Geoff Dotter and the rest of the homestar team made it very easy. He kept us informed during the whole process and was very professional and answered all our questions along the way. We have used them for years with our previous property so they are consistent. Two things that are good thar could be improved; 1. loan application forms that sum & prefill details where possible (current application forms are editable PDFs that you key everything on manually), and 2. The banking app is stable could have a few more features in it like the ability searching for transactions. On balance Homestar is worth going with, I would highly recommend them. Love what they try and do as a bank, competitive rates, good service etc, however what lets them down is Access via Web and Apps, Web banking is hit and miss clunky phone app not any better. Have days where I cant do anything, cant transfer money cant use features, or will work for a short time. They have plenty of maintenance periods but just cant seem to get this right.Yes I've spoken to them but they do nothing but direct you to support! Real pity because your close but not quite there! Dont waste your time or money with this company
Take forever,having to ask for extensions on the contract ,then comeback with no real reasoning why loan is refused ,just we dont meet the banks credit risk criteria despite wasting everyone's time and costing us money.
