really like to return it Show details

The lights don’t come on. The beaters don’t reach the bottom of stainless steel bowl to make meringues. The dough hook when making scones does not reach sides of bowl and so mixture has to be mixed with a knife. It is impossible to read numbers on dial…just hit and miss! Good for first timers only – Bowl beaters do not reach bottom of the bowl and to mix at bottom you need to push it slightly at the top till the bottom. The push button to put up the beaters sticks and hard to get up. Good for a first learners bake bowl but doesn't last. It is making awful grinding sounds at 6 months .

Leaks black substance into dough – only used this mixer couple of times, but both times it leaked black substance into the dough, went to Kmart but they refused to replace or fix it, because it is out of one year warranty apparently. Show details

Noisy Faulty Product – Very noisy machine, occasionally used but headlift interlock was broken within 14months, kmart only provides 1 year warranty and has no maintenance service. Will not recommend this product.

You cannot knead dough with the dough hook – I made a batch of dough and the machine shakes , vibrates, and cannot knead the dough. More energy is being spread through the machine instead of into the dough hook. Super disappointed I spent 79.00 of my money of this . It is junk Show details

May as well beat butter and sugar by hand - kmart anko bench mixer – How disappointing is the recently purchased KMART ANKO BENCH MIXER. I use mainly for cakes therefore creaming butter and sugar - end up beating by hand - dry ingredients stay at the bottom of bowl. Very disappointed. Show details

Thought it was ok until I tried to cream butter and sugar – For $69 I was originally impressed with the product. I purchased in April and have used 4 times. Useless for beating butter and sugar. It’s very easy to use and easy to clean which is good. Should of invested in a Kitchen aid after all. Show details

Taking it back tomorrow – Butter and sugar into bowl, started on slow, butter and sugar just turned to paste on the very bottom of bowl. Scraped it all up and started again. It misses the bottom of the bowl by about 1/4 cm. Total waste of time and petrol going back to Kmart. And I usually love everything from Kmart. Show details

Works well – Ive had mine for a couple years now. Nothing has broken. Do need to scrap from edges more so than not to get an even mix. Dough hook isnt that great and bowl cant handle it (continues to slide out of place) other than that, works well. Show details

Anko Mixer – One of the paddles for the mixer Has completely broken and only had 6 months to use it. Better off getting a more expensive brand as this cheap one has not lasted long at all. Can’t even get a new part for it so it means will have to buy a new one. Not happy Show details

Cheap price and quality – Received this mixer about 5 years ago and have used it plenty of times. Very good value for its price but beware there are definitely compromises with the build quality. the dough. Can't complain too much as I have used it many times over the years. Overall would recommend if you don't bake regularly but need a cheap machine to sometimes whip up some cupcakes or something.

Affordable yet working well – The fact that it surprised me is it does the job well! Worst mixer I have ever had – I am not sure if it is the shape of the bowl but this mixer does not mix well. You have to keep scraping down the bowl as dry ingredients stay on the outer edge of the bowl. long that the mixture goes past the point where you can use it and still not frothy. This morning I tried to mix a cake mix and after 15 minutes of mixing on high speed there were still lumps of butter in it (yes I used soften butter). A total disappointment.

the four years I owned it. I have now had in the past two months two Homemaker appliances break down completely well before I expected. It is sad that we live in a throw away society but this is what I have to do with this heap of junk - throw it away and buy a new one which I did at the Harvey Norman Black Friday sales and got a Sunbeam Mixmaster for only $195. I won't be buying Homemaker brand ever again!

of this little gem is its size. It is very bulky and annoying to grab out the cupboard at times but thats all bench mixers. And for only $69 its an absolute must in any kitchen.
